I was supposed to get a 15 foot truck from another East Lansing location but they called and advised someone did not return and I would have to drive the 20 footer. Did not like the large truck plus a gas guzzler, very disappointed that my preordered 15 foot van was not available.DAVID G.
The first vehicle I was given was extremely filthy inside and out plus had undocumented damage, and had a tire warning light on. They acted like it was no big deal to have the light on because they just changed a tire, which could be true, but I was not comfortable with taking it on the highway so they put me in another one. Then after having a lot of trouble changing the reservation, they gave me the key to the wrong one and flagged me down as I left the parking lot. The third one I guess was the charm, but had spills on the bed liner of the van. At this point I decided I would live with it. I was the only customer and it still took 40 minutes on a "contactless, quick" 24/7 truck share reservation to get it right.Tori B.
I rented on line a 6 x 12 utility trailer with ramp. When I showed up to pick it, and they didn't have one. I was told the previous renter had not returned it yet. I understand and that is beyond uhaul's control. I was able to get a 5x9 trailer with a ramp that ended up working. However they needed to redo the order as the size and price changed and it took forever as the clerk was doing everything on an iPhone and could not change the rate in the computer. Therefore I can only give an average rating opposed to an excellent rating.DENNIS JAMES H.
I was told that the van had under a quarter of a tank, so the workers in u-haul said if I return it at a quarter of a tank I would be reimbursed around 23$ in which has not been returned and was billed to my card, I am a loyal customer to u-haul and I do not see where I did not return it with what they asked, in which the truck had a quarter of a tank and I have the gas receipt. When I rented the equipment the person who waited on me was very helpful and very pleasant could not have asked for a better experience. When I returned the equipment Peyton ignored me and when I asked for help was rude and displayed a poor attitude. It was very irritating and not a good experience. I was told the hitch we had would work and it didn't, the trailer bounced around and was a really rough ride. I also showed up to pick up the trailer and the lights weren't working and the employee just told me it would be â€œokâ€ to not have break lights. I was unable to check in online, is the promised equipment was unavailable. He spent I had to come in to contact with potential germs and also delayed my pick up. I had workers waiting at my house that I was paying so it cost me a little bit of money.LAURI JO D.
Worst experience and truck! We did mobile pick up and that took waaaay longer. Truck wasn't ready, dirty, miles were way over than what my app said and made us go inside again. Way less gas than contract said. Truck is in poor condition- alignment off, shakes when stopping, takes forever to shift on highway. I drive a bus, I know this isn't normal and safety issues. We didn't even finish our project before returning it. Wasted $70, will never rent again Fromm uhaul and advise others to watch out. Also- where's the employees mask?Betsy G.

The gentleman that checked me out was not wearing his mask either time I came in, though other employees were, he just didn't seem to care. It made me incredible uncomfortable as this was the first time I left my house for anything in weeks. the van was not clean at all so I had to sweep it twice. Really not happy.CODY JAMES F.

The 17ft truck I rented was in poor condition and got very bad gas mileage I only drove 27 miles with a very light load and needed to put 6 gallons of gas in to get back to half tank I left with. (4.5 miles a gallon?) I read they should get 10 miles per gallon. I'm not sure the gas gauge was accurate.DONNA JEAN S.
Poor service overall. Just choose a different location. The employees work slow - they would rather chat and joke around than just work more efficient. The gas was low and kept singling low gas so I couldn't see the miles - to find out the miles weren't accurate and had to pay for the difference. I don't mind paying for the extra miles because it's my fault in a way- but I guess I would expect the employees to inform you before you go out and jump in the truck that you have to hit a button to display the miles. Also, don't trust the dolly they have in their truck. If you have valuable belongings being transported, the dolly can break loose mid drive and start sliding/rolling into your things.RYAN ALEXANDER G.

I traveled 11.7 miles the uhaul truck odometer showed 15 miles. I did the route in twice to make sure. Your mileage is not correct and I'm sure you are aware. I think that is your scam. .y sister rented a truck to move 3 months ago. Their speedometer showed 33.4 miles they were charged. For 41.3 miles. Uhaul has been around a long time. I called on the phone, during my rental told him I was not gonna be back by five which they asked for when I first rented. They told me no matter what it was gonna be another day rental, I was mildly upset. Because when I rented it I thought that I had till the morning. Which is correct?
