The only thing I wasn't happy about was that I don't think the truck came to me with a full tank of gas. I drove 44,6 miles and had to put in 6,4 gallons of gas, so unless the thing gets less than 7 miles per gallon, then the previous person returned it to you not full. The mobile app seems to quit out at weird times. During check out, there was what seemed to be an error page, and that was the end of the check out procedure. When returning the rental, there was a link regarding the key drop instructions, but the app reverted to the home screen before I could read them. Fortunately, I remembered the original lock code.David H.

We reserved a 26' truck several weeks in advance for a one way move from Colorado to Wyoming, about 350 miles. On the day of the move there was no truck available, even tho it was reserved well in advance. We were given no notice that there even was an issue. We had 10 people standing around waiting to help move a 4 bedroom house and no truck to put anything in. After several hours of talking to the local Uhaul and the main (traffic) control they offered us a 15' truck and 12' trailer as a solution. The total square feet of capacity was 600 sqft less and not near enough for our move. Another Uhaul office ended up giving us their local 26' truck. That meant we had to drive it both ways, pay for both ways mileage, and gas. We had to drive an extra hour out of our way to get the truck and then to return the truck. The original reservation was for 8am, and we finally got our truck ready to load about 1pm. Uhaul refused to give us any discount after the lost hours and excessive mileage/gas costs we had to absorb. Half of our help had to leave before the we even got the truck. The local Uhaul offices were as nice and helpful as they could be, but the district and/or main offices were horrible. They acted as tho they didn't care whatsoever that we were affected so much by their behavior. I have used Uhaul in the past without any issues, but I will never use them again or recommend anyone I know to use them. As a business owner, it was the most deplorable behavior one could have and my employees would be fired if they treated a client with such absolute disdain. I will spread the word of how we were treated to as many people as I can. Thanks for nothing UHaul!!MICHAEL A.
After researching and reserving equipment (a 15-foot truck with a tow dolly) well in advance, Uhaul called me less than 24 hours before my move to let me know that nothing I had reserved would be available. After 4 hours of phone conversations, I ended up with the right size truck, but a friend had to take 2 days off from work to drive my vehicle along with my move. Uhaul gave us some extra miles so my friend could drive the empty truck back as a round trip but I won't be working with them again. This is a Uhaul corporate problemâ€”the folks at Empire Storage were compassionate, patient, and helpful. On a corporate level, Uhaul seems to operate on a model where they are ok having customers commit to their move only to be told that the customer will need to make extreme accommodations to compensate for Uhaul's scheduling shortcomings.JEFFREY W.

Most Helpful: The follow-up call from a live person to make sure I understood the online check-in/out process, and that they have a WiFi password on the front door in case my reception was sketchy - which it was. These little above-and-beyond efforts are really appreciated. I'd definitely recommend this location. The checkout process using the mobile app (iPhone) was a little cumbersome, requiring I abandon the first reservation and start a new one, as the first attempt "stuck" at the very last screen. This required a phone call to the 800# to make sure everything was confirmed properly. All in all, still a positive experience to limit contact here during Covid.Mark T.

The U-Haul on Empire Road, in Louisville, Colorado is an example of a well run business. Mobile app for return was slow and failed when trying to upload photos. Tried many times with two phones, finally gave up. Fortunately, this location took care of check in for me the next morning. Will make sure to return during business hours next time!OWEN K.
The UHaul app was terrible. We eventually got it to work, but it frequently gave errors and we had to try multiple times. Specific examples include: - the app saying "ERR_CONNETION_ABORTED" after trying to upload the passport photo (I know I had internet connection), - No loading indicators / spinners, meaning I was never sure if I didn't press a button, or the app was just taking forever to load. This is a pretty basic UX thing. - app doesn't handle phone rotation well, which I had to do a few times to take pictures. If you rotate the phone, some buttons stop working, such as when uploading a picture of the odometer.Roman D.
