I reserved a truck for 6:30am and online pickup. I got a confirmation email at 1:00 am that said it would be ready. when I arrived, My reservation was switched to 7:00. I was given no notification of this and I had a crew sitting around for 30 minutes waiting for the truck. calling the customer service number was pointless with a 25 min wait and terrible phone connection so I couldn't understand the agent.
This is my favorite Uhaul location!

The rental and return of the vehicle we rented went very smoothly. We'd definitely recommend this U Haul location to friends and family. The General Manager was great to work with as well. A great asset to U Haul.
Ordered a 26' truck to only walk out to a 20' truck. Was never told that I would be downgraded. Talked to the manager at drop off and the big messy guy says â€œwhat do you want me to do about it?â€ You took it you rented it.... horrible experience and even worse customer service. Even paid the same amount. What a rip off. What kind is scheme are you running here? Lil bait and hook? Takes me 15 minutes on hold to speak with someone. Did not have enough room for a long move trip. Had to leave things behind.
Please do a better job cleaning the windows, there's nothing like getting into a vehicle you've never driven, and are unfamiliar with, and you can barely see out the windows or use the mirrors due to glare on the streaks all over every surface. It's a safety hazard, and sort of gross.
POST YOUR "LOCATION BARCODE" NEXT TO THE FRONT DOOR. We spent 20 minutes trying to find the location barcode. There are a dozen green "24/7 return" signs scattered about the property that are up to about six feet tall/wide. Several are by the marked "Customer Entrance" to the rental OFFICE area, and its second door, and the storage lockers entrances. NONE OF THOSE have the "location barcode" on them. We finally found the damn barcode (1/2" x 1-1/2") on a tiny one square foot sign on the garage door jamb of the maintenance area, as ABSOLUTELY FAR AWAY as it could be WALL mounted from the "Customer Entrance". Since you require the barcode for "24/7 return", put the damn thing where people would expect it to be, you know, sort of by, the like, FRONT DOOR, Clearly Marked, "CUSTOMER ENTRANCE". This was â€œicing on the cakeâ€ for an irritating experience. I rented a 6' x 12' utility trailer with a tailgate, because it had the highest payload, from a location on the way to the jobsite. The pickup confirmation was for a location 8 miles the other way and for a trailer with a ramp that takes 700 lbs off the tare weight of the trailer. They finally gave me the tailgate trailer, but it was still in the opposite direction, AND Straightening out THEIR mix-up took two phone calls and 3 trips from the office area to pickup area. Total WASTED TIME on this rental was over two hours.
I believe there is a huge false advertisement in your rental rates. Advertise a rate for in town which was the case for me. Rented and returned same day but was charged over 250.00 for a 20' truck. I have been a loyal customer and was even an employee over 20 years ago. I will definitely shop around next time I need a moving truck.
I felt like a burden to your staff and there was no flexibility in the online reservation or in person. I made a 2-day reservation and was told at pickup that I had less than 12 hours. This is the last time I will use U-haul. Every time I try to rent equipment, I have one issue or another and am treated poorly. I tried the online check-in this time, which was much easier, until I went to pick everything up. I had to remind them I included dolly's and pads, and the man who loaded them acted like I was putting him out. The way the trucks get filled for fuel is also a rip-off. How are you supposed to guess how much gas to put in, when it doesn't start with a full tank? I spent $20 more on fuel than I needed to and don't mileage get credit for that. Nice.
Parking here could be a little tight from time to time but they have always had me processed, both out and back in, so quickly is has never been an issue for me. You can see them cleaning each vehicle as it is returned. They have great customer service and all the supplies you may need. I will be back in spring for my next rental. I highly recommend this store.
The pick up location and drop off location personnel were very professional and helpful. A huge word of caution, I found the web page to be a huge mistake when it came to ordering the equipment since it is very poorly designed. Having to deal with the 800 number personnel only exacerbated the problem. I found them to be either of no help or outright rude. Go to the location to receive service.

Unfriendly counterperson made me feel like I was a bother. They gave me the wrong key and I had to go back to get the correct one. Another bother for them. I will rent from U-Haul again, but will avoid this location.

EXCELLENT customer service personnel
The reservation process was the most stressful experience imaginable. I was told on 2 separate occasions. First my reservation was being pushed back 2.5 hours and being moved to another location, I called the new location and was on hold for 25 minutes and then told to call back because the computer was being slow. I end up calling a few times and ended up with my noon pick up time again (the correct time). An hour later I receive a call saying my time is now pushed back to 4 or 4:30. I had people coming to help me move at 12:30 and was told now for the second time after noon had been confirmed that it wasn't gonna happen. How does this happen? Reservations that are made online and/or over the phone and confirmation is received should not have to go through this the day before pick up. Very frustrating.

Discontinue the environmental fee. If you need to finance your business operations, just price your rentals accordingly and don't tack on fees in the name of the environment or anything else..
Your on-line mobile check-in did not work and my husband had to go inside anyway, after I paid in advance and went through the mobile process to pick up the truck. We got there early at 8:50am and it took half an hour to get the truck after my husband went inside. There was no mention that a family member need to be available to verify ID.
Thanks for providing a clean environment and taking care of us during our use of U-Haul. Only recommendation would be having easy access to hand sanitizer throughout the store (particularly at the entrance) and making it more visible to customers. Outside of that: as always our experience with U-haul was smooth, efficient, and certainly plan to use your services again.
I pulled in at 7pm, planning to use my phone to return the truck. There is a Subaru car parked in the Equipment Return area where the cleaning supplies were. I was looking at my phone and a male employee comes up to my window and tells me they're closed, there's no one to help me. PLEASE NOTE THE OPEN SIGN IS ON!!! I told him that's fine, I'm doing it through the app anyways, he walks off. Few minutes later, standing outside the truck looking at my phone app, a woman walks up and says, "can you pull the truck up to the cleaning station?" It's now empty of the Subaru. I told her I could when I finish with the app but just for clarity, I said, "Why isn't there anyone to help me if the OPEN sign is on and you're still here?" She then says, "At 7, we're done!" And proceeds to walk off. I commented back, I'll make sure to place that in the comments, she bobbed her head yes and kept walking away. I finished my truck and left. Now 1 employee coming up to me (while I'm in the truck) and making sure I know they are closed in a "matter-of-factly" tone is one thing (sign says open, and I didn't ask anyone for help) But 2 employees going out of their way to confront me (again I never spoke or elicited help from either employee) and also asking me to move the truck is utter ridiculous. Her attitude was horrible, his I could have shrugged off. But after doing a full day of moving, it was completely unnecessary. I'm saying something cause it was just that rude.........
