I was arriving with a filled 20' truck and had been told your 10' storage locker would be the right size to store my belongings. The location did not have my expected storage needs so they had to give me two 5' lockers and even that was not enough so I ended up needing three 5' lockers. It was very difficult for my moving helpers to travel up and down the slow elevators to the 3rd floor and appropriately pack 3 different small lockers. It took 2 guys 5 hrs. to complete the unloading of my truck into the storage. And they were hustling nonstop the whole 5 hrs. That was terribly stressful not to mention expensive to have to double the hours I expected to get unpacked when I had other obligations as part of my move. The U Haul staff was helpful and kind but I could tell they were short staffed too. They did their best for me but it would have been nice if they had known about the storage needs that had been reserved before I got there. The unloading into the lockers was nearly as stressful as the 2400 mile drive!

You have ripped me off! I rented the truck for 1 day less than 3 hrs, drove less than 30 miles and you charged me $218! Never again!

The truck had 146,000 miles on it!!! Gas gauge did not work properly. II was charged for 112 furniture pads when I only rented 12. Overall the last two times I rented from U-Haul were a nightmare. The first time I was charged for a missing key and it was a hassle getting the refund!! Long wait times on the phone for customer service. I wish there was another truck rental company closer to my house, I would have used them.

Knowingly rented us a truck where customers had reported starting issues. Huge pain/expense resulted from truck that wouldn’t start in the ferry line. Cost lots of extra time and money, very poor experience all the way around.

The overall experience was fantastic. I accidently went to another location first and was confused why I couldn't "pick up vehicle" when I was there. It might have been helpful to have the option available, but inform me with an error that I was in the wrong location when I attempted to use it, rather than simply not showing the option if I wasn't there.

First, I want to say the employees were very nice and the truck we rented worked great. My complaint is the gas situation. When picking up the truck, we were told the gas tank was full. We were at the counter inside so I'm not sure how he knew that was true or not. I assumed since they do this for a living, they must be accurate. Well, no, that's not the case. When leaving we noticed the gas gauge was not on full, but still gave them the benefit of the doubt knowing not all guages are accurate. We drove 13 miles, start to finish. Required to fill the tank back to full, we ended up having to put in over 7 gallons of gas. Showing us, the tank was definitely not full when we picked the truck up and the gas gauge was correct. I am aware trucks burn/use more gas than cars because used to have a huge fan that guzzled gas, but I am positive this was more than we used. The most frustrating part was when we dropped it off and mentioned it to him, he made a joke saying "thanks, we will never complain about that" followed with a more serious "we don't give refunds on gas". I've always had good service at uhaul so I hope this was an isolated incident, but it feels really slimy. I'm so dissapointed. Going to try another rental next time before going back or make sure to check things myself instead of trusting the employees which is an added task that shouldn't be needed. I miss the days of trusting people fully.

I was not pleased that the debit card I had to leave on file was charged when I specifically told the people that checked me out I was going to use a different card. They were not able to reverse my transaction which caused a great deal of inconvenience on my part.

We rented a 26’ truck and needed it for 5 days. The lady was rude saying that online you can only reserve for 24 hours. She didn’t assist us with any alternatives. We left with truck called to see if we could have access to new location, answer was no. Returned truck unused and was charged $69 for nothing! We then called 800 number & they recommended renting two 15’ trucks. More $$ expense for us.

We were told not to bring the truck back before 24 hours were up but we had to. We brought it back 2 hours after renting, all was fine. Yesterday (a day after we returned it) we were called asking where the truck was. That wasn't a good feeling! Please check things in and make sure they're there before you call someone and accuse them of not bringing back a truck. It hadn't been checked in until the day after we returned it, and it had been returned, in paperwork, at 1:30 that day, so why did I get a call at 4:15 asking where it was? Just frustrating.

I’m not sure if you can do anything to improve it, unless you change the layout of the lot. When it gets busy there, the line for returning equipment goes out onto the street, and is a long wait.

1) Not create an alleyway of dollies...put them on display on the left of the entrance rather than forcing customers to go around them to get to the door. 2) provide more information on the website about trailer lights/adaptors - maybe provide pictures that show different connections 3) sell beverages - you would make a fortune

Overcharged. I was charged for 2 extra days when I returned it the same day I rented at 1/2 the mileage I initially asked for. I spoke with customer service and sent an email to the manager asking about being refunded for additional charges and received no response.
