My booking was from 12:30 pm. About 25 min I waited at the store as the store person was busy with his own business (LED Lighting) customer. Truck was ready but he was answering his customer. There is conflict of interest between U-Haul and other business
1 - don't make the customer have to re-answer all the online pre-check in questions when they arrive for pick-up, especially when doing it online was supposed to speed up the process. 2 - check that your vehicles are working before the customer arrives 3 - take responsibility to fix the issue with the vehicle and not leave it to the customer when the vehicle hasn't even left your property. Serious need to improve customer service. 4 - keep jumper cables available on site
The seats of the cargo van were not completely clean when picked up. Pet hair was found on the seats.
We did not have a reservation, yet we received excellent and curteous service, the van was in great shape, clean and functional, we left the key in the box and by the end of the day we received the receipt for the whole service charge -- overall a very pleasant experience!
Do not ever charge me an after-hours fee without warning me about it before I rent the truck. I was totally shocked by this charge.

The shop assistant is very rude, doesn't care customer, his main job is LED light & Electricity so does not careto U-haul customers and Satisfaction. He didn't come to help but when I separated Cargo trailer alone, then came back to him, he entered late time in website and didn't consider to arriving to his job site and time I was doing to separate Cargo and lpark it
I do not recommend mobile pick up to anyone at this location particularly. It was very confusing and the sales man at the LED store was very rude. He did not offer to help me. I asked where the keys for the car were located and he just told me at the back of the building. I walked all the way to the back but could not find anything. When I walked back to the store askikg him for help he was rude and very unprofessional. He kept on saying you did the mobile pick up and it's your job to find where the car or the key is.
Gentlemen at rhis location was very pleasant. When I called that I am late he said no worries and you still have time till next day.
The rental vehicle was honestly disgusting from top to bottom. It is abundantly clear that Uhaul does not conform with COVID-19 safety procedures. When I disputed the charges when checking out, nobody contacted me to discuss. They just billed me anyways and pretended like I was a satisfied customer. Honestly a shameful display by Uhaul and I will never ever use them again or recommend to a friend. They should be reported to the local health authority for noncompliance.
The process for registering and finding the keys was the closest thing to an escape room since COVID hit. We didn't want to dispute any photos in case we were locked out of the van. Photos weren't up to date.
I would not use the smart check-out again unless I have no other option. I had to send a picture of my Driving license 3 times, and my head shot 2 times, one of them during the long wait in the parking lot while someone was verifying my appointment, this took around 15 minutes, plus the time needed to take photos of the vehicle and confirm stuff on the app. so about 20-30 minutes after the time I booked the Van, I was able to get out of there. An in person check out is much faster and easier.
Feedback regarding U-Haul Contract 28037823 This was a very disappointing rental experience for me. The service at the John street location was great. However, I had placed my rental with the location on Doncaster. When I arrived at 11:00 yesterday, I tried to pick up my vehicle with the website and received a message that the vehicle was not available. I went into the store and was advised that the vehicle I had reserved was supposed to have been returned the previous night but had not yet been returned. Despite the fact that I had a reservation and the vehicle had not been returned, the proprietor of the store had not contacted the previous renter in the two hours the store had been open to ask about getting it returned. To make it worse, she told me that this had happened several times before with this same person. She offered to rent me a cargo van as a substitute but did not offer any sort of discount given that I would need to take multiple trips if I switched vehicles. In the end she found the alternate rental at the John location, but that resulted in my having to travel and pay for an extra 12 km of driving. (Plus related gas charges). This experience has been very disappointing and soured me on the idea of using u-haul in the future.
There was no dolly in the truck. We had paid for dolly as well.
Please indicate that the lock box is in the back of the store, not close to the drop-off box at the front of the store. It was unclear and confusing
Trailer lights not working properly. Left turn and left stop light. I was also Charged For overtime return even when I booked for less than a day
I gave average not to the location itself. But rather to u-haul reservation system. The guy at Americo Lighting was great, for him i will give 5 stars. I booked the 15 ft truck at a location near me. And as the truck was not available they sent me to Americo. To my surprise they change my order to give me a mini cargo van. The reason I booked a 15ft truck is because I know how much stuff I have to move. So there was some discussion that went by. And 2 hrs later I managed to get what I needed. Everything shifted by 2 hrs and even then UHaul charged me extra fee for returning the truck late..???????
