The guy running the place said we didn't put in enough gas after we used the truck and charged us $7 when the tank only had 3/4 of tank when we picked it up. As far as we're concerned it's a scam.

I arrived during business hours and the door was locked. There was a sign on the door indicating that customers should ring the bell as the proprietor could be anywhere on the property. I rang the bell and I heard the bell sound. I waited for what felt like two minutes and I was about to ring again when I saw a man standing at the counter inside the door. I knocked on the door and the man came to the door. He said something like, “The bell works just fine,” with a scowl and he acted like it was an inconvenience to have to open the door and have to deal with me returning the U Haul.
AMY JEven though there was some confusion in the computer about something with my reservation, they were helpful and provided the moving blankets I had reserved.

WALLACE AThe list of questions asked of me went on and on to the point I nearly walked out. The most absurd request came when they asked me to provide a second telephone number for someone who could vouch for me. I thought for sure they would require a copy of my fingerprints and/or DNA. When I went to pay with a $20.00 bill, I was told to pay with a credit card. If I insisted on paying with cash I'd have to pay $60.00. Filling out the paperwork cut significantly into the time I had to get the move done and the trailer back. The process was way too cumbersome and time consuming! I'll never use this U-Haul location again!
