I booked a 15 foot moving truck, they said it was in stock, when i got there they only had a 10 foot one for me to use which really screwed up my move. I had to go back to Nanaimo from Kelowna toget my last few things that would have fit in the 15. I also paid for boxes and then they did not provide them

Worst customer service experience ever. Reservation originally made under Jodi Jamieson but had to be changed to Meg Hansell because of the following: Reservation made more than one month in advance for a 15’ truck to be picked up by my house. Location for pickup of truck was changed 3x within 48hours. Location changed as far as Ladysmith, which was in the opposite direction of my move, and would have been more than an extra hour of driving time/km charged to ME because of uHaul’s overbooking of its trucks. Reservation of 15’ truck changed to 20’ truck and greater (26’) during the course of that 48hours prior to pickup. Worst of all, I was told I would have to pay for the larger truck. I didn’t want a larger truck, I wanted the truck I reserved! How you can expect the customer to pay for your overbooking of trucks is disgusting. I was told by my local uHaul rep that I had the benefit of being ‘upgraded’ to a larger truck. This was laughable. Complete incompetency/inability to assist me when I called customer service. Put on hold for more than 20mins at one point after waiting 40min to be connected to someone. Tried calling local locations but calls never returned or even picked up. Local uHaul locations blame everything on head office and head office blames everything on local locations. Mobile pickup doesn’t work properly so I was forced to go into the uHaul location where I was dropping the truck off and wait in line for another 30mims because EVERY customer in line was complaining about the same terrible experience. I will NEVER use uHaul again and I’m going to blast your company on social media to friends, family and strangers alike to warn them of what to expect when booking with uHaul. I never take the time to submit feedback like this because I recognize that every company has its challenges and things happen. I’m a reasonable person. But every step of the way something happened. And no one wanted to take responsibility and no one cared enough about the customer—me, to explain things. This is a perfect example of why an American company located in Arizona with phone reps located in International companies should never operate in Canada. Just complete incompetency all around.

When I went to pick up the trailer there was issues with the system and took about 30 minutes to try and get the rental done as the system "crashed" 2 times while I was there and they were locked out of the system for about 5 minutes. There was no review the of the trailer when I picked it up but upon getting it home and opening the back doors there were about a dozen blankets in it and a lot of dirt and gravel. Upon dropping off the trailer, I was charged for 4 days instead of the 3 for which I had it and then was told there was nothing they (the dealer) could do for me as it is Uhauls system. I then advised I was not leaving till we discussed it with Uhaul and a credit was put through and going through the paperwork, the person that was serving me on the pickup had written on the sheet "3 days" , not the 4 that I was charged for. He then told me there was nothing he could do for me today and I had to come back tomorrow if I wanted a credit.

I reserved a truck in nanaimo my confrontation told me the only one available was in ladysmith i drive to ladysmith the guy says that's weird calls nanaimo depot and they're it's several there what a waste on 2 hours get your act together uhaul that was a headache i didn't need thanx

I attempted to return the U-Haul to a Victorian rd location, but they were full. She recommended the terminal location. When I painstakingly parked that giant U-Haul in from there was a note directing me elsewhere. After almost 1 full hour I managed to back 26 feet of truck into oncoming traffic of the highway to then take the truck to a full lot! I parked it and wait d for my daughter. This lot is locate was on the corner where the escorts sell their wares. Thank you U-Haul! I was solicated!! I will never return. That was unnecessary and embarrassing. Lisa

Firstly when a customer is given the quote/estimate, the amount that is there is what you would have expected would be pretty close. Instead the quote was $19.50 p/day and got charged $85.00 p/day. I picked up the vehicle used it for 2 hours and returned it and got charged for 300KM. I tried to get this corrected but so far I haven't even had email or call back. I will not be able to trust what U-Haul gives me in the future, mind you I will most probably never use them again

The girl at this location, drove me to the yard where they keep the vehicles, in her personal vehicle which was dirty, and everything was covered in dog hair. Very unprofessional.

What should have been a simple move became a nightmare. We booked our truck 3 weeks early. 2 days before we were told that our truck had been booked for a 1-week rental, and was no longer available. We were told we could get another truck at this venue. The day we were given for pickup was a day the office was closed. Luckily, they actually realized this ahead of time, and said we could have the truck a day early for no extra charge. They couldn't seem to work out how to bill us when we showed up a day early as instructed, but we paid what we thought was the roughly $68 rental fee + insurance. We later received a bill for $155, which included the supposed free day's hire and random fuel charges, when we returned the truck fueled to the location for the same amount it had been supplied with. We disputed it with this location and they contacted head office and we were told it was resolved and to ignore the automated collection letters. We then received the same bill with a $30 late fee. We disputed again, and told it was taken care of, and that we would be charged the original $68. Our credit card has just been hit for $185. Total incompetence on the part of head office and this location - makes me wonder if we've been targeted by a scam. God knows if we'll ever see that money back. Don't use them! Nightmare!

When pick up the truck, he did not come with me to check everything befwithI use. The truck cannot speed up, it can only go slowly.
