I was very pleased how easy it was to make the reservation, drive the truck, make the payment,,,all of it. I would recommend uhaul to anyone who wants to move stuff.

We have rented several times before but this will be the last. Our reservation got messed up and we were not informed until 12 hours prior to our scheduled pickup time. We finally settle for a smaller truck which not only did we pay more for but we had to return it back to the location which is over an hour from where we moved too the. Stuck with a huge mileage bill. Every person we spoke with did not seem to want to help us find a solution which was at the fault of Uhaul. Incredibly unhappy with Uhaul and will make sure I share my distaste with others I know in search of a truck rental.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I was renting a van, purchasing supplies and having a trailer hitch installed on my car. Not one of those three things happened. I was there about an hour an a half total waiting to get the van and the boxes before I ran out of time and had to cancel them. They didn't have the trailer hitch on-site and they had the incorrect date for the installation. A week later I still have not heard from a manager despite several attempts to reach one. Some of my money has been refunded but I'm still trying to get the rest. This is a very poorly run operation.

My constructive criticism would be that I didn’t like the fact that I needed to get gas and I’m waiting for my email receipt. I also think they should walk out to the rental with you to go over “the basics”. Positive comments: The rental facility is very nice. The woman who helped me suggested I extend my time with the truck by 1.5 hours (at no extra cost) and I’m so happy she made that suggestion. Otherwise, I would have been in a real bind if I had to get the truck back for another renter. Overall, my experience was a positive one.

Suggest you assign a drop off location at the time the rental is initiated. It is very annoying to suddenly have thirty extra miles one way at the end of a move. I know it is more convenient for u-haul and certainly saves the company money - but it is hard on customers who have already driven a long way and now get to drive another hour or so. The drop off should be the closest U-Haul facility to the customers destination - and should be known by company and customer in advance. Thanks

The van had a couple of boxes in the back, which was not a problem. The van also could benefit from a wheel balancing, as the steering wheel had a wobble at highway speed, otherwise fantastic!

We had booked a 24 ft truck for a move and then received an amended reservation saying that we only had access to a 15 foot truck. We were then told effectively " take it or leave it" as there were others waiting. The owner of the facility said that unfortunately the matter was out of his hands. Although he was nice, it didn't solve our problem. When we returned the truck ( a day early) we were still charged $11.25 for the 1.25 gallons of gas we were short plus the additional days' rental as it was two hours into the next "day". ( It was 5 PM). All in all, U-Haul is a poorly run rip-off but, when you're stuck, you're stuck.

I was charged $60 for being 10 minutes late. Understand that the onus is on me, but there should be a pro-rated amount. What a rip off.

The only thing I would suggest is finding a way for UHaul to communicate if the customer does not get their first choice on locations. I originally picked a location down the street from my home and did not know about the change until receiving an email from this site in Newbury about a time change. Please send an email confirming the change and consider a discount if you do make a change on location, as it did impact the flow of the day to drive 40 minutes to another site.

While the interiors were well maintained, the exterior was dirty (especially the windshield). I cleaned it myself.
