We had a uhaul trailer that leaked. We informed the employee that we turned the trailer into and he seemed totally clueless on who we should contact regarding our things getting soaked. Also, we are having the worst time dealing the claim insurance to try and get reimbursed for our rental fee.

Weve used them before..we had an appointment for 3 pick up. Waited an 1.5..for oir u haul..on return after calling then saying we would be late do to construction. They ok we wont charge u..they charged us for another day. Said its automatic theres nothining he could do...the owner is a customer service person she was not there..im sure it would've been taken care of. Very rude and nonchalant attitude from the guy .

Staff couldn’t find my preferred drop off location...didn’t seem to care. Told me to call the UHaul number to report when and where I dropped it off.

Service was slightly rushed but I came in at a busy time. The vehicle was clean and appeared to be decently maintained but it was very "well-used". I would have liked a vehicle with fewer dents and scratches but at the end of the day it served its purpose just as well.

The tie down ratchets were very hard to work to get undone, the employee at the u-haul store didn't tell me how to undo them and because I couldn't unload car my rental truck was late getting back and I was fined $217 extra

Uhaul employee would NOT loan me a wrench to change my ball hitch and forced me to waste 35.00 on another hitch. Absolute bullshit and poor customer service.

My bill was higher than I expected after adding up all costs. Turns out they had over billed me for the pads, which are a flat fee and not a daily charge. It took awhile for the employee to figure out that that was the problem, but once he did he issued a refund and all was made right. Just make sure you do your own calculations to double check bill.

Improve on customer service skills. Provide better signage for after hour key drop. Current set up results in costly errors, i.e., customers dropping off keys at adjacent business. Adjacent business owner says it happens all the time. I did it (they were unable to check-in the rental truck) and it cost me an extra day of rental including insurance. Uhaul personnel refuse to do anything to address this matter; incapable of critically thinking to solve this common problem, lack customer service skills to show any empathy, and they only seemed interested in getting more money. This was an awful retail experience. I would not recommend this location. It's also very cluttered with tackle and bait products.

tHE GUYS FROM sCHWARTZ HOOKED UP THE TRAILER TO MY mERCEDES suv. tHEY LEFT THE WIRING HARNESS AND THE CHAINS TOO LONG AND THEY BOTH BUMPED THE ROAD ALL THE WAY TO fLORIDA WHENEVER WE PASSED OVER ONE OF THE LANE MARKERS THAT WERE RAISED. oNE OF MY DOGS WENT ABSOLUTELY NUTS WITH THIS LOUD BUMP AND THE TRIP TURNED INTO A NIGHTMARE FOR THE DOG AND ULTIMATELY US.

First, this wasn't the requested location for pickup. Two days before, I was called and told to pick up the here. Ok. Before I could ask if we'd be compensated for the extra miles to pickup, the phone rep hung up. When we got here, the truck we received only had a 1/4 tank of gas in it, so we had to estimate how much to put in to get as close at the start of the day to end up with a 1/4 tank when we dropped it off. Needless to say, we put a little too much in so they got 1/4 tank for free. Then we were charged $0.42/mile that went over the original estimate. We only went over by about 10 miles, so not a HUGE charge, but this was upsetting as the original pickup location was further away and we put extra money into the gas b/c they didn't give us a full tank.

I originally reserved a van at a Carmel location which is more convenient for me. The day before I get a call from corporate that they didn’t have the van at Carmel and my reservation had been transferred to Noblesville because they had the van. When I got to Noblesville to pick up the van the guy says they don’t have a fan. He was not nice and didn’t apologize he instead put me in a 10 ft truck. I didn’t want to drive around a huge truck to go pick up a desk and chair I bought from a store in Carmel. So it wasn’t good for me at all. Plus it cost me more in gas using that big thing. You advertise these vans and small pickups like it’s easy to rent for picking up small things like that but it was a huge pain in my butt. I reserved well in advance and I was supposed to be able to pick up easily using my phone and that process didn’t work either after I had gone through all of the steps online (because they obviously didn’t have the van ) I will not be using this service again. Also it sucks to change locations on someone when you also charge mileage. So I paid more than I would have for a vehicle I did not want

Staff does not work well together and does not appear to have any desire to help one another get the job done which results in poor customer service. A positive attitude will go a long way in improving the working conditions and customer service. I believe this must come from the top down. Poor worker attitude is a reflection on the attitude management has toward them.
