I think you need to modify or eliminate the reliance on cell phones for after-hours drop off. It was not until I had left the location in my own car that I discovered that I could only "check out" if I turned on my phone GPS while physically at the location where I dropped off the equipment and keys or I would be subject to a $20 "convenience" fee. Before the days of mobile apps, we survived just fine dropping off equipment after hours at locations with drop boxes. At minimum, you should clearly (not in small print) ask customers if they want to opt in to committing to UHaul that they will do things thru their GPS and phone. Some people don't even have that option. And, often during a move, you are not exactly focused on your phone or reading UHaul robo messages or even keeping your phone charged. I certainly was not, and my phone was dead when I returned the equipment. My location did not charge me the fee, which was awesome, but I would just say you should reconsider that procedure and charging the hidden *inconvenience* fee. .

You list Ace hardware in Norwich CT as a location. Anything but the truth. I had forgotten about Action and new of Murphyâ€™s in North Franklin when I finally reached Jose he immediately took care of me. He also went out of his way by telling me No Matter where I was he would always assist me and Action was quite friendly and down to earth. So to your Action and Murphyâ€™s I say thank you all so much 5 stars ! To Ace hardware 0 rating.

The vehicle is legitimately dangerous to drive at night. The nights are dim the point of barely helping anyone see on the road and the defog options for the window. Don't. Work. Sure they turn on but even with both windows down I could not maintain adequate viewing through the windshield. Uhaul, through cutting corners like the ones listed amongst others, has shown me that they don't give a fuck about my safety when driving their vehicles if they can save a buck or two in the process. I will not be using the service again.

I wish UHaul rented a handtruck with large inflated tires for those of us moving from the third floor. The standard dolly and the appliance dolly (which we also looked at ) both lacked what we really needed yesterday. The standard dolly we got was pretty beat up looking but functioned as well as it could.

This isnâ€™t really the locations fault. But the mobile pickup app is a disaster. Had issues picking up, the directions arenâ€™t cleared. Call the help number and wound up transferred all over and put on hold for well over 30 minutes all to be told I just needed to pay. The first two people couldnâ€™t have said that? Additionally, we were a little late picking up after our designated pickup time and that messed it up too. Very frustrating. Sadly, drop off was no better. Luckily we got there earlier than our drop off time because both the app and website kept dropping and crashing as we tried to complete the return truck process. Tried to call for assistance and wound up on hold for a very long time. Never reached a human. My husband was eventually able to complete the process on his phone while I sat on hold. Not how you want to end a day of moving. Honestly, we will likely never use the mobile process again. It was a large waste of time on both ends and not nearly as seamless as it should have been.

This was the most efficient and well-run U-Haul center Iâ€™ve ever been to! Seriously reward these guys... a really great experience from beginning to end! Usually going to a U-Haul store is akin to the DMV... slow, chaotic, bad customer service but the guys at action were awesome!

Didnt do checklist with us. Had to ask for help with mirrors. Was rushing us to sign things. Very slick and dishonest. Didn't send us final invoice til i called. Charged us for 4 gallons of gas. We returned with right amount of gas.take photos of your gauges. I know how to do math and read my card stmnt. He is not the only game in town. Wasting my time etc :( :( :( Didn't explain orally to us about prior damage which could have caused water damage to our stuff. Very unprofessional

My on question I have is I've been paying for the insurance and have not got an answer what it covers. I know roof damage , bent rims and a blown engine are not covered. Could someone let me know what's covered by insurance so I know.

I was NOT given the dolly I rented for 2 days and didn't discover it wasn't in the truck until I had gotten home. Nobody did any walk-around the truck with me nor did they show me that the equipment was on board like they usually do at better rental locations. Since I was pressed for time, we made do without it. But I was still CHARGED $14 for the 2 day dolly rental! Grr. Not going to quibble about $14 since the guys at Action Equipment were NOT friendly to begin with. Thank goodness I moved and don't ever need to rely on them again!
