I scheduled my pickup in Midland. Uhaul corporate called and said the truck I reserved wouldn't be available in Midland but there was one in Odessa and they wouldn't charge me the extra miles to get it. When I went to pick up my truck, the place was hard to find because it was actually an African foods store with a tiny little Uhaul sticker in the corner. It was run down and frankly pretty sketchy. There was a sign posted that said "Closed." We rang the bell and after several minutes a woman finally let us in. She barely spoke English, and was on the phone with someone speaking a foreign language throughout the entire transaction. She spoke with them more than us. She told us she didn't have the blankets we reserved, but that we wouldn't be charged for them. Of course I was charged anyway. I will never use the place again and I'll tell all my friends not to.
