We dropped the trailer off after hours so there wasn't any interaction with the staff. The drop-off instructions with the app were incredibly easy to follow and straightforward, which was great for allowing us to wrap up our move outside of business hours.
I would like to rent a U haul going back to Florida end of July 2020 but the prices are way to high. I paid $143 and would U Haul consider renting the same 5x8 trailer for the same rate going from Oregon OH to Northport FL? I looked on line and it was over $400
St.johns was good too made drop off was ok .

Would have been nice to get a break on mileage considering all we are going thru, I barely had enough money to pay for my use to move..
I am still waiting on a return call from this morning regarding my invoice. I needed the truck for Sunday the 8th, but was told by the phone clerk that the location that I was picking up from was not open on Sunday and they closed at 12 on Saturday so I needed to pick it up at the end of their day which would be 11:45. Also that there would be no additional charge for getting it early due to the being closed on Sunday. Joey, if you use it before Sunday you will be charged mileage
Someone who I spoke with from another store, I think his name war Eric, said I could pick up the uhaul at 8 am without mentioning anything about the process to pickup the uhaul on my own to find the keys and do the online checkout process. However the guy at St. John immediately came to meet me there at 8 when he wasn't open til 9am going out of his way for his customer, I was very impressed as he could have told me to come back later when he is open.
Did the quick pick up stuff online but still had to wait longer when there. Ended up not being very quick. The office inside is very dirty.

Not sure how you could improve on my experience with this rental. It was fast, convenient, reasonably priced , with clean and well maintained equipment. I would gladly return to them for any of my trailer or truck rental needs. Thanks Marty Zielinski Curtice Ohio
One comment, better lightning would of helped since we dropped it up late at night. It was hard to see. Otherwise, great location, smile
I picked up the truck and gave a $100 deposit due to paying in cash. When I returned the truck, the person I spoke with told me to write my name and number on a piece of paper and to leave. I had to bring up the fact that I paid in cash and put a $100 deposit down on the truck, and that I would like my deposit back. If I were to have left that day I may not of got any of my money back. So the person had to call his boss because he had not been told anything about my rental. To me this is bad business. Also to just have someone write there name and number down without checking the truck out, gas, or getting a receipt is crazy! So the person called his boss and then i had to wait about 20 minutes for the boss to show up! Which made me late to work! Then on top of everything, I ended up getting $27 back out of the $27.15 that was owed to me because the man didn't have change to give me. I go to my car and my husband asks why so little back. We look over the receipt and I was charged $14 for rental insurance that I was unaware of. I looked up the Uhaul insurance information online and it shows that I was charged for the most expensive insurance you can have for renting the truck. I only went 20.2 miles with the truck and I am a very careful driver. I did not need $14 insurance and I would have loved to be inform!! I will not be coming back.
This location was very far from my preferred location. I even drove past multiple other UHaul locations on my way to pick it the truck
Shut him down!! Gave me the wrong car trailer..too small for car but told me it was ok. Tire straps did not fit and fell off continuously on the trip to Florida. I told him this when we loaded the car and he said all was fine!!! At any time the car could have fell off the trailer possibly killing people!!! When we dropped the truck off in New Smyrna Beach they said we went 4,000 miles!! Obviously he did not record the milage properly. This was physically impossible within a day and a half. This guy obviously has no clue what he is doing and the kind of place that gives U haul a bad name. A complete miserable experience!!!
I believe I was overcharged. I rented a 4x8 and he only had 5x8. So that is what I paid for. This seems wrong. Pls advise.

I thought I was picking up at Byrne road location, was then changed day before scheduled pick up. We had to drive farther to pick up. Truck was very good. Overall experience was good.
Just a call to confirm drop off was good and a balance if any.
We put in a reservation for this location a week ahead of time. We got the confirmation but it was for a different location. We were fine with that so left it as-is. The morning of the pick-up date we called the new location to make sure everything was good to go and were told it was. Upon arriving at the Toledo location we were told the 17 foot we were supposed to get actually was not available. They told us one hadn't been returned and the other had a dead battery. After wasting 20 minutes trying to find a truck, we were told there was a 15 foot at the Oregon location...where we were supposed to have been from the beginning. So we finally got the truck. No apology was offered, no discount...nothing. This was by far the worst experience. We wasted over an hour of our morning driving around only to get a truck that wasn't the size we requested. This was a VERY poor experience on multiple levels. Will def. not recommend either location.

I had scheduled this UHaul months in advance because it was a very scheduled travel week. My location was changed the day before pick up and I was not alerted until the night before (I was left a message by the UHaul pick u location, not UHaul) and told me I had to be there by noon. An earlier time and at a location farther away than my original location. This altered my day with family that was planned way in advance. UHaul also canceled the pick up on me while I was actually at the pick up location. I had to call them to make sure I could still take the UHaul. It would have been nice if UHaul had communicated earlier than the night before about the change in pick up location and time. I had called UHaul the week before leaving to confirm the pick up and equipment and nothing was mentioned. Also, I was never emailed the invoice prior to pick up as the UHaul representative insisted, so I was threw off guard by the different price when I originally ordered the UHaul rental. I also felt bad for the man at this pick up location because he was planning on me begin there at noon since they closed, but because I wasn't alerted with enough time, I had to figure out how to rearrange my plans and travel time. He was gracious in waiting for us for an hour. Even though UHaul canceled the pick up when I wasn't there right at noon. Really?!?! Do you communicate with your pick up and drop off locations before doing that? I had to call UHaul to make sure I could still take the equipment. I was also charged twice and had to have AMEX deal with it. Drop off service person was very helpful and nice (as noted in next area). We made UHaul email the already paid (twice at the time) invoice (and then we got it 6 times!) and we called the location 3 days before the drop off date to confirm (which by the way was not the original drop off date chosen) so we were able to return it 3 days earlier than stated on invoice/receipt. And signed off on everything just to be safe. I shouldn't feel like I am going to be screwed over by a big brand name company, but you always have to keep on top of the details or they will get you! I probably won't be using UHaul again for all of the above. It was very annoying and added on way too much of my personal time to deal with the unorganization of scheduling and payment and location pick up service.
I rented an auto transport from here, and, after leaving the location, I discovered that it had a flat tire. The owner of the establishment would not help me resolve this issue, and he told me to "try putting air in it", knowing the I was driving over 2,000 miles to Las Vegas. When I told him the auto transport had a flat tire his only response was, "I don't know anything about that". Then I asked him who was responsible for making sure that my equipment was ready, and he never answered. We have used Uhaul several times, and I've never had this much trouble with them. Wondering if it was just this location, as it was a separate business that was an independent Uhaul dealer.
