The location seemed very unsafe, muddy with a swamp. the truck was also dirty and it had no gas. there wasn't a lot of help by anyone at the location and a simple pick up took over minutes to complete. this was really frustrating.

I was disappointed because the person duty was 20 minutes late. The truck was parked in mud it took me five minutes to get out. Was tld to check the gas meter and make sure it was 3/4 full. Because I was running late I looked at a gage and saw it was almost 3/4 full. Thought it was close enough. Come to find out I was looking at the wrong gage because the truck was plumb empty. I guess that place has a problem with people siphoning gas late nights. It cost 95.00 in fuel When I only drove the darn thing 45 miles. Wont rent from there again. That place should not allowed to rent uhaul vehicles.

Don't make your customers go to another location, after going 4 days in advance to make sure it would be available, it was not, I arieved at 4pm and by the time I was told that there was no trailer, I would have to go to pittsburg at 4.45 and they. Closed at 5pm lucky I was able to gtr there and I believe it was Kevin helped me and stayed, all the advanced planning so I could leave at 4 am almost ruined by the uhaul on sunset

Gas gauge registered below empty mark when I got the rental, asked attendant if the gas gauge worked he said it did. I had to stop and get gas didn’t want to get stranded. Gas cap was off don’t know if someone siphoned gas. After loading truck it did not start had to boost it. Didn’t call 800 number didn’t want to wait 2/3 hrs

When returning the uhaul at 100 a bliss ave in Pittsburg, it had a sign on the door stating that it was closed i had a 4pm drop off window i was there at 3:45pm the hours were from 9 to 5. I got back on side the truck to call and see if they would answer the phone no answer. I then went to a big parking lot so i can sit and call around to see were i can drop off the truck 1800- uhaul had me on hold for about 15 minutes so i hung up with them and decided to call the 100 bliss ave location again and i got a answer.The man i spoke to was very rude. I told him that i was there at 3:45pm and the door was locked and a sign saying closed. He replied that he has been there all day and he didn't know what i was talking about. I then came back to still finding a closed sign and a locked door. went to the auto repair shop in back is were i found him . I told him that he still had a close sign on the door and how i or any customer was to know that they were opened? he replied just give me the keys. I gave him the keys and as i was leaving he started cussing . That was not professional at all. he didn't come with me to check the gas level or inspect the truck. I made sure it was the right amount of gas and the truck was clean. So now i got and email saying that i have a 80.00 cleaning fee. WOW REALLY!

Well, since I’ve been on hold for over 30 minutes waiting to talk to Customer Service and having it drilled into my head that filling out this dang review is my 1st step in making sure the next customer doesn’t experience what I have experienced, here you go... On Wednesday July 25, 2018 at 4:43pm, I placed a reservation online for a Tow Dolly to be picked up at the Concord CA location on Monument Blvd on Monday July 30, 2018 at 9:00am. The contract # is 91438839. I arrived promptly at said location to find that did not have any Dolly’s even though the lady helping could clearly see on her computer that I did indeed have a reservation one? The lady was kind enough to call around to see if there was a Tow Dolly at another location and she did infact find one in Pittsburg, CA. Even though it was a total inconvenience. Regardless, I hopped into my truck and headed to Pittsburg now running late for the appointment I needed the Tow Dolly for. Once at the Pittsburg location, after having to wait for quite awhile because there was only one gentleman there working. This was a Towing Company and the gentleman told me that I was lucky to have caught him as he was just about to go out on a Towing call. Thankfully that wasn’t the case but like I said, I did have to wait a considerable amount of time to be helped as he was directing tow truck drivers to their next tow, he was answering numerous phone lines at one time and trying to help me. Once we finally got the paperwork completed, he explained that I needed to return the Dolly right back there to the Tow Truck Company in Pittsburg, not in Concord where it would be more convient for me, I was fed up!!!! For what I needed the Tow Dolly for yesterday, many people recommended your company, U Haul over another company called Wally’s that I was actually planning on going through. But, because you came so highly recommended, I went with you and it was nothing but a fiasco to put it mildly!!! While at the Concord location waiting, I saw a sign that read, “The UHaul Guarantee Reservation Promise - right equipment, right location, right on time as agreed or you get $50.” Well, after my awful experience and missing my appointment (thankfully they took me anyway), I’d like to know at a minimum how to get my $50. It would be great customer service if you just credited me the entire bill of $56.88 and would be even greater customer service if you also credited me an additional $20 for gas and my suffering. This was a huge mess up, totally inconvenienced me and I want to know what you are going to do about it!!!

Initial location was closed with no notice and this location is a tow truck location so I had to wait for 35 min before someone showed up. Then I was charged an extra day for no reason.

I reserved a truck with Uhaul. When I arrived to pick up the truck the door was locked. I had to stand in front of an open garage and shout to get someones attention despite the fact that it was during buisness hours. Once I was in the building, the man at the counter handed me a clip board and asked me to initial an acknowlegement that the truck has 1/2 tank of fuel. I refused to sign because I had not yet seen the truck. When we went out to the truck, its fuel tank was empty. Then the man gave me a different truck. He got in the drivers seat and marked the rental contract as 3/8 of a tank of fuel. When I got in the truck I noticed that the tank was actually only 1/4 of a tank. That does not sound like much but the difference is nearly five gallons. When I went inside to get the guy again, he came outside looked at the fuel gauge and stated that it was 3/8 not 1/4 full. We argued for several minutes but it became clear to me that this man does not understand simple fractions, or is possibly dishonest. He finally agreed to mark the contract to reflect 1/4 tank but never acknowleged that the guage actually read 1/4. He said "I just want to be done with this!" When it was all done it had taken me an hour to get the truck.... I am not happy.

I almost was charged for a thirty six mile trip, but the trip that I took the rental for was only six mile. This was due to who ever log the truck in from previous rental log mileage incorrectly. Mileage should been 4873, but was log in as 4837. Happy person in charge worked with me so I did not have money stolen from me by U-Hall!

Original appointment was at 9 AM, called and wanted to change the appointment to 1130 AM, guy at counter wouldn't accomodate that at all, called go U-Haul number and got that changed! When I got there, the guy was too lazy to do anything, check any paperwork, he didn't even ask if wanted additional insurance or not like other proper U-Haul facilities, first he said they charged me insurance, then he said they didn't! I called my Insurance company Gieco infront of him and made sure that I am covered and don't want any additional insurance, but guess what! Final invoice did have that extra amount anyways! Then all of sudden he said, he doesn't see any extra coverage there on paper at his end now, originally he didn't even gave me any paperwork, but when I went back to get paperwork, he gave me some paperwork which doesn't show coverage, which was good until the price showed up again on final invoice! Don't know if it's fault of U-HAUL or that guy who wasn't in the mood to help anyone who came in that day! Anyways e-mail U-HAUL to remove that coverage as I stated that I refused this coverage, let's see what happens!
