Ensure that either the truck reserved or another near by of the same size is available. The truck was five feet smaller than the one I reserved and not only was there mud in the back but previous renter’s papers and blanket had been left in the cabin.

When I arrived at 7:05am nothing was ready for me even though I prepaid and spoke to the representative the day before. No one, including the manager knew how to hook up the tow kit. I was not given or not installed tail lights for the car. I had to wait over an hour.

Truck was filthy and I had to spend almost a half hour sweeping and cleaning it out which I wouldn't have minded except for the dog feces smeared and smashed everywhere. I guess tracked off of someones shoes but there were large amounts of it in the truck and all over the ramp which I had to scrape and clean before loading all my belongings. Then when I returned the truck less than 15 minutes late I was told I was being charged $100 more for an extra day, Which i argued until they changed the time. I was upset because I had only driven the truck 11 miles and therefore put in almost 3 gallons of gas which I knew was more than enough but then was told it wasn't up to the mark it was when I rented and I would therefore be charged unless I put in more. Which I reluctantly did but was upset about. I also swear that when I checked the truck before I signed off to take it, the gas gauge was at 7/16 of a tank on the sheet which I noted along with the mileage, but then on the copy they gave me which I only noticed when I returned the truck, it was at a full 1/2 tank which I am almost certain was not the case. Not sure whats going on there but something fishy about the way that station is doing this. No way did I go through almost 5 gallons of gas in 11 miles though. Not happy with this rental although I was happy for the discount I was given because of my last rental mishaps a couple of weeks ago at this same place. Thank you for that. I would not rent from this Shell station location again though. I don't think I've ever had an issue with a U-haul rental but then two in a row at the same location? Not too good.

Hire people with customer service skills .they made me bring my U-Haul back 3 hours before it was due van told me if I didn't I will be charged

I ws mislead or not told what the mileage rate was and was shocked a 29 mile trip was 25$ or 89 cents a mile will probably not use Uhaul again

It didn't appear that anyone there at the pickup location knew how to use the UHaul computer system. They weren't expecting me, and couldn't find my order in the computer with either my name or confirmation number. They never asked us for our IDs, so I guess I could have rented it in someone else's name and blamed them if something happened to it. Ridiculous! When they did find me in their system, they gave us a van where the back door didn't shut. They said they were aware of that. I told the guy he should put in a service request to UHaul and the way he thanked me made it sound like he didn't even know he could do that. I had a confirmation from the store I requested, but the pick up location changed when I confirmed online the night before. It wasn't that noticeable, if I hadn't been familiar with the address I reserved, I probably wouldn't have noticed it flash by with a different address, because they are basically on the same street. The UHaul site said that someone would call me to verify availability, but no one did as of three days later. The van had mud on the outside and a bunch of gravel, sand, and concrete pieces in the back. I had to clean it myself before we could even use it because I was afraid it would scratch the furniture. One good thing they did was pull it out of the parking space and put it back. I didn't want to do that because there was a dumpster in the way.

The only issues I had were that someone (assuming the last renter) had left a bottle of ketchup and a large chunk of hair / wig hair (?) in the door console on the passenger side. I picked up the unit with approximately 3/4 tank of gas, which makes filling it upon return to the approximate same level challenging; if the staff fills it and requires the customer to return it full, that seems like the most reasonably easy way to address that. Otherwise, the staff was helpful, easy-going, the cab and box were otherwise clean, and site convenient. Much appreciated!

Getting the vehicle was a hassle. U-Haul didn't have a vehicle at the location most convenient to me, even after they said it would be there when I inquired a month before. Then, two days before my pickup, I received different messages saying my vehicle was ready to pick up at several various locations. It was confusing. The location where I picked it up was far away, at a convenience store/gas station that occasionally rents U-Haul equipment. This location did not have furniture pads, rope or a lock . Fortunately there was a hardware store nearby and bought the rope and lock there. I picked up the furniture pads at my U-Haul center closest to where I live. I prefer picking up my vehicle at a full-service U-Haul center, where the staff are more knowledgeable about the vehicles and can answer most of my questions..

Do not change pickup locations on a reservation without telling me. I had a reservation for one location and logged in to edit it - I wanted to pick up the truck one hour earlier. The site said I would be called if there was an issue, and I wasn't so I assumed it was ok. I showed up at the location I had selected only to be told that I had to drive across town because I didn't have a reservation there. I was told this happens frequently. Please fix this - I would have been much less frustrated if I had known ahead of time.

This was a bad Uhaul experience. I made a reservation online (with a confirmation number), and the original location did not have my van available when I arrived. Someone else did not return the vehicle in time so I was asked to go to a different location. This entire process ended up pushing my work back over an hour which ended up costing me money. If I receive a confirmation number, I would hope to have my vehicle available for the time reserved!

I brought the truck back after figuring out that i needed a larger truck. I had called the central line and they said to refer to the location for return and refund. At the location, the attendant didn't know what to do and gave me the area managers number from the sign. I called him but got no response and see the charge is still on my card... no one is on the same page and I didn't put any mileage on the truck so the charge is upsetting.

This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had. I will go out of my way to never use uhaul again. If I have to drive an hour to do so I will. First what is the point of reserving a vehicle at a specific location if the day of the pickup you text the customer and tell them to go to another location. So I was texted by uhaul a couple hours before my reservation saying it was at a completely different address then where I reserved it for. The new location was quite a ways out of my way but I happened to be somewhat close when I was texted. So I called the number and asked if I could just get the pickup now. They said that would be no problem and to come on in. My wife drops me off I go in. After 15 minutes of fumbling around it is apparent that there is no pickup on the property. I just spoke to these people 5 minutes prior and this location is like a hundred by a hundred lot. How do you not know plus why tell me you do just minutes before. Now I have two options. Go to another location or rent the more expensive van. I can't exactly get to another location since I was dropped off. Again because I was told my rental was their. I end up calling uhaul. The lady says I'll be able to pay the same price per mile as the truck because of the mix up. So I just rent the van. After I get home I noticed there was only a half a tank of Gas. Wasn't noticed because I wasn't given a walk around. I tried calling the facility I was at a half dozen times. No answer. I literally was just there. So I take multiple pictures showing clearly the odometer and the gas gauge. A few moments go by and I get a call from uhaul. Telling me that I won't be getting the reduced price per mile price for the van or the 50 dollars for a messed up reservation. Because my reservation wasn't till 7. I tried to explain that my pickup location was changes and I called to see if it was OK to get it earlier. No avail. Now I'm stuck with a vehicle I didn't want and paying more than I wanted to. Now comes the fun part. I drove 46 miles before returning the vehicle. I put in enough gas to get above the half a tank mark that was given to me. I go into the business to check out and am told that I need to fill up the truck. I told him that it was given to me with a half a tank of gas. At this point I am told that I am a liar because the piece of paper he has says it was full. I ask him how he would know since he didn't take the time to look the day prior when checking it out to me. He says the paper doesn't lie. So I show him and the other clerk my clear pictures. Showing that the odometer had 5 miles on it and a half a tank of gas. He still wouldn't believe me and said I probably stole the gas out of the vehicle. Which is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. So after 15 minutes of yelling at me I walk out of the store and call uhaul explaining my situation. Meanwhile the person who has done everything he can to try to bully me into fillin

This was the young ladies first rental, she was a very nice girl. Question, was her training incomplete or not done well? The station was understaffed, I understand this was not the girls fault, I have rented from you MANY times and know the ropes, I was showing your staff what was to be done. One staff in the store and one man on the pumps, many pumps active and many in the store, who was to go out to the truck? They needed more staff for the large business, the truck was returned last night and I was getting calls about it not having been returned today, it was in the space I picked it up from, about 20 ft from the front door. Would you take 45 min to do that again or send a friend? Again not the fault of the staff who had to work short staffed!

It took 1/2hour for the clerk to locate the reservation. She wrote down the wrong beginning mileage. We were hurried to a family party and didn't notice it. Upon return, they couldn't locate the prior rental and wouldn't adjust the mileage charge. We had to call another number to ask for refund. They sent an email for the refund amount but wasn't the full amount. I had to call again & got a clerk who was extremely rude. While talking to her, I had some coughs as I have asthma, instead of asking if I was ok, she signed "my gosh". When she transferred me to the person who issued the refund, Ross Morrow, he assured that they would never charged for estimate mileage and it was just a pending transaction. But we were indeed charged for it. It was an actual transaction on my account as it showed online. Don't understand why it doesn't show that on his system. He said he will look at it and contact me later. It was a horrible experience. Hope you can get it changed quickly or you will lose all customers... Thanks for your time, Kim Vu

Do not use this location. Three visits to this location, two of which were nightmares. Final visit; had I not been paying attention to the contract, estimate and final bill, this would have been pretty expensive. Phone reply manager Michelle and other phone reply person, Tammy, were SO helpful. Michelle is a rock star. Tammy took care of what was needed, so quickly and efficiently. Glad I had Michelle's and Tammy's numbers when went to return vehicle. Wonder how many others just pay what the attendant asks for, and the difference between the estimate and final billing amount, is just pocketed by location owner. It felt really deceptive.
