I had trouble understanding the terms of the contract due to the proprietor's strong Indian accent. After I still didn't understand the second time, he got extremely offended and asked me "WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?" He became disrespectful and unprofessional from that point on, berating me, holding up the process, and when I asked him to please give me the key so I could leave, he threated not to give me the key ... all due to an honest misunderstanding. When I had a friend drop the truck off to avoid further engagement, he told my friend he almost had me banned from renting U-Hauls in the future. What? It was a real Twilight Zone moment. I always use U-Haul, but I will NEVER use the 75 Garden Street pick-up location again.Harold B.

I was suppose to pickup the truck before the store opened. It was never explained how this would happen and the text messages took me to the Uhaul site where it was unclear what to do. I kept being asked if I wanted to rent another truck and after I filled out my profile it said I had no reservation. I found a number, not easily, for help and they were able to send a text for the driver's license photo to verify I was there to get the code to get the key. The photo would not upload. I called for assistance multiple times and was told to walk around for a better connection but that was not the problem. I was then told to talk to a regional manager in a chat option on the Uhaul App I asked how did that worked and was told I would see it. I uploaded the app, no connection problem here and saw no chat option, just more options to rent trucks and equipment. I had to wait 2 hours for the store to open and it took 5 minutes for the whole process. A second gentleman was there who also had problems with the website and decided to wait for the store to open to get the key. I kept being told it was easy and it always worked but the process and website were confusing and I would never want to try it with Uhaul again.William B.

The person who waited on us was very friendly and had a constant smile which makes these transactions easier. He explained everything thoroughly and even though we weren't able to get the truck we had reserved because the reservation was done incorrectly, he still made us feel comfortable with the van we ended up getting. At no time did I receive a receipt for the entire rental. Instead I received one for the miles I went over and one for the initial rental--which I had to poke around your website in order to find it. Why is there no receipt of the combine fees for the total rental period? It is very important that I receive a receipt for the total so I can get reimbursed and/or use as a tax write-off. Everything went great until we were attempting to return truck and the key fob did not fit into the dropbox slot. It is very obnoxious. Worried that truck might be stolen but I'm not going to wait around all night to find out. I don't know how possibly this bad of an oversight could occur. Please fix the slotDylan W.
Everything was perfect. The operator went above and beyond. The mileage and fuel level were not correct and the app would not let me take a picture to resolve the issue. The operator called and got everything taken care of. As great of an experience as possible while moving. Moving just sucks.Daniel L.
