When I arrived at the location there was no one there which made it very confusing to drop off the truck. I was also charged an extra $40 for being a day late when I went to return the truck on the same day and the location was closed.
I could not find a dolly which I ordered.
Arrival scheduled for 5 am. Street was closed off in both directions a half mile for ongoing construction that predated Oct 8. Walked in from barricades, only to find ALL lights at the location no working, ittook over 1.5 hours to check-in, find keys and truck in total darkness severely impacting my schedule.
Overall experience was great !!
I especially loved the truck, it was the cleanest Uhaul truck that I ever rented. The front was clean and the back of the truck where I placed my items was very clean.
Pick-up was supposed to be contactless- was asked to wait in lobby with another customer. Employee did NOT wear a mask, nor did the owner.
Nothing wrong with the pick up location, but my first pick up was cancelled due to the location not having a record of my pick up on their logs which caused them to reject the truck I was going to pick up. That first location was a 45 minute drive for me and was a last minute change from my preferred pickup location. I am very disappointed with the way that UHaul has managed my reservation and I will not be using UHaul for my next move.

Return process was a breeze.
This location did not respond to phone calls, or even messages from Uhaul scheduling. As a result, I was not able to speak to them beforehand to confirm/ask questions. Also, despite the fact that I returned the truck during business hours and handed the key to the person at the desk, they did not give me a receipt at that time. He said "you'll get a receipt by email", and the email came the following morning. I spend the whole day worrying about whether they would charge me extra. Also, the location is far from everything, deep in a residential neighborhood.
Not pertinent to the location, but I had to call Uhaul and was on hold for 30 minutes, person I talked to helped me for 20 minutes, then put me on hold while she called her tech support. While I was on her hold, I was put back into the initial hold line where I had to wait another 30 minutes for someone else to pick up. Ended up on the phone for an hour and 45 minutes to pick up my truck because the person who took my reservation spelled my name wrong (and never sent me my email confirmation).
Made reservation for a trailer at 8:00 at a specific location (Princeton Airport). The reservation was changed to a different location (Washington St. Princeton) and at a different time 8:30. A total disaster for me.
Overall the experience was terrible. I made a reservation a week before for a 9:00 pick-up on a Sunday. I arrived late for the pick up (at 11:00), only to find that my reservation had been cancelled. I was never told that this might happen. The guy at Corderos told me to phone U-Haul, which I did. Their automated recording asked me to hit "1" for rentals, which I did, but the recording kept looping over and over again, no matter what button I pressed. I hung up and went to the web app to make a new reservation, but it said that there were no trucks available at my location, which was untrue, since my truck was still sitting there. Fortunately, Mark from Corderos saw me getting furious and went into the computer system to make me a new reservation. Had he not been there (it was a Sunday and they were closed) I would have been out of luck.
The one issue I had was your online site. It would not recognize my email and password. I called your support and they gave me a work around. When I tried to return the van, the same thing happened. It didn't recognize my location or my sign in. My husband did the return off his phone with the contract number and it worked. Otherwise, van was great and easy to use.
Friendly and fast service every time. I have had 3 rentals and all have been fast and easy.
We used the online check out process and it was pretty annoying because we set a driver with an international drivers license as the primary driver, but then because the international license didn't have a barcode to scan, we couldn't complete the scan of the back of the drivers license, so we scanned the secondary license barcode (if someone happens to not have a US drivers license at all, they can't proceed to the next step and there's no way to contact customer service easily which is an issue also -- you should really warn people about this when they're making the reservation or not make it an option at all -- see below also). We couldn't however go back and change the headshot and front of drivers license so we had to wait for half an hour and talk with the person reviewing live (who was very helpful grateful to her). Also, originally when inputting the primary and secondary driver when making the reservation, international license was an option for the primary but not the secondary driver which made no sense, especially given what I pointed out above.
I like this location in general and their rates. The only problem I had was the process of acquiring the keys is just ridiculous. They make the process look easy with they way they explain with no in person handling and everything being done online. The process though can include calling their customer service number which is an ugly waiting event for your call to be picked. Even when I returned the car some of their customers were asking me how to get the keys since they were also getting frustrated. Other that, I'd recommend them.
The location is acceptable, staff at counter is willing to help but it's not much they can do due to the self pickup nature. I would recommend to do the pickup in a U-haul staffed location, it's worth to drive 15min more than spending 1+ hours on the apps. The self checkout process is cumbersome, if driving license photo is needed and if U-haul need to call 2 other people to confirm my reservation, it should have stated in advance and it can be done during the pre-checkin process, those things are not necessary to wait until you are in the parking lot under 90 degree, and you struggle to find out who can pick up the phone right away when phone ring.
Pick up was in a gas station office that the owner smokes in , not very clean but ok for quick pick up.
Easy drop off in big lot adjacent to the body shop. Wasn't positive where to drop the truck outside of business hours, but once you see the lot...haha
The processing of renting from uHaul is excellent and very professional. Everything is exactly as described and the instructions and photographs precisely match the vehicle being rented. I've used uHaul in the past and would use them again in the future.
When doing remote pickup, have a note explaining the key code access will be given after payment is received. I was a little confused about the process since it was my first time checking in on my phone.
