The truck we picked up had 1/8 of a tank of gas. This was annoying to have to immediately go to a gas station to fill up. And of course there is no credit when you bring it back with a half tank of gas.JAMES W.

Took over a hour to pick up the rental and the time was not adjusted. So basically lost 1 hour of my 24 hour rental, then charged a after hours service fee of $20 and was never told about the fee or why I was charged.CLIFFORD H.
I was charged an extra day and 2 gallon of gas when I only had it two days after my prior reservation was screwed up. I have time stamped photos of miles and tank level showing it was where I got it. And in the past I've returned trucks with way more fuel in them than when I picked them up and was never credited for that. It's a shame you take from someone on a low fixed income of Disability. You have messed up a few times in the last 6 months only to blame the customer and take from us. Watch out, U-haul is after the little guys money unjustly.Tim D.
My experience was horrible, primarily because I chose mobile check in. I tried both online and the app to try to process the rental, both of which had errors that delayed processing. Customer service called to say that their inability to reach an alternate contact was further delaying the process. It was Sunday, and our contact was likely in church! I expressed my frustration that if I had been in a store I would have been out the door by now. I had provided a picture of myself, a copy of the front and back of my driver's license, my date of birth and all of my contact information, but I was being held up because you couldn't reach an alternate contact! When it was decided that we could proceed, I was sent a code and instructions for retrieving the key to the vehicle. Neither my daughter nor I could find anything anywhere on the vehicle that seemed to match the description provided, or anywhere to enter a code. Having to jump through hoops for more than half an hour with no real help and no success, I requested that the reservation be canceled. After waiting a little more time on hold, waiting for a manager to approve it, it was finally canceled and we made other arrangements for help.Diane D.
The owner/worker was really rude. Almost hit me with her car. Was screaming and yelling at me. I clearly had the key to the uhaul from the lock box. She gave very poor customer service manners.Angela B.
Clerk at airport rd was slightly hostile , she kept referring that she was doing me a favor although the website couldn't complete the rental. She was very rude to my father in law when he approached regarding covid-19, I understand but she shouldn't yell at people. Otherwise the rental was pleasant.Ryan S.

This rental worked out, but your customer service line is TERRIBLE. I initially ordered a 10' truck online at uhaul.com and when I called the location to arrange pickup the location online rented the truck to me at said they had no inventory of 10' trucks. So I called your customer service and they said I would have to get it from a location literally 5-7 miles away AND PAY FOR THE EXTRA MILEAGE FOR YOUR MISTAKE. This was a 1 hour rental to move a couch and loveseat. I chose this location because it was within 1 mile of my house and 1 mile of the pickup location. Adding 10-14 miles round trip in mileage almost DOUBLED the cost of the rental, which your customer service should have waived for YOUR MISTAKE. So I declined your terrible customer service and I went to the closer location directly and worked out a cargo van that would still work, and they were GREAT. I would never deal with your TERRIBLE PHONE LINE CUSTOMER SERVICE AGAIN. You are WAY worse than Budget or Penske.Victor I.
My reservation was made and confirmed to be picked up in palo cedro. I arranged a ride so i could pick up the truck. When i got there they didnt have my truck. I was sent accross town to pick up. When i called the 800# the rep was extremely rude to me. The manager told me there is nothing she can to to help me for my waisted time and frustration. Your online reservations and 1-800 U-HAUL customer service is severely flawed and lacking. If it weren't for Maxx Mini Storage's customer service and professionalism, I would not recommend or go to U-Haul again. Thanks to Maxx Mini Storage, I will go back!!!Dana B.
