This contractor should NOT be a representative for UHAUL. The place smells of cat, they do not have working reservation equipment. They do not check the equipment out or in. They do not service any of the equipment. We were not even assigned to this unit when the reservation was made because we KNOW how awful this place is. UHAUL changed our reservation 1 day before we were to pick up our equipment and did not notify the unit or apparently check to see if they had working trucks and a reservation system that worked. UHAUL SHOULD NOT change a reservation that has been in place for 2+ weeks. The truck didn't even have a half a tank of gas in it. Where they moved our auto hauler was even worse experience. We are seeking a full refund and will be following up with UHAUL. Send a survey for that informationBradley M.

We originally were scheduled to drop off at a gas station in Coosawhatchie SC. When we arrived the cashier told us to leave it on side of bldg if we could find a space that didn't block anything. If not we would have to take it somewhere else. She said she would check us out when she got time. We wanted to be checked out when we dropped it off so we drove another 10 miles to J&M where she was friendly and checked us out immediately. I called the phone number of the person in charge of Coosawhatchie store several times to let them know what had transpired, but no answer and voice mail was full. Bad business and rude customer service.Dayne M.
Contactless pickup was not an option. Pick up was a liquor store. Place was overrun with cats. Extreme smell of urine in the building. Would not recommend this location.Shaun S.

Tell customers that if they have allergies not to go here. They had cats all over the liquor store where they rent the U-Haul. The inside of the cab was also full of cat hair and the door was full of water (it appears to be from leaving the windows down). Also, the location is really â€˜dots red dot liquor store' not J&M auto. They share the same parking lot and when I went to J&M they sent me to the liquor store.Joe B.

Property was a mess. Lady who was there was upset because she didn't want any more trailers. We told her we were sorry but we'd had it set up days in advance and showed her the paperwork. She made a few sarcastic remarks and immediately got on the phone to UHaul to complain. She said she'd check it in later when she was done with her call. We asked her to sign the paperwork proving we'd returned it on time which she did.Eileen B.

If you want a real view, send regional manager to this sight and you will be appalled! Mud holes, dirt property, backed turn in item against fence where weeds were 2 feet high! Part of building making up square we're rental units with more than 5 cats laying around! Wish I had taken pics! This place gives usual a bad name!!Robert D.

Brandy at J&M was extremely helpful. Unfortunately U-Haul's reservation system is very frustrating. The first email confirmation stated the tow dolly was available for pick up at ABC Storage in Beaufort SC. I called and was told the only dolly they had has a flat tire. After calling three times and being hung up on by the automated phone system I finally reached a gentleman who said we were on a three way call with J&M. He stated J&M was sending a text confirmation for a tow dolly at their site. Upon arriving at J&M I was told they had no tow dollies to release. U-Haul's customer service before the point of purchase leaves a bit to be desired.Keith B.
This place was the absolute worst I have ever been. The building smelled of cat urine so bad that it stung my nose and lungs, and the people were rude. My rental was not ready, the tow dolly had no lights, and they promised to have it fixed by the time my truck got loaded but they did not. They wasted my entire day trying to figure out the tow dolly situation and caused me to incur extra fees for extending my rental, when I was told it would be complimentary due to the run-around I'd gotten about the tow dolly. Not the mention the lady at the counter was extremely rude, complained about uhaul the entire time, and lectured me about how I shouldn't be using a tow dolly to transport my car because I hadn't done it before. Horrible, horrible experience.Jacob I.
The pick up and dealing with the location was good. But the main office is not. We had a refund and as usual unlike a few other companies they keep your refund for a week. Now that is wrong.David L.

The pickup location was excellent customer service. The U-Haul company gets a POOR rating. They cancelled by appointment and did not call me. I had a confirmation number and book two weeks in advance. How can a company cancel a reservation without contacting the person Bad customer service!!! I should be confiscated for my trouble.Kathy S.
