After checking in, I got a call from someone alleging that I ran over a cone in their lot. I would NEVER have intentionally driven over a cone. The cone in question was broken when I arrived. I saw two cones to the right so I went left. But even if somehow I had accidentally broken it, that did not warrant the rude and disrespectful way the man spoke to me. He called me stupid and told be to grow a brain next time. That was not a professional way to handle the situation. If there was an issued, he could have simply called to alert me and advise what the potential consequences would be. The name calling, back to back calls ( I refused to continue to be berated in such a manner and hung up so he called back), and then he text me with the same message. Not professional AT ALL! Without telling him why, I called the person who followed me to ask if I’d hit any cones, and he expressed seeing the same thing I did. I’m certain that if Mr. “Grow a Brain” actually reviewed the footage (if there even is any), he’d see that it was broken upon my arrival. Teaching some basic people skills can go a long way.
Devin MThe mobile self-pickup process should be streamlined. No complaints about the info that is needed to verify me to allow me to rent, totally understand why that's needed, but the verification process should be able to be done in advance, instead of leaving me waiting for half an hour for the phone app to cooperate and for an agent to finish checking my info. The website and the phone app are fairly slow and glitchy across multiple phones and laptops. Additionally, the trucks need maintenance. The first truck I tried to rent wouldn't even start, and the second one I got swapped to had a check engine light on by the end of the day at turn in. The customer service reps were very nice and helpful though, they were great. Overall, I don't know that I'd trust this location again if I needed to rent a moving truck.
Stephen WTruck was parked next to a row of bushes that were deep in wet leaves, which made it almost impossible to open the driver's side door to enter the vehicle, so we had to enter through the passenger door. Driver's side headlight was out, making driving in the fog and rain very dangerous. Plus, the windshield wiper blades are in horrible shape and need replacing, making driving in the rain more difficult than it should have been. BOTH issues are inexcusable!
