Could not use same debit credit card the truck was reserved with. Uhaul terminal down,, last minute truck change..reserved 20' got 26' with no explanation how to drive V10 M speed, no offer of discount dropoff in vernon..but offered discount if dropped off on Hope 3 hours away.
Both picking up and dropping off the staff were very helpful and kind.

I was very dissatisfied, after we brought the trailer back to our house we had decided to return the trailer as it wasn't the big size we were looking for, it was 1 hour from the time the paperwork was processed to when we brought it back and after we got the paperwork done to return it. We only had it for no more than half an hour off the lot and I still got charged $40!! This is ridiculous we should not of been charged anything! I'd like to get a refund for the $40 we had to pay. Hooking it up and unhooking it took the other half an hour as I only live 5 minutes from the U-Haul location.
the guy that helped me was awesome. the equipment worked, but like every u haul the lights dont work. cheap trailer to rent so all good.

Booked the trailer an hour before arrival, trailer was dug out and ready to hall away when I arrived.
Rental was booked for 4pm, I arrived 20 minutes early to fill out paper work. After paper was done it took an additional 1.5 hours to receive trailer because it was barried in snow. After I waited for 1.5 hours the uhaul representative hooked trailer to my truck. Asked me to pull forward and trailer fell off truck. The hitch assembly was not hooked correctly. (The front clamp down hitch was not loosened up before it was set on the ball of the hitch on the truck.) I picked the trailer up during the day light so I never notice whether all lights worked or not. Once night fell came. I realised I had no trailer lights at all. I checked the trailer over and came to find that part of the wire on the side of the trailer had been cut ( possibly shovelling snow off of trailer) I temporarily fixed trailer wiring.my wife called into uhaul and we were issued a refund for our rental. Now today I've received another bill from uhaul saying I owe more money from my previous rental. Today's date is monday january 27th 2020. My rental date was january 21st 2020. When I left uhaul I asked the agent about rental time because is was 530pm when I was able to leave. The agent said he would extend my time to 530pm the next day. I returned trailer at 527pm today in line for 15 minutes waiting for agent as per customers and multiple businesses being run from one gas station/restuarant/uhaul/convenience store. After my dealings with this uhaul location and over charging me because of uhaul representative not being prepared for incoming rentals. I will never rent another product from this establishment nor will I ever recommend this particular store. I am sorry for the bad review towards uhaul but the company you've chosen to represent uhaul has turned me away from your products and services. I hope uhaul takes this review as an opportunity to correct its representative. Good day.
Better training, better customer relations, gave them 3 days notice trailer was still buried in snow. The paperwork takes too long because most of the employees don't know how to do it.

Vehicle covered in snow, gas tank was 1/4 full, inappropriate tires for snow, waited over an hour for the vehicle that was snowed in, agent didn't know what he was doing, no snow brush in vehicle. Went in the next day to change to a larger vehicle, simple, right? NO!!! We were at this location for over 2.5 hours to get this vehicle because the computer system was slow and the agent was dealing with walk-in fuel customers between trying to get our new vehicle. Finally was given the truck, ready to drive away and agent asked us to wait 5 more minutes as he gave us the wrong one! 30 minutes later he couldn't resolve the issue on his computer and couldn't let us take it and the other vehicles were snowed in. We cancelled everything, and I had to ask my daughter ( who has a baby due in 2 days, and had a toddler asleep) to come pick us up. The experience was a disaster but I feel that it's not necessarily the fault of the agent but was due to VERY poor training!!!! We desperately needed this vehicle to move into our new home and completely ran out of time! Totally unacceptable from a reputable company that we have used on many occasions. Will not be renting from uhaul again.
The staff at drop off told me I should bring truck to another location despite my reservation being at their gas station and a 30+ minute drive. The other location would've been another hour + drive. On top of that, I was turning the truck in a day early and cleaned, and was not offered any kind of reimbursement. It took unexpectedly long to inspect everything and leave, close to 45 minutes.
Improve check in. Person had no clue what he was doing!!! Couldnt get computer to work, said my credit card would not work when it worked everywhere else!!! U haul should consider new agent at this location!! I will not deal with this location again!
The trailer had been sitting outside for so long it had rust in several areas and the jack did not work. It took about 20 minutes for us to figure out that it had seized, and it needed to be whacked with a hammer several times to free it up. The clerk was too busy, and the only person available in the store. This was the only car hauler available in a large area of SE BC?
Make sure your employees give out the receipts so there is paperwork in the truck..
This location only had one employee working at the time. Its a gas station/ uhaul combo. It took about 45mins to pickup the trailer, ill be going somewhere else in the future. However, trailer worked just fine and it had newer tires.
The Creston location needs to have backup on hand for emergency situations. While emergencies can't be predicted - people still need to pick-up trailers as they need as well. Since we were already coming from Calgary - we really didn't want to drive to Salmo (another 140 km round trip) to get our trailer before we could even load and return home. HUGE inconvenience!

very poor knowledge of the Uhauls policy's and completing of the forms on the computer.What was to be a quick pick up turned into over a hour of refilling out forms i had already done on line the night before after getting a reservation , with the rep refusing to photograph or scan the front and back of my drivers licencing the computer form to restrict my licence as not local. then having to find and submit multiple cell phone numbers of family and friends to satisfy that i am who i say i am . with a reservation and now multiple forms filled out for the rent of a car hauler. the amount quoted was half of what he was charging , i asked to talk to head office of uhaul but was denied . since i had wasted so much time picking it up and since we had remade the rental form ,I would not have time to return the trailer to salmo i asked it if it was possible to just leave it in creston as that is where i live,i was told there would be no problem and no extra fee. i was given only a small green slip to leave with the trailer. but refused to give me any copy of out trans action or documentation of the 74.05 i was charged on my Visa. i was told repeatedly it would be emailed to my address , .. it would have shown me the drop off requirements and any fees i would be liable for. but i could not get anything. when i went to hook to the trailer , i had brought with me several ball hitch sizes. sales person had no idea of hitch size , just that it was standard. on testing the lights only left turn light worked. we were left to fend for our selves. on his departure he instructed me to just leave the validation tag with the trailer in creston and they would know it is coming. i explained that creston was closed because of the holiday. that is why we picked the trailer up in salmo or i would have picked it up a day earlier n creston when i first inquired about renting one. but the girl at the creston desk could not verify if the 1/2 ton pickup i was going to haul would fit on the trailer. she suggested to go on line and make reservation and they would be able to tell me if it would fit. i phoned salmo office the evening before as it was getting late to drive there and pick it up at 330 pm if it was possible to change pick up time to when they opened at 9 am , i was assured , no problem.. with no documentation form them when i picked it up there was no way of telling that what i had been told was not true from the salmo office.. it would have saved a lot of time and hassle if i had taken the trailer when i first inquired from the creston office or just went to north town rental and payed the 50 dollars and rented a larger flat deck trailer. what was to be a 54 dollar rental from uhaul is now 241.22 and i still am unable to get a copy of my transaction from salmo for the rental and was charged then 74.05. it appears they have been made aware of their mistakes and the lady there will not discuss it or send me a copy as first promised.she was to busy. i would not
I feel the employees in salmo uhaul need instructions of renting a uhaul. The gentleman doing the rental has trouble with English I feel he just didn't understand enough nor couldn't answer enough due to English barriers. I give you hem credit but maybe more help from uhaul people would benefit this location. Thanks
The lady had to make a few calls to correct the fact that I returned the truck with less miles than when I rented it. She was very helpful
