This location needs a designated area for Uhaul trucks. There was not really enough space to park a 15ft truck.

This is the worst uhaul experience I had hands down! The sale man wasn't even at the location and waited 20 minutes before he arrived. He then proceeded to sell me the equipment I reserved and added additional cost outside of my reservation. This process took an additional 15 mins to get reversed and redo the contract. Once this was finally do the salesman just told me it went through and you will get an email never hooked up my equipment to my vehicle or done a function check. Says he not required to put it on your truck.....bunch of rediculous BS never again will pick up from 404 Spencers in south houston. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST.


The worst experience ever. Too long to detail here but a total mishandling of my rental causing very much delay in my trip.

The past 2 times I rented a uhaul truck, the location I chose ended up not having the truck. So I have to pick up from unknown locations. I would not recommend any specific locations because one will not be guaranteed to have the truck. Yesterday, I was not even notified of location change, the truck was not there when I arrived and had to drive further out of my way, inconveniencing me and the person giving me a ride. Also, the location I picked up truck from (404 spencer), closed at 6pm, and had no key drop off box for when I returned the truck. I was asked to leave the key under the seat and doors unlocked upon truck return. I felt very uncomfortable doing this as I would never do this to my own vehicles. Key drop boxes should be at all locations for after hours drop offs.

Change pickup location 3 times in 2 days and the truck was still not at location. No one seemed to know what they were doing. There is not another company where I am moving to I will spend close to twice as much to rent it and drive it back 130 miles so I don't have to use uhual

Can I say that this U-Haul rental has been THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! On your website, you asked what size truck I needed. When I clicked on the truck size, rental providers appear in the area I needed. I reserved the truck I needed in the location I needed. As it turns out, the whole thing is a hoax! The website offerings are completely bogus. Thinking I was ready to make my move, I go to the location where I had supposed reserved a truck only to find out that there is NO truck there. Now after spending 20 minutes at that location trying to figure out where to get a truck, I have to backtrack about 25 miles to get a truck. What is the purpose of reserving a truck at a specific location if you are NOT going to offer a truck at that location? Now I'm many miles off course and already late for my moving responsibilities. I finally get the truck, only to find that the Engine light and Oil light is on, and the AC hardly works! When I finished my move and was ready to see the truck gone from my presence, the reserved drop off location was closed. I called your customer service to change the drop off location. I filled the gas tank and headed for the new 24 hour drop off, only to find it closed WITHOUT a drop box. I called the customer service who suggest to call the emergency number on site. There was NO such number! Customer Service said to leave the truck and keep the key. I went back this morning to leave the key at 8:30 because that's what their posted hours of business indicated. No one appears until 9:00. Then to top it off, I was charged more because of the extra miles I had to travel to accommodate YOU because of not having the truck where I asked for it nor did I have the drop off where I needed it! And by the way, no one told me about the extra charges. I only realized it when I viewed the email sent by U-Haul. When can I finally rid myself of this nightmare???? At no time did anyone ask how many miles we would travel in the move so that arrangement could be made initially for paying for needed miles. Isn't there a guarantee about having the reserved truck in its reserved location? I believe it's says I get $50 back. I feel that I did everything as I was supposed to for what would be expected for a client. I feel that you did nothing to help in an already stressful moving situation. I spend lots of money and lots of time to make a stressful move easier and it turns out to be an overwhelmingly stressful experience! Very Dissatisfied Customer, Vanetta Arriaga


There was a major issue all together with my uhaul experience. My original pickup location was at Red Bluff location. I received a call the morning of the pickup confirming I was coming, but they never notified me that the truck was not at the location. I showed up to pickup my truck, and the lady informed me it was at the Spencer location. I arrive at the Spencer location and the truck is there, but no equipment that was ordered. I then have to drive to a 3rd location to pickup the equipment. All in all it took 3 locations and 3 hours of my time to get this handled. All locations were even further away from my destination then the next. It was 12 miles from picking up the truck (at the wrong location) then driving to the next location to pickup supplies and back in the other direction to pass up the original location and head to my destination. The customer service was not up to par dealing with everything remote. The employees couldn't offer any assistance or discounts and nothing was offered for my time and inconvenience.


Not necessarily the location, but the process. I understand that it was a busy weekend, but I would have preferred picking it up where I called which was much closer to my house. This caused the mileage to be a bit more.


Though my contract allowed for a return of the truck by 12:30pm, the location closes at noon. This caused a moment of concern. However, someone made a special trip to receive the vehicle. I am grateful for that effort. Again, good customer service.


Was not told it was NOT a u-haul location . Drove around forever looking for the drop off, had to call a u-haul back to get direction that it was the Goodyear place. Was very unhappy with the return of truck location. Likelly never use u-haul again for this reason .

I had a rental for 2 days.. I only used it for 1 day.. You'll still charged the 2 days.. And no refund was issue.. Still charge me for the extra 8 miles u said I used but I should have a credit for only rent for one day..it's crazy.. I should have paid for only one day since is all I used.. Clean it, put gas, returned it on time.. No credits for anything you do..

Need more moving supplies and equipments


I had no issues with this location- but getting to the point to pick up- 2013 Shaver Street pasadena tx 77502 713-475-0313 location.WAS SO RUDE to me- they did not care if I had a truck or not- the worker told me i would be lucky if I had one and that he would have his manager call me- but that never happened...Im glad that they moved me to the Good year Car care location, that manger knew how to take care of UHAUL's customers. We've been renting a truck for a week's rental for over 6 years and this year was the worse one with ARK FOOD STATION UHUAL. I'm glad that you had someone finally decide to help out one of your loyal customers- thanks to the manager at 404 Spencer Hwy location. If it goes like this next year we just might consider looing into Peske????


I did not request the insurance and was not asked about it when I was picking up the truck. On the internet I chose no I did not want it when ordering truck because I have full coverage insurance. The company did not have me sign any contract or walk around the truck for any damage inspections beforehand or even write down the mileage. I went back in and had a guy come out before I left so he could check the gas and mileage as I did not want to be overcharged. When I turned it in, I told them I did not order the insurance and was not asked if I needed it nor know that I would be charged for it. He said it was not up to him to take it off.


Recommend them to go somewhere else so that the employee will not be able to give you false information.

Recieved text to confirm order, Called, had no idea what i was talking about. Did not return call. Upon pick-up, nothing was ready, could not pull up order on computer. Did not help with tow dolly. Did not explain cost of items.


I had mileage issues, I should not have had. I was a day late returning the truck (unable to unload due to rain at the storage locker drop off location) and ended up paying twice for the truck and tow dollie. The dollie was expected to be a day late due to a van needing returned to the house. mileage was 605.4 upon return There were no unnecessary side trips I was credited 38 mi for the deadhead drive to my "REQUESTED LOCATION OF USE". I was double billed at the drop off destination point $138 & $136. Store manager said, "it's not my fault, it is the system." "Don't be angry with me." I was given a $20 Goodyear gift card. I didn't see the reasonng, when I had paid before I left and had confirmation i had paid.


Uhh.. Can you say rude? I called 2 days ahead...they said 8:30am... No problem..got there at 8:35..just flat said, "Oops, sorry... You gotta wait til 10:00am" duh...


I had to hook up the trailer to my truck without any help. The trailer was clean but it leaked water and soaked a new queen sized mattress and box springs.
