The driver just gave the keys to my husband, no paperwork or professionalism. Also we got charged for a dolly & tarps & we did not receive any. A complete bad experience. Never again!

The issue was the only person at the location was the gas attendant. He knew nothing about uhaul rental and didn’t know who to call. His boss was unresponsive

Fast and easy pick up and drop off. Used express check in. It did have a lot of steps online which does not reflect poorly at rental place itself. The express check in on my phone was a bit of a pain. Had to take pics of my license front and back, the odometer and use my location to confirm pick up and drop off, agree to some terms etc. Had to re take several pics until they could be accepted and not fuzzy (they didnt look fuzzy on my end). Just expect to take a few extra mins to complete this and there is an agent live chat while you do this so that was helpful but time consuming.

Manager was not there and conducted pick up over phone, later than my appointment. Ended up making me late for work. She had employee hand me the keys and he did not know anything about who I was or what the appointment was about. Not given a contract, so I didn't know how high to fill gas tank upon delivery.

On the phone , twice, they told me they'd be open Easter Sunday till 8 pm, their usual Sunday hours, even though it was a holiday. They weren't. It was ok because I just dropped off the truck, and I'd recommend again because location is convenient. But they could do better giving out correct info.

The person dealing with drop off Didn't know the truck had damage coming in so I was questioned if I did the damage, also for fuel I told him $60 he let the pump run till $62 because he was busy taking a final read for miles, while doing the paper work I owed $7 for going 16 miles over I didn't go anywhere besides pickup the vehicle drive to the location where the truck was being filled, drive exactly to where we were moving and drop the vehicle off, I think someone's paperwork had the wrong beginning miles on it and when I asked about the $25 for sweeping out the truck he said call uhaul

The location was wrong, we had to drive out of our way. The Truck was the wrong size. There was a huge dent on the side of the truck and there was no proof that it was there before we picked it up. The person who was in charged, was not helpful and walked away.

This was my best U-Haul experience ever. The location was convenient, the folks were courteous and prompt, and the vehicle was very clean and ready. The ease of renting from this location made the move painless and friendly. This location would be my top choice if I needed U-Haul in this area again.

The tank should start at a full level and be required to be returned full. This makes it easier for the customer. Otherwise the customer is likely to have to pay for more gas than necessary or try to calculate. (How much should I put in to get it up to 3/8?)

The representative did not know how to charge the credit card, and requested another credit card. He initially gave wrong information saying that the Van could be returned to another location 30 miles away. Then he mentioned that he was only a gas station attended and did not know the rules, as the U-Haul representative was absent. He was unable to cancel the van reservation to provide the refund when the reservation as changed from the van to the truck which could be dropped to another location. People who deal with customers should be better trained about the rules associated with various rentals in case the customer wants to make changes to the reservation.

After being told that my initial location did not have the equipment I reserved, I was asked to pick up a 15ft truck at Jay Mart. I arrived on time and was told that there were no 15ft trucks available. I then asked about other smaller trucks and they told me that they had nothing. The associate double checked and found a 10ft truck that I ended up taking. Had this backup truck not been available, all of my possessions would have been stranded at a location I no longer had a contract with. Poor customer service on the part of thenreservstion department. Would not utilize these services again.

I was overcharged for rental and evening agent couldn't help, so now I have to call tomorrow and hassle it out.

The vehicle we rented was low on oil and needed a quart before we left for a trip to Boston. The manager checked the gas but obviously never had the other fluids checked. He then made us pay him $5.(cash) for the needed oil before he would even put it in the van - something that should have been included in the cost for renting the u-haul. Why should the customer have to check and pay for oil? If we hadn't checked, the engine could have blown with such low oil on a long trip. When we returned the van, we knew we only had to return it with a half tank of gas and the manager tried to scam us by saying we needed to have a full tank of gas upon return. After showing him the paperwork, he relented. Very poor customer service, would never recommend dealing with such bad management.

The vehicle was dirty. The person that helped me rent the truck was unfamiliar with the process, and I believe I was overcharged. The fuel tank was NOT full when I got in the truck, and I did not have time to struggle to communicate any further at the pick up location. I was not given any paperwork, I was told because they did not have any paper. Instead, I was told to take a picture of one screen with my phone. Unacceptable!

The day before my rental I received a call from Uhaul that the truck I had reserved online wasn't available and I needed to get a bigger truck. I had reserved the truck at 8:30am and when I arrived at 8:30, I was told that the person who takes care of the rentals wouldn't be in until 9. Though the other person who worked there was trying to be helpful by giving us the keys before the other women arrived, we realized that we hadn't been given any kind of paperwork to have in the truck in case of accident or being pulled over. Nor did we get a receipt of the transaction. We were promised that the paperwork would be emailed but we didn't trust that it would get to us before we were suppose to be on the road. So we waited. When the person arrived at 9, she told me I still needed to pay (even though I had paid online) and that the hand truck and furniture dolly would need to be picked up somewhere else because they don't have any. I had reserved them online and there was no notification that they wouldn't be there when I picked up. They did have furniture pads, which I had reserved 12, but when the guy brought them out, he dropped them on the parking lot and walked away to help someone at the gas station side. Jay Mart is not a Uhaul center, but a gas station/convenience store that seems to do Uhaul on the side. I'm not sure if the problem was with the website or Jay Mart or both. I think it was both. I hope this helps to improve the running of this location and possibly the website. Needless to say, I will never reserve from Jay Mart again or from a non-Uhaul pick up location because they are obviously badly equip and mismanaged. I was extremely dis-satisfied with my experience and it caused a very stressful start to an already stressful moving day.
