At the time of my booking I requested to pick up in Leduc where I live and Uhaul told me I would have to pick up in Calmar. Then the day before I moved they said I could no longer pick up in Calmar I could pick up in Leduc but only after 12 noon. That didn't work for me because I needed to be moved out by 2 pm. So I had to go all the way to spruce grove in order to be able to pick up a truck for the morning. Truck was not clean. There was drywall and grass bits in the back. The cab had dirty finger nail clippings and other debris. I was doing a 24/7 mobile pickup but that location won't turn on their computer system until they arrive at work so I was not able to pick up my rental at my desired time like Uhaul claims with their 24/7 mobile pickup. My rental was also boxed in by other trucks so I had to wait for them to rearrange a bunch of trucks before I could get mine. Delaying the process further. In my order I had requested a dozen furniture blankets and they where not ready to go with my order.

The passenger door bangs constantly unless you slam it shut HARD and lock the door. The truck was also incredibly dirty. Our mattresses that had bags covering it got very dirty despite the bags.

I asked to pick up in Calmar but was told Spruce Grove was the only available place I could pick up a trailer. On leaving Calmar I noticed the same size trailer sitting in the u haul parking lot. I had to travel a extra 1.5 hours to Spruce Grove and back to Calmar and then head north again to my destination. I requested a trailer at least 2 weeks in advance.

They confirmed verbally that my rental was due back on August 15, and the rate was confirmed verbally for August 15, but when I returned the truck on August 15, the new location had no information that I was returning it on August 15, and charged me additionally.

This was the worst experience I had with renting any equipment.The office was rude hung up the phone on me several times when I called to confirm pick up.If it wasn’t for Jonathan at the edmonton location 218 St my move would not have been successful.There is definitely no customer service at the Spruce Grove location during my experience.

Overall I was not satisfied on the service I received throughout the entire process. The dispatch office called to inform me the trailer I had reserved needed to be picked up over 2hours away. Then I was charged an extra day because the second trailer reserved had to be picked up one day earlier than what wS reserved. Then when returning the trailer in Spruce Grove the location was closed and I tried over an hour to do the self checkout on yhe internet. It would not accept any of the numbers provided in the emails. The phone number for returns would only recite this site for comments and was no help at all. I did finally get in touch with a real person who was very nice and left notes all over your system that I had returned the trailer on time. Overall there were only limited positive experiences. Mainly totally unsatisfactory

Honestly it was overall a horrible experience doing the 24/7 pickup. I made the reservation on the phone a week prior and set up 24/7. I then called the morning before and confirmed my reservation and asked again if we were all setup and had verbal confirmation that everything was ready to go. When we showed up that evening it took almost two hours to get a truck. After spending a very long time on the phone it was determined that the truck hadn’t actually been setup for mobile pickup. It was initially suggested to me that I would need to “just come tomorrow when the store opens”. I was in an extreme time crunch though and needed to load the uhual that night as I was leaving first thing in the morning. The only saving grace to our experience was the lady on the phone helping us-she was excellent. However due to this being a very stressful situation when you’re already stressed about moving, I will not be recommending the 24/7 pickup to anyone.

I dropped off via on line with photo uploads and such. It was excellent. However I would recommend that the email that has the link for the drop off be more clearly stated. I had to dig into emails to figure out where and how to connect online. And the address for my drop off was not clearly indicated until I was actually submitting the form.

The agent was extremely rude and made it very hard to deal with. The agent consistently hung up the phone when we called for directions. We were not rude, but frustrated with the attitude we were receiving. I had to stop at a gas station to get directions to this location. I have never had to experience anything like this from uhaul before. Customers are extremely important and should be a priority. There was no need for this to happen. On top of it all, once we got to the location; we wanted to speak to the manager at the Progress Glass but found out it was the actual person who we had been speaking with. The spouse raised their voice and said we can go somewhere else to get a Uhaul and it was customers like us that causes them to act rudely???? My indication at this moment was "this happens to other people, I'm not the first". One more point, another customer came in to return a truck and as the agent was speaking she was mocking us and told that individual "that's what I heard from another customer, oh my god. Your never suppose to say that" How dare she even bring up religion in a conversation! In my belief oh my god is short for oh my goodness. I have my own belief so at this moment she placed her beliefs above upon us and was being judgmental. Overall the equipment was good, but the location and the service was horrible. I have been renting from uhaul; on and off since 2001 and never in my lifetime have I experienced a negative experience before.

Between the call center and the 3 different locations we had to deal with, we were triple charged and made to change our plans repeatedly. Terrible experience, and when told I would be given a refund for my trouble, you withdrew the refund amount rather than depositing it, so now I'm out that cash too. Will probably never use uhaul again.

My prescription glasses were left in the vehicle. When I phoned the Spruce Grove drop off location, the woman on the phone did not offer any help. She told me the truck has been rented out and offered no other help. When I phoned the 1-800 number, I held 37 minutes before getting through to customer service. I explained why I was calling and was put on hold again. After ten minutes, the call dropped. No one phoned me back. I had to call in again and hold another 50 minutes to get through to customer service again. It would have been much easier for customer service to call me back when the call dropped, as I don’t have a hold time! At this point my glasses in their hard shell purple case are still missing. I was told it will take 72 hours for anyone to get back to me but a service ticket has been started.

Lady at rental was good when getting the truck. We returned the truck the night before the end of our agreed rental. Due to processing error I has charged an extra day of truck rental and equipment even though everything was returned far in advanced of the contract time. I called the centre where I rented in Srpruce Grove to explain the billing error. The lady did not seem to listen and understand what the problem was and referred me to call the “Manager”. This number for the “manager” always goes to voicemail with no identifiable name to whom I am calling. I have made multiple calls for the “manager” to get back to me and there has, 2 weeks later, still been no response. I should not be overcharged for a clerical error at the rental and simply would like to be charged fairly for the use of this truck.

Worst service I have ever had! They were not helpful in the least. Tried to pay my over kilometers and they would not let me do it over the phone... they told me to call the 1800 customer service line. I was hung up on twice tried to call the collections line and they hung up on me and were closed during their business hours... luckily the uhaul on the west end of Edmonton was willing to work to help me. I will never rent another uhaul out of the spruce grove location as well as I will be telling everyone my experiences with uhaul and how unhelpful this company is! Worst experience I have ever had!
