Online app felt broken and didn’t record or confirm my booking. Multiple duplicate emails about everything. Sign out process complicated and stressful. Over charged for dolly cart. The location was fantastic and the people caring. The uhaul infrastructure was terrible and took many calls on my part. 1/5 overall experience. Will likely rent from a more streamlined rental agency next time.

I will actually be phoning tomorrow to submit a formal complaint. The process for picking up this u-haul truck at this location was horrendous. First, you canceled my original reservation at a different location (which I had specifically picked due to good reviews) at the last minute and moved it to this location. Then picking up the truck was an hour long ordeal. The truck was not parked at the actual location, but instead over away by the side of the road. The truck was unmarked and it took us forever to find it. There were no instructions or directions as to where it was. The app wasn't working properly and customer service had us on hold for 30 mins. The owner of the place refused to help us, and kept telling us to call customer service. dropping off was a similar ordeal. we were not given any instructions as to how to drop off. The location didn't even open till 2pm. We were told to move the van when we tried to park at the location. Other parking in the area would be towed. We had to park over a block away. And then we couldn't get the lockbox to work because, once again, the app was a problem. The owner refused to help us again. In the end, he finally told us that we could just drop the keys off in a mail box. AFTER AN HOUR. I would honestly like, at minimum. a partial refund since this was absolutely ridiculous, poor communication and we were late to everything by an hour each day.

They needed a better system for checking people in. Even if you pre-book and fill everything out online, you still have to take pictures of your drivers license and send them in. There debut machine didn’t work either. Once we got the keys we had to go on a scavenger hunt to find the van that was park somewhere down the road. They didn’t tell us to look for the code on the vans window. So myself and about 10 other people were running around looking for matching license plates. Once we got van everything was fine. They don’t give you a receipt either, they just tell you that they’ll charge your credit card later and you’ll find out how much it’ll cost later.

The bad part of my recent experience was not the responsibility of the location but with the "easy" phone check-in/check-out, which was frustrating. The new system does not provide for a vehicle inspection between 2 human beings and puts the onus on the customer to complete transactions outside their realm of expertise. For those not comfortable with internet access on their phones it was a nightmare and I finally had to call someone to help with checking my vehicle back in at midnight after a long day of work.

My experience was terrible. It took UHaul over 45 minutes to validate me on arrival, as it was an online pickup. The online service agent didn't appear for several minutes after I submitted my documents. The secondary verification process is also stupid and unnecessary, as it wastes a large amount of time. When I tried calling for help, UHaul transferred me to the wrong department. I had to call twice to get help. The agent told me I had to download a different browser on my iPhone. This is unacceptable, and UHaul must fix this. The agent seemed confused about the state of my reservation. During all of this, the reservation expired and the agent had to manually reset it. After that, I had to spend 15 minutes figuring out how to get into the actual truck. The pickup location had applied a padlock to the back of the truck to secure the key, which was located inside the box of the truck. The padlock was confusing to use, and I had to call for help again. The UHaul service agent was surprised that there was a padlock on the truck at all, instead of a lock box elsewhere on the property. It took over an hour for me to get into my truck. I was late for my move out, and as a result, my move in as well. This complicated my entire day and resulted in a lot of stress. Overall this was a completely clown shoes experience. I respectfully expressed frustration multiple times to multiple people. Nobody offered me any compensation or refund. Next time I move, I will be considering literally any other option.

Vehicle was received with 99 km of use, but the contract stated 80km. I’m being charged for 20 km I did not use. Called the location and the guy just hung up on me. Also having to find street parking for the vehicle in such a busy street is the worst.

The vehicle pick up location did not have WIFI connection. I was not able to upload the vehicle photos when I picked up the vehicle. The vehicle return location did not have WIFI connection. I was not able to upload the vehicle photos when I returned the vehicle. As a result, the rental location billed me more mileage than I actually used even though I have submitted photo proof that I used only 24MI instead of 37MI.
