Absolutely abysmal service. Booking was a nightmare. The website was a nightmare. My reservation got cancelled. Customer Service was atrocious. The only good part was the dealer. Absurdly pathetic. Do not use uhaul. Do not use uhaul. Do not use uhaul
Very quick and efficient service!
Worked out perfect I needed truck asap it was close to my location and was an easy transaction. A lot to do first online but like everything once it's set up it's pretty easy. Thank you will use again
Vehicle very dirty on exterior, so difficult to do pre rental check for damage. Very carefully followed instructions for rental, returned the vehicle filled exactly to 7/8 full per documents. We were charged extra for fuel even though the tank meter matched the documents. Unfair practice and very poor customer service at this location. U-Haul representative was disorganized, rude and argumentative, accused us of entering false fuel tank reading, even though we had screenshot of pre rental showing tank level. This location is a very poor representative of U-Haul, we should be refunded the $8.23 fuel surcharge, outrageous and unfair business practice.
The after hours drop off was not clear, and I don't know if I even put the keys in the right place.
Loved the new app and online pick up. Really simplified the process and much more efficient than the previous time consuming counter check in.
The most rude person on the front desk at Dunbar location. A smile does go a long way but basic courtesy is to not snap at customers when they are using u haul for the first time. This made the whole experience terrible from the start.
There wasn't anything wrong with the location and the person helping us was really great, but the system was down and wasn't processing payments. We waited 50 minutes just to process one credit card payment
I was charged $20 for fuel. it was at Â¾ not ?. I feel gouged by U-haul and will explore other rental companies going forward.
The online Uhaul experience was awful. You folks really need to get some help from strong IT professionals
Make sure the truck has a license plate on it. Clean your room. Don't yell at customers. That would be a good start.
This experienced caused me so much anxiety. I checked in and did everything I thought I was supposed to do, but when I got to the location I had to input so many things that I lost 45 minutes of my time. The owner of the store tried to help us, but it was still a waste of time. You should ask us to input all these images and proof of identity BEFORE the actual reservation. And, if you need us to use a passport as proof of our international drivers license, tell us beforehand. Had I not know, I would not have been able to use the UHaul. It honestly put me in quite a bad mood, and made me rush my move, when it should have been as relaxed as possible.
I was doing a self pickup through the app/website. If the representative hadn't been around to show me where the van was I would not have been able to find it based on the location listed in the app.
More feedback on the service overall. Why pay 59c per kilometre and then have to pay for gas? Also make that gas is paid more obvious when signing out. The only reference was that I took a picture of the gas level but I assumed that was to mitigate situations where someone rented the truck, and for whatever reason didn't use much mileage but did use gas (idling). â€œPlease refill to his levelâ€ should have been in BIG writing. Still, my original comment applies, I'm paying 59c for each kilometre so I'd expect gas to be free. The $8 I paid for 30 kilometres is ridiculous! It's 92c for a litre right now.
Single worse experience ever. The online pickup process is a joke.
The last customer who used this vehicle to take it to the City of Vancouver Transfer station to dispose of items left without paying. Upon arriving at the transfer station they notified me that I owed money and would have to pay. After a bit of brief back and forth they waived the charges since they realized I wasn't the last person driving the vehicle. Bit awkward...
The automatized rental through phone pick up is not that easy. First the guy who rented the truck before me had trouble checking out and so my rental was delayed. I found that because I booked from my computer I didn't have my Uhaul password on my phone and I had to reset the password. Then didn't know where to find the truck nor where would be the key. And at the check out, the app told me to put the key in a mail box but there wasn't any, and I didn't have the code for the truck's safe any more, because that had been communicated on line at the moment of the check in and not trough email or message I could read afterward. Hopefully the man from the shop was very helpful.

Got the insurance which was useless for roof scrapes. The additional insurance was a huge scam.
