I'm shocked. No mentions of insurance. No preinspections. Not too dirty for me, but certainly less clean than I'm used to from UHaul. No English, transaction done with less than 4 words.

Tire pressure warning light cane on while driving. We only drove it for 50 km
Agent was rude and offensive. He demanded contact information for two additional people. When I said that I had rented many times from UHaul and had never had to provide that information and asked what he needed it for he said â€œin case you steal the truck.â€ I could not believe my ears and repeated what he had just said and then he clarified â€œor crash it and run away.â€ It was extremely insulting to hear that UHaul does not trust their customers to not steal the equipment or get into an accident and run away. I provided the contact information, received the keys, and when I opened the door the seat was covered in water. I then noticed that the window had been left open and it had rained quite hard the previous few days. I guess no one bothered to properly check the vehicle after the prior renter returned it. In the end, I left UHaul insulted and with a wet rear end. This may be the last time ever rent anything from UHaul after such a terrible experience.
Great experience, highly recommend renting during location hours because the online/app process can be rather time consuming. Signing up and reserving online- yes. Actual picking up of keys-no. Tomleys Market was excellent service and they Brought the keys right out to us ! and an easy drop off. 10/10 recommend them!

The vehicles need to cleaned after every use. Not sure why this location does not wanna do it. The service wasn't good at all. The vehicle was filthy especially when it's a season when everything must be cleaned. I personally spent a good 30mins to clean the vehicle as I was disgusted by the quality provided.
I will not be using u haul again. I questioned my bill and have received no response. I spoke to Vancouver office and they stated someone would be in touch. NO call. I have rented many times with haul and the last two times was charged for coverage. I have never taken coverage and thought maybe I made a mistake. However the last rental I am positive no mistake on my part was made. As I was charged last time I made sure no coverage was on my resent bill but again was charged. Thanks but no thanks.
Customer experience is not good. I didn't order safe move (insurance) but they charged me by default . They even didn't want to correct their mistake after I had called uhaul customer service hot line and the store. The truck is not clean.
vehicles need to be clean, the windshield was very dirty inside and out. The cab smelled like 'cat pee'. It was difficult with English, perhaps it was there second language?
Staff at the market were helpful. That's a good thing, because I was expecting to do a mobile pickup and drop off, but the experience of using the mobile app is simply terrible. There are too many steps for the pickup and some of the questions are difficult to respond to when all you have with you is your phone (a picture of my passport? Really?). On drop off, the app just didn't work so I had to do the return entirely inside the store, when I was hoping that the transaction would be contactless. And, the mobile app doesn't provide a guide for estimating how much fuel is needed to top off the tank. Overall, I think that U-Haul has a bunch of work to do to achieve true self-serve rentals.
The pick up location was amazing. Very nice people ,very accommodating. HOWEVER my overall experience with U-Haul as a company was horrible. My reservation was changed from a 10 foot truck to a 26 foot truck with 24 hours' notice. I understand now this is your policy, but this was NOT made clear when I booked. I had to call U-Haul three seperate times before someone finally found a solution and an alternate truck, making me think the previous two attendants were somewhat incompetent. One of the attendants was rude and short with me. Based on this experience I will likely never again reserve a U-Haul. I have also told all my friends and co-workers about this experience.
I thought I'd try UHaul's new system of delivering trucks to local shops closer to where one lives. I created an account and used my cell phone which, according to UHaul, is supposed to cut the pick up time in half. Ha! I now understand why they encourage this, they are downloading all the work to the consumer. We found our truck, no problem. I then had to go through the hoops of the online pickup system - taking pics of my drivers license 6 times to get it "right", and a bunch of other things before going inside to the market where I had to produce my license AGAIN for another pic. When we dropped it off we had to take pics of it inside and out, the odometer etc -- work someone at Uhaul would have typically done as part of customer service. I would never do it this way again, I'll try another vendor next time.
