Truck pictures were just generic and not truck specific. The truck was dirty inside/cargo
Original contract was for $52. After we gave the truck back They charged us $12 more. When I called back, lady was unprofessional and explained the charges that we used furniture pads and a dolly. We never rented these accessories. Never. They just overcharge people after you return the truck. This what they do. I called them today and all they could day contact corporate to adjust the contract. Absolutely doesn't make any sense what corporate office has to do with this.
I have moved many times because we are a military family. I have to say that this was my absolute best experience by far. The staff was wonderful, friendly, helpful and very informative.
Tell the customer how to return the trailer how to return the stuff when no one is there at night... kinda crazy that wasn't explained when I picked up the trailer.
The windshield and side mirrors were dirty. The truck itself was clean, but the inside of the windshield was filthy
Inside of truck was nasty. Had to clean it myself before driving 1000 miles! Side mirror on passenger side was not adjusted properly and was difficult to see out of.
Was overcharged for some pads & dolly I didn't get. Left message at the uhaul and no one called me back.
Over the past two weeks I've rented a 26' and 20' plus an 6x12 trailer. I've dealt with several locations and one by calling the 800 number. Let me say, with one exception, my experience with U-Haul has been a terrible experience. Trucks available but not working, locations not having what I rented, changes of pickup, dirty trucks etc. you may ask then why do business with U-Haul? The answer, you have a monopoly on truck rental and I have no choice. It has been a disappointment this time and other times. I truly wish you had competition. I go there Now the exception. I called your 800 number and talked with Paris. I was sick of your online system. Paris was a blast of fresh air. Not only did she understand my need but actually took the initiative to find a solution. It took a while but I did not mind because of her sweet disposition and her dogged desire to find an option that would work for me. Guys, let Paris teach your people how to help your customers and I'd bet many of us would return as customers. Great job Paris. Until that happens I pray I'll never need your services again
The Oceana Self Storage location was great! However, that was the third location we were sent to after we had reserved a trailer a week in advance.
Location attendant was very helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. Rental pickup process was simple & very easy -- especially if you go thru the online check-in in advance.
Dropped of easily after hours. Had great communication from the staff -- they phoned and emailed me about the drop off. They provided the address information needed to make the drop off easy.
They changed my destination twice. Adding just enough over mileage to cause a $49 fee. The people at the offices had no control over changing it
Very professional, helpful, courteous, and friendly. They made every effort to make the transition painless.
They should add directed parking locations for after hours dropoff.

Customer service was great! The Lady offered to bring all of the equipment to the truck for me. Explanation of usage of the truck and equipment was clear and quick. When they saw I was sitting outside waiting for them to open, they greeted me and told me to come inside. Overall just a really pleasant experience, which is hard to come by these days in many places!
Trailer was definitely a problem. Surge brake kept bucking and releasing. Trailer swayed side to side horribly empty and loaded. I'm a CDL class A driver so it wasnt me or my vehicle. But it got the job done for a fairly decent price. Just hope it hasnt damaged my suburbans' suspension or sway linkage. Both pick up and drop off location girls were top notch and very friendly and professional.

Where do I begin? First of u haul didn't deliver my boxes on time so I had to readjust everything for my move. They gave me a $50 credit which was nice. I called and they said I could apply it when I check out. Of course when I go to check out and give them the code they have no idea what I'm talking about. The 2 women in the store were not knowledgeable , courteous professional or friendly. Just down right completely rude. Also they messed up my drop off location and online said some random place in Portsmoth Virginia but when I called they said it was the correct Falls church location so I don't know what happened there. And finally which was the absolute worst part is that the movers I booked through Uhaul to unload did not show up!!! They called me several times through out the week to confirm and even called me at 4pm to say they were on their way. I called and called and called and texted and NO ONE EVER RESPONDED!! so I'm sitting with a 20ft uhaul at 8 pm with no movers. Luckily I called some place that was able to send movers but I had to pay 400 for 2 people and didn't have a choice. This was without a doubt the worst experience I have ever had.
***BEWARE THE FINE PRINT!!!*** I am an intelligent man and deal with contracts everyday. $19.95 TURNED INTO OVER$300 ON MY FINAL BILL! And, they had my credit card so I couldn't even fight it. The advertised $19.95 for a van rental and the final bill came back at $300. I fulfilled my end of the bargain and brought the van back within 24 hours. Exactly what I was contractually obligated to do. This company baited and switched me! Horrible experience!
Check the condition of your equipment. The tail light and brake light were both not functioning at the time I picked the trailer up. Also the trailer brakes failed to work half way through my 1700 mile journey, which resulted in excessive wear and tear on my vehicle.
I was required to lift the trailer tongue off of my hitch ball as the other "assistant" who would have accomplished the task easily was unavailable to do the job. I asked the young lady if she had a lifting assist device for use when the "strong back" wasn't available and she said no, they cost money. They should have a method of removing and setting the tongue on the pavement... I'm an unusual 70 year old so I did it... others should not have ro.
