Nice people. I read some bad reviews, donâ€™t believe them. Definitely would use them again. I used to rent trailers from the Burlington location, which is extremely busy with little room to park or maneuver. This is a wide open gas station, easy to get in and out. And good luck to the nice woman who checked me out, sheâ€™s getting married in a few days.

The owners of the gas station were super friendly and made the process easy including the ability to the fill the gas tank at any time of day/night at their station, my car was safe while parked at their place, and the directions for return we clear and concise.

The person I spoke to on the phone said my card would not be charged until I returned the equipment nor would I be charged a deposite if I paid with card. I also requested a small dolly just in case. When I got there the man running the shop demanded that I pay a deposit. Then tried to charge my card in ADVANCE when I specially explained it was a prepaid card and would have to put money on the card when I return the equipment. He insisted on cash. When I brought the truck home, there was dolly. When I called right away to ask about it, he threw a tantrum like a child. He said I should have looked before I left and that I didn't ask for one. When I returned the equipment, a much nicer lady was getting me my change. She asked if I returned the dolly. I informed her that I never got one. She was shocked when I told her about her colleague's actions and how he handled the situation when I said I needed a dolly.

Locations and equipment was great. My biggest problem was the fact that we moved 9 months using the same size trailer for about $240, but moving back to Florida we were charged $890. That was ridiculous. But we had no other options and customer service said there was nothing they could do.

"A NIGHTMARE FROM HELL!!!!" MAINTAIN AND SERVICE YOUR VEHICLES!!!!! THE TRANSMISSION SLIPPED, CLIMB HILLS AT 30 MILES PER HOUR, REVED TO 3 TO 4000 RPM WHILE IN DRIVE ON "FLAT" ROADWAY, USED $369 IN GAS TO GO 850 MILES, (DUE TO TRANSMISSION) HAD TO STAY OVERNIGHT AT MOTEL, DUE TO LACK OF SPEED (AGAIN TRANSMISSION) & LAST BUT NOT LEAST, "THE FLIPPIN WIPERS WERE SHOT!!!!!!! SNOW AND RAIN THE WHOLE WAY!!!! 70 PER MILE INTERSTATE AND COULD ONLY DRIVE 45 TO 50 MPH!!! WE HAD TO LEAVE ON OUR HAZARD LIGHTS ON MY SUV AND THE TRUCK AS HE WAS FOLLOWING ME!!! I HAD CRUISE AND GPS WHICH SHOWED THE SPEED AND "BOTH" WERE THE SAME!!! TRUCK SPEEDOMETER SHOWED HE WAS DRIVING 60 MPH WHEN IN FACT, "HE WAS ONLY DOING 50 MPH!!!" SOOOOOOOO, HOW DO YOU "THINK" OUR U HAUL EXPERIENCE WAS????? WHEN I CALL SHORTLY TO SPEAK WITH YOUR REPRESENTATIVE, IF I DO NOT RECEIVE SOME COMPENSATION FOR THIS HORRENDOUS NIGHTMARE, I WILL GLADLY INFORM ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY ON FACEBOOK, TO "NEVER, EVER......USE, OR, RECOMMEND U HAUL!! !!!!!!~ GRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!! Reserved through Clarkston location which was verified by e-mail. Went to pick up at agreed time. No one was there. Neither was a truck. Called and found out that we had to drive two townships away to get truck. Got started on our trip nearly 1-1/2 hours late. Not happy at all . Will try Ryder next time.

The guy I worked with at the Duck Lake location was awesome. Took the time to clearly explain everything and the process, checked my trailer lights for me, hooked it up to my truck for me, etc. Great experience and excellent service, overall. My only complaint was that once I took off I had an intermittent problem with the electrical connection for the trailer lights. However, I believe this was due to the heavy rain that caused a short because once I got going it was fine again. I've been to at least 5 uhaul locations in my area, and this is the best one. They are open weird hours and days unlike a typical storage center so it makes it more convenient too.

I had a reservation 1.5 months before my move date. I received a call from your call center stating that they had to move my location 25 miles away from where I lived. At first the girl on the phone did not want to give me any type of discount, but after an hour of talking to this girl she finally gave me a discount of 45 miles free, $.40 cents a mile after that. When I went to pick up the uhaul at the location of duck lake road, I went in to get the truck and he stated I owed him over $100. so I called uhaul back and spent another hour on the phone to get the deal I was told I was going to get. I than left with the uhaul moved all my things and was done a few hours later. When I went to drop the uhaul back off, I was told that I owed anther $78 dollars for the millage at $.99 per mile. Yet again I spent some time on the phone with uhaul to get the $.40 I was told. I am very upset with uhaul. I had my reservation that was set up for 3 miles down the road from to be moved 3 days before my pick up date to 25 miles away, and than have to call 3 times to uhaul to get what I was promised. I will never use uhaul again. I don't think they should have inconvienced me and than try to make me pay for all the millage that I had to put on the vehicle. I also should not have had to call 3 times either.

First of all, I did not reserve the truck at the location stated above. The place I reserved it from was the party store on M-59, located at 9610 Highland Road, White Lake, MI 48386. Upon picking up the truck at reservation time, it was not there, nor was I provided a phone call to go to another location. The person was very, very rude when I asked why the truck was not ready per our reservation. I was on a tight schedule, wasted over one hour of time going to another place to get a truck, smaller than what I reserved. I reserved 16' they only had 14', even though UHaul told me it was 16' when I called before I came to get it. The M-59 party store was not even helpful with directing us to find another truck, except UHaul's 800#. Upon return, I was informed I could return the truck to the place on M-59 where I reserved it. I have storage at the same place and the location is closer so that would have been more convenient. My partner went into the party store and spoke with the owner to let him know we were on his premise and were unloading the truck stuff in our storage. An hour later, we went in to tab out. The owner was not prepared for us to check out, even though we said we would be there soon, and again, over another half hour or more was spent as owner could not find the reservation and more time was wasted. I made a comment that the entire reservation was a mess, and the owner of the party store and your U-Haul franchisee asked me to leave the store and never return. My partner remained in the store, trying to check out and simply return the rental truck. Another half hour went by. We decided to leave and go to the Duck Lake Market Store in White Lake 15 minutes up the road, the same location where we picked up the truck, but not the location where the truck was reserved. Chad at Duck Lake Market was very nice, and said if the owner at the M-59 party store only knew to call UHaul, the entire situation could have been resolved in 5 minutes. After working and moving an entire week, this is not the experience we wanted for renting a truck. U-Haul needs to better train your franchisees - bottom line. And to be treated so rudely was very offensive and hurtful. On top of that, I was surprised to see the 79 cent charge per mile. Is there any discount for non profits? Patty Narozny 248-684-2613

Do not offer a 6 hour rental that is the same price as a 24 hour and then charge for another day when that deadline is not met. I had to pay 2 full days rental and I didn't even have it for 24 hours.

Originally made a reservation at Jerry's rent it in commerce for a 9:00 am pick up and no one showed up to open the store. Called customer service and they gound me the trailer I needed at Duck Lake Market. The owner was great and helped me get on my way after almost a 2 hour delay because Jerry's rent it did not open. Would never go up Jerry's again but would go back to Duck Lake Market.

Outstanding experience. I had hired movers that did a no show. within 20 minutes on the phone I had a reservation and the truck keys in my hand. The owner at the store was outstanding. I would recommend to anyone I know. THANK YOU!!

The Area Supervisor (Mark) was very rude. Duck Lake Market was extremely kind and professional to work with. I just wish corporate UHAUL (Mark) would not use discriminating/ bullying tactics when trying to resolve an issue that was never an issue except in his head. And for the Record Mark- I'm perfectly capable of paying for the service's rendered.

UHaul attendant needs to be much more professional. Was helping us with the Uhaul and had to stop twice to wait on customers (6 different transactions). Perhaps another attendant is needed on busy summer Saturdays? Attendant was not happy about being reminded we were in line first - more professional attitude needed.
