The self-check in process did not work well. the page kept timing out. I had to call customer service and wait on the line to have the starting mileage recorded. It was not obvious whether the van needed diesel or gasoline. As a part of the check-in process, please advise the customer of fuel needs. A simple sticker near the fuel tank would do the trick.

The truck the automated system reserved had a flat. The owner operator gave us a different truck right away and handled the paperwork for us. There was no hold up. He was very nice and accommodating.

Nobody was wearing a mask or social distancing, even after I asked the rental agent to do so. The place was filthy, especially the counter where I had to place my license so it could be photographed and uploaded to verify my identity. The truck was filthy inside and had not been cleaned at all. The employee who "helped" me was rude and nasty. The police swarmed into the parking lot (with guns drawn) to drag somebody out of a car and arrest him. Other than that... If this is how U-Haul screens it's agents, I won't be going back. There are plenty of other truck rental companies that won't feel like my health endangered.

Key drop off signage would’ve been better than being rudely shunned to the area. If your customer service is trash, no need to add services like Uhaul to your establishment.

I paid for a truck with the gas gauge light on. I had to fill up to go pick up the furniture. Of couse the pick up location was a gas station.

I requested one of the newer higher cargo vans and I was assured one would be there. It wasn’t. The standard cargo van was rented, it worked, but the lack of height made loading and securing the contents more difficult.

The iphone app did not work when I attempted to drop off. It kept locking up and would not let me continue. It appears full of bugs. I left the keys with the attendant who said he would take care of it. He did not check it in that day and so I called customer service twice fearful that I would be charged extra. Customer service was useless and told me that I could "hope that I don't get charged extra" and if I do I can spend another 30 minutes of my time calling to dispute the extra charges. Poor experience overall.

I was rushed to return the unit before I even picked it up. The unit had animal hair all over the seats and bothered my allergies. The clerk could have been more professional. This was not a happy experience.
