Customer service is great. The system being used to check in seemed like its out of date and extremely slow. I would recommend updating check in system. I would also like to purchase one of your used car trailers before it is retired. is this possible and how do I do it? thanks

We originally reserved a trailer at the 1st street location in Yakima and it was not there when we arrived and the customer service at that location was terrible. The attendant told me there were no trailers available for 100 miles and really didn't seem to care. Wondering if he even checked so I called the 1-800 number they found us a trailer a mile away which is the Nob Hill location. The Nob Hill workers were awesome so helpful and easy to work with, had us on the road right away. Amazing how different the customer service was from one location to the next. We will take all our business and recommend the Nob Hill location.

The U-Haul site on Nob Hill in Yakima was very helpful. Pat the yard technician was very polite and helpful. He walked me through step by step on how to hook up the trailer and gave me some pointers made me feel better

The guy who helped out made everything 10000x worse. The truck I ordered wasnâ€™t there so thankfully we got a free upgrade but the computers were down. I work retail I understand that but donâ€™t ruin the customerâ€™s day just politely tell us whatâ€™s going on. Donâ€™t freak out on us.

Solo que la siguiente ves que le den un beiculo al cliente se fijen la cantidad correcta de combustible que tiene al entregarselo. Me diero el papel que tenia 1/2 tank.. Y tenia casi el 1/4 . bueno lo tube que regresar con 1/2 tank

I rented a 15 foot truck. The truck was very nice and drove well but did not have cruise control. That would have made the trip much more pleasurable. Other than that, everything was great.

As noted above, I had a positive experience reserving and renting the equipment and the staff that worked with me when I picked up the equipment. The issue I have is that in the process of checking the truck and trailer in, my son (who was in our 2015 Toyota Sienna van) was approached by a man and was questioned as to why he was there. My son responded by telling him I was checking in the rentals and pointed to me (no one else was around at the time). The man then informed my son that he was the manager's husband and was checking to make sure my son was not a person who was homeless. He then told him that they have been having problems with 'bums' and just wanted to make sure he was on the property legally. He then shared this information with me after the check in and was not able to talk to the man because he had left the scene. I called Cassandra Franklin, the manager at the Yakima WA location on 2304 E. Nob Hill and attempted to explain my concerns which were (1) that my son should not have been approached by a non-employee (her husband which she admitted that he is NOT employed by U-Haul and did not present any form of identification) as to the legality of his presence on a business related transaction (checking in rental equipment) (2) that her husband should have had a conversation with me, the customer, if he had any questions or concerns (3) that his assumption that anyone on the property might be a homeless person. To my surprise Mrs. Franklin's response to my concerns were met with condensation and rudeness. She did not allow me to complete my conversations defending her husband's actions by informing me about the problems the business has been having with intruders, damaged and stolen property, and homeless people (too much information for me, I just wanted to share my son's experience with her). She apologized by telling that it was too bad my son felt (violated) the way he did did and then went on to defend her husband's behavior by telling me that her husband was just checking people "hanging" out on the property and again telling me circumstances surrounding the homeless issue. When I shared with her that it did not appear she was listening to my concerns, she cut my conversation and raised her voice. When I asked her for a corporate phone number she rattled the number off where I did not understand it and asked for it again. At this point she stated she did not care if I contacted the corporate office and that I just needed to "get over it" and then discontinued our conversation by hanging up the phone.
