Customer service at the location was great with O'Neal and loved the after hour drop off being we went a little overtime due to NYC traffic. But the truck itself wasn't working properly with the fuel Guage and also felt as if the transmission wasn't shifting gears properly.
Ryan OneillI can't think of anything you could improve for the next customer. The wonderful man who was working the end of the night on Wednesday (9/13) went absolutely above and beyond to allow me to pick up my rental even though I was running late and missed my original pickup time. I think his name was Vaughn (or something that sounded similar). Thanks to him I was still able to pick up the rental and use it to haul home a crucial piece of furniture. I could not have been more relieved and impressed by his help.
MARIANNA ROSE TESSELLOThe guy at the front office has serious issues, made us extremely uncomfortable. He was cursing, talking badly about his job and UHaul, and acted like it's our fault. He yelled at us saying we made an online reservation and we didn't need him, and then he put a CLOSED sign at the door. We almost left because he scared us. Ridiculous and unacceptable.

Mike DeringerI booked a van pickup at 6 am days in advance, no issues at time of booking but then my reservation was switched to 9 am just hours before my pickup time because this location does not support Mobile check in. No one reached out to me to call out the change or explain the limitation. The employee at this location was super helpful but I did have to wait around until it opened. I almost missed my appointment that I needed the rental for. The system should not have allowed the mobile pickup booking in the first place
agnes sowulthe vehicle I was offered had no side mirror. When I went to talk to the attendant for a replacement, he obviously has no idea about the condition of the vehicle prior to giving me the keys. The pickup office was also mess. It's hard to believe it was in this condition for any customer to experience. And The U-Haul vans all up and down flushing were covered in graffiti and not well maintained. How can you rent vans like this to your customers? This was by far the worst U-Haul location I've ever been to. I would not recommend this location. 1 star. FYI - The staff guy working was fine and helpful - he probably didn't realize the broken truck he at first gave me. But maybe two people should be working the front.

Mariel AdamesReturning the vehicle was extremely difficult. There is no central yard, and customers have to find street parking on their own. Very little guidance is given for this process. Also, the staff were out of the office at 2:30 in the afternoon for "lunch" which meant that I had to use the after hours online check-in process. This is not a simple process. The photo process is particularly tricky, and it was pure luck that I went through the online process before dropping the keys in the box. This location, with staff who close the office during business hours, is best for advanced users who are already familiar with the neighborhood, and the online check-in process.

It was extremely difficult to find a parking place, Difficult to load the necessary app Took forever to navigate website, and post required pics. Got charged an extra hour as a result The customers that were helped, before me, as I was picking up the truck, reported being threatened when they parked their truck. NOT SAFE.
Jacob MacMillanOn your website, I was allowed to book my truck pick up at 7am. When I got to the site, they didn't open till 8am. Really wish if your website and stores aligned with time. Thinking I was able to start at 7am, I hired mover workers at 7:30 and wasn't able to start till 8:30.

Ben Raymondthe only reason why I’m rating it one less than 5 stars is bc i had to return my rental (from bushwick to west harlem) to bushwick instead of dropping it off at a closer nyc u-haul location. other than that the attendee was calm, helpful & answered all questions respectfully. parking the rental may be a little tricky at night but that’s anywhere in brooklyn honestly.

What I would like to see an improvement is for this location to have a permanent dedicated lot for all their vehicles . That would make picking up and returning faster and easier and not to mentioned meticulously organized .
Jonathan DewThe U-Haul truck that I rented had a bad odor. There wasn't anyone at the physical location and I had to call to get a rep. I ordered a hand truck with the U-Haul and my location didn't have any. Overall bad experience.

Manuel SotoMy UHAUL specifically had CRAZY leaking going on in the roof, I actually had water leak ALL over all my things inside the cargo van. Everything was wonderful EXCEPT for that which was a big deal. It would be nice to have some of my money returned.

Luis PayeroThe cab of the truck was filthy. We cleaned it with spray and paper towels and our paper towels were black. When checking out I checked the box that says the truck needs to be cleaned and I was charged $25 cleaning fee! The truck was filthy when we got it, it was a completely unfair charge.
