The windshield wipers were not checked, and it was not until I was about 14 hours into my 26 hour drive that I realized that. It was pretty dangerous. Those need to be checked after every drop off.

Josu AmuchasteguiThe check in person was rude and unhelpful. The checkin process was also antiquated. The check in person couldn't use the computer check in device, and once again it took a very long time to check in. U haul seems to still be operating in the '80s.
Mark CarinopParking is located in a shopping center; tight areas to park a 26 ft truck for an amateur. Some personnel were confused on the check-in role and caused some confusion: I spent 15 minutes on the phone with U-haul C.S. that assured me that I was to use a smart-phone app (don't have smartphone), or the return location was to check me in and U-haul would not check me in by phone. Not the best of Customer Service. I returned to Ace Hardware and they completed the check in process.

Liz lindsayAllow "before" pictures of the gas. I picked it up just under 3/4 tank, but paperwork and app insisted on 7/8 tank, and only allowed after pictures. This doubled the price I paid for gas refueling.

Timothy JohnsonThe location was fine.. The truck was not. The truck itself was in poor condition physically & in the 20 total miles I drove it used 5 gallons of gas. Load was very light as the truck was just used to pickup 4 appliances 10 miles away & bring them home. The Tow/Haul was stuck on & the truck was not shifting until 4-5 thousand RPM's & it had a shake at 55mph.
Corey LambIt took me over two hours in an extremely stressful situation to get confirmation that I could extend my rental another day. The truck had not been properly checked it with the prior customer. There were furniture blankets loose in the back, furniture dolly unsecured rolling in the back, none of which I had ordered. The light on dash said check gas cap. I did… seemed secure. Let staff know upon return.
Colette BrownThis review is for the customer service associate who called me on June 21 to tell me that we had to pick up the truck 24 miles from where we were. She argued that it was only 7 or 8 miles. I tried telling her that wasn't true and she said she gave us an extra 10 miles. Well 10 miles extra isn't anything when we had to drive 24 miles to get the truck 24 miles back to where we were loading the truck. This has nothing to do with Ace Hardware but everything to do with the associate who called and changed pick up location.

Manuel VelaOverall things were great the only complaint would be the price. At other UHaul places it was half the price plus we wouldn't be charged for mileage. I believe this is because it was a round trip rental, we couldn't leave it a another UHaul place where we were moving. On a positive note this place was easy to deal with and no hitches along the way. If we were to go through UHaul in Boise we would have had to pick up a smaller truck than we wanted and we're expected to travel over 2 hours to pick it up ourselves. Not a good way to do business.

Kevin GouldThe trucks have no warning anywhere about the floors being slippery or slick when wet, the state of Idaho is very wet during the winter and when we were moving our fridge the floor was so slick in the truck that not only did the fridge fall but, it fell on my husband and injured him, he was not able to complete our move afterwards and was in severe pain all night and the next day.

I had to improvise and it delayed me and caused unnecessary labor and parts in my behalf. Obviously, no one had inspected it from previous user nor prior to my arrival for pickup

The pictures on the website for reviewal of the vehicle were a little small because the truck I got was so big. Not sure if anything could even be done about that.

The rental agreement was illegible because the printer was out of ink so I had no idea that the trailer was due back by noon. I thought I could return it any time on the return date. I was charged an extra $20 for it being late when I didn't even know when it was due. The person who helped me however was very kind.

We got a different one and he said he was going to update it in the system. He never did so Moscow wasn't sure if they were going to take it. He was also going to change the deliver time to 3 and that too was not changed. Very nice and a "yes" man, but didn't follow through.

Pete NiemiecWe had issues at both pickup and drop off. I first made an online reservation and it said "reservation not found" even though I had the confirmation e-mail. Then upon pickup the clerk attempted to charge greater than the quote even though we drove fewer miles than estimated. It eventually was worked out but took a very long time and was very frustrating.
Gary SchullerCheck engine light came on. When called a 6 minute survey interrupted call to a person to get the situation reported. Also the trip was unable to be altered because when called we were on hold 20 minutes and once connected the call was dropped not once but twice.
paul vinciI went to rent a trailer on a whim and saw one in the ace hardware parking lot. I ran in to rent it and the gentleman (Bob) "checked the computer" and said it was reserved and that should go online to find one. I went out to my car, got on the app (which would not work right) and then called the number. I was told there was one available at ace, so I reserved it. I then went back into the store to get the trailer. Bob was "having issues with the computer" and even asked if he could go show another customer where something was (the other associate did not know where to find it) and left me standing there (he did say, "you don't mind if I show her where this is really quick?". Finally, 20 minutes later I was able to go hook up the trailer and be on my way. I understand that sometimes there are computer issues, but I felt I was being blown off (that is why I got on the app and called before even leaving the parking lot) It was not a very pleasant experience and I had all I could do to stay calm and not just walk away.
