Keith HThe rental price was a lot higher in person than what was quoted and locked in on the website. Even after showing the price from a email,the representative would not honor the price. I had no choice because I needed the trailer and payed the higher price.

Scott EI placed a reservation for a 15 foot truck for my move and it was to be picked up from Affordable Auto in Clayton, NC. I get there and they are closed so I call. The gentleman who answered was very rude and told me he wouldnt be back till Monday and to call Uhaul. So I did, a very nice lady directed me toward the lock boxes. We went 0-3 for the pass codes to acces the keys. Our 4th option was on the truck and it worked. Problem was it was a 26 footer, not a 15. I choose the 15 so I could get it into my new town homes driveway and back up to the garage. However, I had no choice as it was the only one that would work. Long story short, the trucks steering wheel shook as you drove it, the door kept getting stuck, we had to park 30 yards away adding 4 hours more work as opposed to backing up to the garage and had to spend more money b/c it got less gas millage. Overall a bad experience. Rude owner of the shop, shaky truck, longer packing and unpacking and more money. I will definitely never go to Affordable Auto again and will try all other options to steer clear of Uhaul. You made a stressful day worse and cost me time and money. I expected better service.

William SHave a backup plan for when your whole system goes down and no one can get on to check out their customers, who obviously went up head and rented the truck or trailer way ahead of time for that day and time for a reason. We even went on line for check in which at that time you already have my license and credit card so if something like this happens again which with technology it will to have a paper check out at pickup day and time so your customers can get on with their business for why they checked it out in the first place. Instead of waiting an entire day waiting for your system to come back up.

Maureen HThe Affordable Auto U-Haul location is my preferred location. I have many to choose from around me, but they are by far superior. Super fast check out in person. Easy to talk to and work with.
Maureen HVery dark after hours, not enough lighting. My husband tripped and fell over a hitch and hit his head!
William LWhen returning a trailer after business hours there is no indication how and where to park the trailer. The lot is a paved slope. If you drop the trailer in just any open spot it wants to roll down the hill. Face the trailer in just any direction it wants to roll down the hill. Search for wheel blocks to go behind the tires snd while looking the trailer rolls down the hill. Parking spots parallel to the hill are all full of crowed in trailers. Only one light in the lot. It's safer to leave the trailer in the middle of the parking lot, blocking all trucks and other trailers, than to attempt to be a good citizen. Otherwise, the trailer will just roll down the hill.
