James H.Absolute worst U-haul experience I've ever had at 4457 Kernel Circle Fort Myers.. No one was there for my in person pick up, no truck. Waited over an hour to get sent all the way to Bonita. Then the app wouldn't work. Bad bad bad.
Ryan B.This is the second time I have left a trailer at this location. No one there and the place looking inside the front door would lend someone to think it was abandoned. The first time a few years ago I left a trailer there and was charged an additional fee for "after hours drop off." When no one is ever there how can you be charged for after hours. I'm sure they stop by at least once a day. I much prefer the UHaul locations that do UHaul and nothing else. The best in this area of SW Florida from my multiple rentals is the one on 41 Highway next to Page Field in south Ft. Myers.

David C.Rental experience during this latest rental with Uhual was very challenging. First, requested and confirmed location of pickup had changed sometime prior to me arriving for my 10am rental. Second, location I ended up having to go to was not staffed and so I had to go through a 20 min process of verification via chat. Third, tried requesting that my drop of location be updated to the initial Uhual location and was told that it wasn't an option and if I did, I would be charged $600. Local agent did not seem to care that I had to adjust so much just to get rental and no effort on Uhaul's part to be accommodating.
Seneca H.This location notified me that they Did not receive rented trailers. I was sent there with my information clearly stating I had rented both a truck and a car carrier. I had to detach and unload this trailer alone, again, when I was told that I would have an employee disconnect the trailer. The woman on site was very pleasant and tried her best to guide me. She had no idea I'd be arriving with a trailer because as she stated they do not accept them there. This whole experience will keep me from ever using U-Haul again and I will advise anyone who needs a rental to go elsewhere.

John A.The A?C in the rental Uhaul did not work. When I tokd the ugaul agent I was told I needed toc all the "Road Assistant" customer service number. I had to drive this uHaul from West Coast FL to Maryland plus did a load-share to Myrtle Beach last weekend through east coast storm with NO AC in the Uhaul.

John D.Just had trouble with confirmation on website. But everything worked out very well and was so smooth. Thank you to Palm Harbor location for helping so much, especially Rachel. The Bonita Springs pick up location was very helpful. We are so grateful that they kept the truck and called me even when our son was late in picking up the truck. The reservation sent him to another location in North Naples when he tried to confirm. That was still a puzzlement.

Thomas W.The “Change Oil†warning light was on the entire time. Then the low oil indicator light came on and a repeating beep sounded every second. I bought oil and added it. No indication of any fuel charge was offered until I returned the truck then I was charged $39 for gas even though I drove less than 50 miles…on top of $/mile charges.
David V.The dashboard lights were inoperable. It was difficult to read or take a photo of the mileage because it was replaced by Oil Change Due message just 2 seconds after starting vehicle.

Steven B.We had a terrible experience the store we originally rented from in Naples closed 20 minutes early even though we had spoken to them on the phone. We then had to drive 45 minutes away to get a truck In the middle of the night. The truck was dirty and low on fuel and the check engine light was on. We had to spend hours on the telephone with uhaul. Our experience was awful during a disaster we just had in Florida.
John I.The trailer hitch and tongue were rusted and needed lubrication. Both trailer tires were nearly bald (worn) at the center and the trailer leaked during a light rain.

Luckingson P.Trailer had no lights causing me to get pulled over by the police. Location was closed and could not get a replacement so I was unable to use the equipment. I was still charged for the equipment that I could not use even after notifying the dealer of the trailer being out of service.

Laura K.Very unattractive location. Bad roads leading to it and buildings in disrepair. No one there to help. Said they were working remotely. After three phone calls someone shows up. Tells me to just back the trailer into a spot, unhitch it and leave it there. She then leaves. Another customer was there and could not get her trailer unhitched. Uhaul rep said she couldn't help. I tried to help her and the trailer would not separate from the ball on her hitch. You then called AAA to come and help her .... I'm not sure I would want them representing my company.
MICHAEL H.At the location the drop off box is not a box and has no instructions on how to leave a key, unlike other locations have actual boxes for the key. We were charged 2 days extra for nothing because it was Sat and Sun and they called us on Sunday to say they will charge for 2 extra days which we tried all the means to find out WHERE to put the key! Awful experience!

William D.Vehicle was a nightmare to pick up, none of my rented equipment (dolly or furniture pads) was provided, and the location was closed when I went to drop the vehicle off at 2:00 pm EST on 8/30. I tried calling the 800 number for uhaul a lot and couldn't connect with anyone until I finally got an email around 2 in the morning (I picked my truck up at 8:00 pm EST on 8/29). Carrie informed me that she made notes in the system regarding my issues and that I was to speak to the location about missing rental items at drop-off. The location was closed 8/30 when I went to drop the truck off. I even went 6 hours prior to my drop-off time to ensure someone would be there, and of course, no one was there because the location was closed. I am very dissatisfied as this is my third issue with uhaul. First was getting a trailer hitch installed to my vehicle, then renting a 6' X 12' tow-behind last year, and now this experience. I really do not think I will ever use this service again, even if I have to pay double for others, the level of quality and customer service provided by this company is horrendous, DO NOT USE UHAUL!!
Brett C.Be aware that after days of loading and unloading, the last thing a customer wants to do is to be forced to use their phone to avoid yet another charge. As I was stumbling through the ciber convenience for the owner there was no live person to assist me. It seem as if “working from home†has become confused with just “getting paid from home†with little or no concern for the person who is really paying the bills. Never again from your location even after COVID. Too much lack of customer service.

We had a difficult time getting to the trailer we were supposed to take, and then we had a difficult time getting out because of other stuff parked in the way at this storage unit facility. The manager was nice and she helped us, but it took almost an hour to get out of there.
Joseph P.There was no one to help me for hours. I couldn't find a place to drop off that was actually a drop off place, other than a 30 mile round trip? By the time i finally got to drop it off I was hysterical ' my 1 year old was crying and my daughter was late to work, as was I. It took forever to get anyone on the phone , then it took forever for them to actually help. Not happy

Eillen S.We returned the truck on a day they were closed so we didn't talk to anyone but wish we could have. The truck was in pretty bad driving condition. Steering was very wobbly and it was hard to keep it on the highway. The cab leaked when it rained. We found broken glass and old fast food bags under the passenger seat when we were loading the truck. We are very dissatisfied with the condition of the truck that we had to travel 1200 miles in. I would not recommend UHaul trucks to anyone.

I was asked to take the truck to a different location about 17 miles further south than where I was going as a favor for UHaul. But I had no I idea the location would not have anyone attending it. This was a bit problematic since I could not talk to anyone about the stuff with the truck.
