TERRY HThe only available vehicle was turned in after hours the night before and the prior renter had not turned in the key. The vehicle was not cleaned, inspected or checked for maintenance issues prior to being rented to me. I started to hear an exhaust leak shortly after departing from the U-Haul dealer. Had I realized the extent of the issue, I may have returned. I only had 64 miles to travel that day to a hotel, so continued on. By the time I got to the hotel the exhaust leak was severe. Upon inspection, two of the three bolts holding the Cat flange to the exhaust were missing and the third was very loose. I was able to source new bolts, washers and nuts locally and repair the vehicle myself to allow me to continue on. There were very few services in the small Utah town of Hanksville that I was stopped in. It would have been an improvement if the vehicle was cleaned, inspected and test driven prior to being rented again.
ERIC VWe dropped off the trailer when the business was closed. The lot is across the street from the auto parts store and is a large lot with U-haul trucks and trailers. Plenty of room to back in the trailer.
TREVOR FWas told I did not qualify to decline insurance coverage, was not asked what level insurance to select, encourage this location to allow customers to select their own options as well as not pry into reasoning for rental.

MICHAEL CWe arrived Saturday at about 1:00 pm and found the drop off location closed at noon. There were no instructions where to leave our trailer. We had to guess where to leave the trailer, we opted to leave it across the street with the other trailers rather than on main street in front of the store. The gravel in the lot was so thick it was difficult to maneuver. The telephone signal was weak and intermittent so it was difficult to fill in the forms online which kept timing out.

I am always charged more because of going over the mileage from point a to b. Fix this. I only stop for gas and go to my location and drop off point. Give me additional miles so I can not have this additional hassle.

Mary ATruck Was Leaking Oil, About 20 miles into Trip The Windshield Rubber Came Out And Started Banging On Drivers Door. Then Broke Off Soon After.. The A/C Didn't Work and it was 108 Degrees Where I Moved. The Truck Shimmied Alot And Could Not Break 60 Miles a Hour. the drivers Door had a Gap You Could Put Fingers Through So It Whistled For Over 200 Miles (Headache) Worst Truck Ive Ever Rented in 25 Years :( Id Ask For A Refund If I thought I Could Get It..

CHRIS NMake sure the truck that is reserved is available. The "special offer" to let me have a 14' and a trailer instead of the 26" I had reserved was totally inadequate. I paid the same price for about 1100 cu.ft. as I would have for about 1700 cu.ft. We will now have to rent another truck to get the rest of our things moved. I understand that this is not the fault of the dealer but is controlled by U-Haul.
