Michael WAs you need to refill gas to where the truck was when you picked it up, maybe come up with a better way of more accurate estimate for refill…. I ended up putting way over what was started with. My mistake, U-Haul's benefit!!
Stuart AHave requested items (dolly) available; have posted or on paper exorbitant charge if “you should inconvenience” the storage customers when returning vehicles after hours- I believe the rep said $500.
Sonia MWhen I made the reservation, I was not informed that this location was not going to be open. I arrived to pick up the truck at 10:00 am and found other customers waiting outside the building as well. Many of them left out of frustration. Thankfully, I spoke with 2 wonderful, helpful customer service agents at the 800 # who walked me through the online pickup process. Again, if this would have been mentioned to me prior to arriving I would have been better prepared. (I did get an email explaining the pick up procedures but it was 20 mins after my 10:00 original pick up time. The process of uploading all of the necessary documents in order to secure the truck via the online pickup caused us to be late starting our day. The online process for picking up and dropping off the truck were convenient, I just think that better up front communication from the store would have made this experience less stressful.

Hazel RThe truck was very dirty, had an inaccurate gas gauge leading to extra charges, the truck overall was in poor working condition. The staff did not tell us they had no appliance dolly (which we reserved in advance) until we had already paid and gone to the truck. Their solution was to tell us to go to another location (we were paying per mile for an in-town rental truck). The staff had us scan our own license and mileage and bring back in the furniture pads to stack up in their display despite doing an in-person counter pick up/drop off and not the self-return on the app.
Wayne PReserving a truck online was easy. Once I got to the location, the big guy behind the counter was not very helpful. Spoke in barely audible voice, didn't make eye contact. Same when I returned the truck later. If you're dealing with the public at least try to communicate and make customers feel that you appreciate their business.

Trevor MI went to drop off the truck early around 1 or so on Friday, a day before the truck had to be back and there was no one in the office. At least have one person in the office to receive the vehicles and interact with customers.

Stephen NBest experience ever with a U-Haul rental. The van drove great. There was leg room. The seat went back. Van smelled O.K. It seemed to be maintained. Air was really cold. Service was good. Only issue was that my pick up location was changed, but it was not that big a deal.
TIMOTHY CPick up was nice and smooth but lady that was there upon returning the truck was very rude and had no people or customer service skills.

I reached submitted my concerns and a representative reached back out to me and although I missed the call he left a message regarding my issue. I am very satisfied with this location and their professional.

I'm glad that there are still businesses that put customers first and this location does just that. I was not expecting such great customer service. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I can't say enough good things about this manager.

Ophelia WSame as the pickup experience. I had to call an agent for help due to an error on Uhaul's part.
Lisa GI was overcharged. When I contacted Uhaul about it, I got no reply. Will never use your services again without receiving a proper resolution to my complaint!

Latia RThe first truck (larger) smelled so bad that it was unusable. It smelled like a load of fish had been left in it for days! We had to trade for a smaller truck and make more trips than intended. I was still charged the same rate. I should have gotten a discount for the inconvenience and the size difference.

Jessica WWhen I got the truck the gas was in between a half of a tank and the line to the left of the half tank line and The headlight was out . But the correct gas amount wasn't noted on the paperwork.
Carmen KBox truck had cracked passenger side mirror. I wasn't charged and it was fine with a bit of clear tape, but this is an example of a critical spare part that could make the vehicle unsafe to operate. What if the glass had finally fallen out midway through my trip? In the Mil they call this kind of thing a "deadline fault" --even if everything else is working, under normal conditions you cannot use the vehicle. If the fleet is common, it might be a good idea to have a couple spare side mirrors in storage to fix on the spot. This is a small cost compared to missing a reservation, or potential liability, IMO. Anyway customer service was fine, just wanted to point that out.

Tanya PYou need to work on your truck to be in good condition, The truck giving to me on 8/20/2022 around 9am didn't start two times. When i called in the person in charge said that is the truck i paid for and the only way is to Jump start it. Very bad experience. To improve check all trucks in the morning before customer pick it up.

Wanda LI do not like the new way at all. I made my reservation a month and several weeks ahead of time and when I got there they did not have a truck available I had to get a truck larger than what I asked for the truck did not have the gas right it was on empty but on the paperwork it says at 3/4 of a tank and that was a lie so we change that now I'm done with the mileage they trying to say I went over 62 miles and I did not I went straight to Concord North Carolina I had to get a hotel to stay overnight because the facility was not open on Dale Enhartt exit at the Hampton Inn which is 7 miles away from the U-Haul Facility Concord Parkway South Highway 29 I turn the truck in on time the day I supposed to turn in they try to charge me and try to say I turned a truck in a day late I called and reported that was wrong now they're trying to get me with mileage on a diameter Wichita monitors wrong I didn't get a chance to take a picture of the mileage but I know I didn't do no more than 256 miles I did not go over 362 how do even touch 300 miles this just been a bad experience with U-Haul in the process of my reservation take me to cancel my reservation without my permission and I didn't know anything about it I will not recommend U-Haul for any services I am totally disappointed I am a disabled veteran I do appreciate the discount but they never been this sloppy I like how things were three years ago everything was on point. I had a customer service rep to email the manager at the site in Concord I text him a text him I never got a reply back I think that's wrong about selling in this situation about the mileage I finally got somebody at the desk she let him know about the situation he said he's gonna give me a call back that was yesterday Thursday 08/11/22 today is Friday still no phone call.

Susan WAbsolutely no gas in the vehicle. Filled it up and lost $100 in gas due to no reimbursement. Employee said they don't check for gas and obviously they don't check the vehicle at all. This truck was filthy and had to leave the windows down due to the smell of weed. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!

Jonathan HHad to pay for a larger truck that I did not reserve. The truck I reserved was not available and I was told that I would have call another location to reserve the truck size I originally wanted. Please fix this for future customers.
Aaron MThe Rep did not do a walk around with me as the customer, also the vehicle was rented to a previous customer and the fuel was not at the mark where the rep says it was. I tried to call numerous times and they refused to answer the phone, customer service is atrocious.
Matt CMade an online reservation with a furniture dolly and when arrived at 9 am they explained their location wasn't a Uhaul location and sent me to another location where I had to wait 30 minutes to rent the furniture dolly. I did not get started moving until almost 11:30 am which caused my move not to be complete until after 5 pm and return the truck until 5:30 pm. The staff at Champion decided to charge me for two days which was not fault. The original anticipated invoice was $12 dollars and some cents but my final invoice was $61.24.
