Antonio DWe had a great experience when we rented a U-Haul in December. This time was an absolute nightmare. We booked the 20' truck to move our things a short distance from where we were storing our things to our new apartment. My husband received a call from U-Haul saying we could save money by picking up in another location and that we would have the same truck. When he arrived to pick up the truck at this location, they did NOT have the truck as promised and suddenly our charges tripled! The truck we were given was much smaller, in bad condition and dirty. The woman he spoke with was rude and did not seem to care about the massive screw up on their part. We will NEVER rent from U-Haul again.

AMABLE PThe procedure to get the truck was complicated and long. I was only able to get a 10 ft when I reserved a 15 ft over a month ahead. The can of the truck smelled like an ashtray and the floor of the back where we packed everything was muddy. The truck had only a quarter tank of gas so we stopped to put more in. The sensor for the gas tank would only let us put in about half a gallon at a time which is probably why the previous renter left only a quarter tank. We are very disappointed in the condition of the vehicle and the whole experience was a hassle. I hope U-Haul will take care of their customers better in the future or I will not be using your services again.
Joan RClean the vehicle before the next customer, fill the tank (I was driving on an eighth of a tank), and have the parking lot be easier to enter/exit by removing/reparking a few other vehicles.

Yves-marie CNothing against UHaul, the van was satisfactory and as expected, but the place I got it from was pretty lousy. I checked out through the app for faster checkout, but when I went inside to get the key, I still had to wait in line even though the app said I didn't have to, as the lady at the desk continued to check people out for groceries. When it was my turn, she was looking in the system for my reservation, talking to her friend, rang out a customer, looked in the system again, talked to her friend again, rang someone out again, and it felt like a long time before I got the key. Then when I went to get the van, it was LITERALLY parked in by other UHauls that the door could hardly open, forcing me to squeeze in. Then when I was done, someone parked a UHaul directly in front of the lots rear exit, forcing me to backup out of the lots front entrance the whole way through. Definitely not going back there…

Richard WWell I reserved on line and none of the information I had online was the same with what they had on there end. Like for one I reserved a 9' van and they said I reserved a 10' truck which I know I didn't because my confirmation was for a van. I ended up having to take the 10' truck the issue there was that I am a fairly petite so it felt like I was using my tippy toes to be able to drive the truck because the seat didn't come up further. My only suggestion is that this location should go off what the customer's confirmation is for. I showed the girl my phone but she never even looked at it. Had she looked she would have seen it was for a 9'van. Could have saved me a little money to.
Candace SCustomer service by Uhaul representative was unprofessional on the phone when trying to get Uhaul through Mobile Pickup. Reservation was cancelled without warning. Then had to go to a different location which was in a dangerous area to pick up truck.
Dustin PStore was not open at 8am. Clerk was not pleasant and it was different to understand them. Music was blaring in the store and clerks second language was English. Had to write all of our information down on a receipt for her to tell UHaul. Spent 30+ minutes while clerk was on the phone with UHaul to check us in. Clerk walked away from us several times. We followed to find out what she was going. Getting key from lock box but had an issue opening it. Then once the key was in her hand she walked back in the store without acknowledging us. We had to follow her in for her to give us the key at the counter. Parking lot is so tight you can barely move around. Truck stunk like cigarettes. Unfolded moving blankets in passenger seat. Bed of truck was filthy.
EDWARD LI was charged an extra 8 dollars for I have no reason what and I used live chat multiple times and it was overall hard to figure out for first timers.

HALI GMy reservation was scheduled for a different location than listed above. There was no one present and the employee arrived 20 minutes after my reservation. He then told me although he had my reservation, he had no truck for me, so I had to go to the location listed above. Once I arrived at the second location, it took about 30 minutes for anyone to be able to help me access the truck. Once in the truck, the tank was completely empty, so I had to track down a gas station immediately. Started actually moving about 90 minutes after planned. Not a great experience. Don't plan to use uhaul again.

Maria ROnly thing I had a problem with the did not check cause I noticed after 9 blocks to my destination I noticed gas gage was less than a half of tank no way i used that I put40$ worth of gas felt I should of been reimbursed some of the money
ELIZABETH BThe location was fine and the lady working the store was nice! However, the check in process to get the U-Haul was not as easy as advertised. Another renter and I spent an hour trying to check in and get the U-Haul, which set us back. U-Haul needs to tell people that while you check in on the app, you need to allot a significant amount of time to go through the process and even if it's not a U-Haul store, you need to go into the location given. It sounds obvious now, but how are we supposed to know that a little grocery store is where you go to get the key and equipment.
Christina DThe miles were incorrect, I was charged the wrong amount. The location was hard to find and maneuver a large truck in. The truck was messy and disgusting. I would like to be contacted back if possible. Merci.
KRISTEN SThe Neighbor dealer was 30 mins late to my appointment. She was very rude and did not do a good job of explaining the contract. I was forced to call customer support to remove the extra fees that were charged to my account since the woman did not explain I needed to bring the rental back in 4 hours. She was a very poor communicator. I do NOT recommend the 1313 W Linden St location. It was very inconvenient that they had to move my pick up location twice.

theodore lThis was not the location I booked. The morning of the rental I was informed the unit I reserved for 8:30 would not be available until after 10 at a different location. If you're tight on time, UHaul may not be for you.

Maria TI don't like that they did not, and put the information that the equipment was returned. One time in order for me not to receive a text message saying that guy my equipment was overdue when it wasn't so if they cannot be prompt and reliable and allowing the U-Haul company to know that the equipment has been returned. I don't think that this facility should be distributed in U haul at all.
Antwa BI had trouble getting into the small lot as it is a downtown city spot. I had to drive around and come back to get guided in. They were very helpful though but in the future I would choose an easier location to access.
Lenore Di was very upset that after i had used the u haul for their cargo van for just one hour I was charged double for using that location instead of a regular u haul location i feel like i was ripped off i would never use that location again
