Dorwwin VWe live in a 2 bedroom small condo with no basement to put items we use. Storage is a necessity..especially in a clean heated building like yours. Every 3 weeks, we used to be in Peterborough for appointments…and would use this time if needed to access our stored items. Our Peterborough Chiropractor has retired recently -and we don't go to Peterborough very often. We have found that items were need unexpectedly and right away, were too far of a ride away from us. We have found storage within a short distance of our home allowing us to have access in minutes to items we need. Thank you for many years years of using your facility…and if this doesn't work out.. there is no other other clean, heated and more well organized storage facility anywhere in Peterborough that we would use except GPL STORAGE. Leslie RUnfortunately, I am writing this review as I did not have a pleasant experience here. I don't normally write reviews but this was a very frustrating experience. I booked a 15' truck to move but received a call an hour before my reservation that they didn't have the truck and would need to downsize to a 10' truck. I agreed (because 10' is better than 0') assuming that our charges would reflect the change. However, we were still charged for the 15' and we also had to pay for all the mileage - even though we expressed that it would now take several trips to move everything. They offered to allow us to keep the truck for an extra day. However, I got a text that it needed to be returned within 23 hours from picking it up. After returning - they asked for an 80$ additional payment because I "went over my mileage". The only compensation we got was 20$ off so I still paid 170$ for a truck we didn't want while also having to fill the tank to make up for the extra trips we had to take. If you need a truck rental, go to the Uhual on Water Street - they are MUCH more professional.

LARRY FWe returned the truck at night and the lot was not very well lit. My wife was not very comfortable, if a single woman went to pick up or drop off a truck at night it would not be too nice for her. I would suggest the location needs to invest in some better lighting for the parking lot.

Stephen BI was expecting a lot of dust since the stuff was in the unit for 5 years... but there was just a VERY thin layer of fine dust! Staff have always been very helpful and friendly - in person, on the phone and via email. While one could argue that 24/7 access would be more convenient, I appreciate that the hours are limited and staff are always there when the facility is open - I felt much more secure in leaving my things there for an indefinite period of time. Thanks to all the staff for making both the move in and out so hassle free!

When I went to GPL it was the complete opposite, they gave me the best service I've gotten in 10 years. Uhaul should send its dealers to GPL to learn how to do the job properly.

We were glad to find an indoor heated facility and the restricted access hours were more than offset by the security it provided. We made many trips to our two units to store our more vulnerable items and then to move them out again. Although everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful I have to say Shelley and Tracy in particular made what could have been a difficult time a breeze. When I phoned to arrange a time and when I met them on arrival they treated me more like a friend than a customer. They also made sure the facility and the rental vehicles were always kept clean. The rental of a Uhaul van when I needed it also went smoothly. It's rare to receive this level of service in any business dealings nowadays. I will definitely be back if the need for storage arises again.

If you work, then Saturday is maybe the only day to get in there and with a 2pm close, its limited. Otherwise, staff are super friendly, the place is super clean. They allow you to take the mobile skids out if you have several boxes.

Hertz just has a drop box. Multiple photos to give back a car when a human has to come get the key 10 steps away just seems overkill. That is not work a customer needs to do.
