The location is easy to find and convenient to most lodging in Haines. It is a typical small town multipurpose shop (in a Radioshack) so the owner may have other priorities and the internet is slow. Be patient and appreciate the reasonable price.

There weren't a lot of vehicles to rent. However, the truck I rented was beautiful and very new. Great service, really, if you can get one.

Pattie Did amazing and beyond helpful, I hope she can keep a fleet of supply’s I was able to rent a truck that was really nice lots of clips to tie stuff down in the back well set up and being larger mid size truck was very helpful and it performed amazing in the snow with it options for four wheel traction control with the Alaska ice roads.

I rented a 15' truck weeks in advance, there was only a van available. I was not notified by U-haul that a truck would not be available. U-haul needs to ensure that the appropriate vehicle is present. I don't see a reason for reserving a vehicle if the company figuratively rents it out from under you. Very disappointed The rental agent was the most positive and helpful part of my experience.

We had reserved a pick-up truck 7/22/2022 and the reservation was confirmed. We arrived the truck was not available and instead we had to accept a van which also change the reserved price of $19,99 a day and now cost us $80 a day. so no, we are not happy with you service. You should at least refund the difference in cost and charge us according to your original offer.

I reserved the truck weeks before and days before I had several calls that the truck would not be available because UHaul was coming to take the trucks to another location. In the end, it worked out for me to rent a truck. I loved the option, and I had many people ask me about it. Haines needs at least two trucks available all year long!!!

2-wheel drive van in AK winter? No studs on tires or chains available? Returned early when snowflakes occurred again today. Useless on hills in 1-2 inches of snow. Very clean and roomy but sat in a parking lot 2 days due to issues above.

road side assistance was not available when I needed it. I spent over an hour on the phone and never got through. This was a huge issue as I was on a remote highway in Alaska.

Went to drop off a trailer here and no one was there. The hours said it was open but no one was there. It took us 4 times as long to drop off online. Would not recommend U-Haul to anyone.

The truck says 19,95 was charged 29,95 was quoted. 79 cent's a mile was charged 0,99 cents a mile . Said something about it before finalizing the transaction she said I'll take care of it and nothing was done.

I was very pleased with the service and wonderful help to assist me to accomplish getting my vehicle into the repair shop using a vehicle transport. Patty went the extra mile to help arrange the best method and equipment set me up for success. I owe her and U haul a huge thank you.

The man that waited on me at the desk had no idea what he was doing. It took an hour to complete the paperwork. He was rude with no customer service. It is a shame that this is the only U-haul location in Haines. It would have been worth it to drive 250 miles to Whitehorse, YT to not have to deal with the poor service.

Too much cleaner on inside floors made it super slippery. Too much cleaner in back made the aluminum so slippery. Overall super clean and well maintained. Be sure to check windshield wipers-drivers side needed a new one. It rattled every wipe while I drove in the rain the first 4 hours of my trip.

Nothing. Everything was excellent - including very helpful staff with reserving the trailer, hooking it up, and return. Perfect.

Have dealer check the following before renting out: 1. Tires for nails. After taking trailer I checked all 4 tires for air pressure. Found 1 with only 10 lbs. Found nail in tire. Returned to dealer and they had me take the trailer with a new tire to a mechanic to have it changed! 2. Bare wires on wiring harness. Two days into trip driving lights blew out. Found two bare wires on harness shorting out that blew fuses on my truck. The dealer was not very polite or apologetic for the inconveniences that her negligence caused us. We are very unhappy with this uHaul dealer.

Customer service was slow and took a long time for her to print out contract. We were anxious to get on our way. Assistance to help load the trailer was a horrible experience with their son helping and he used fowl language and demeanor was horrific. Ended up with a flat tire on the trailer which slowed down our process even more. Then come to find out from Anchorage office we did not even have a valid contract on the trailer. Thank God we didn't run into any hassle at the Border because they didn't check the trailer contract.

I reserved a trailer online weeks ahead of my need and called the local facility before picking it up and they had no record. They took info again over the phone. When I arrived in Alaska to pick it up the trailer was not ready as it had no working lights or so they said so I had to come back the next day. If I had not called when I did to double check, I would not have had anything after driving three days to Alaska. I was not happy.

I was very impressed by the staff's commitment to making sure my move went as scheduled, even though they weren't able to provide the exact equipment that I wanted. The service I received was much better than I had anticipated, and I truly appreciate everything Patty and Andy did to help me out.

Better contact with customer when changes are made. Ordered 15' truck and when I called they said they changed to 17'. Normally not a problem but we had reservations with Ak Marine Highway Ferry for 15' truck not 17'. Fortunately room was available But cost us additional 91 for extra length.
