William NAlthough I chose self check-in, the pick up location was supposed to be staffed during regular business hours. I was unable to unlock the combination lock to retrieve the key. I spent 1,5 hrs. on the phone with a Uhaul rep. trying to assist me. Although not on site, a staff person at the pick up location finally answered the phone and after several more attempts the lock opened. Uhaul needs to establish a back-up protocol for customers doing self check-in and the equipment malfunctions.
scott lThe lady at this location did her job well. The thing I am upset about is UHaul advertises 24/7 pick up, but it did not work. I was supposed to be able to go online check in and get a code to unlock the back where the keys to the truck were. I never got a code for the door and the lady had to call her supervisor in order to get a code. It took her about 20-30 min to gain access to the truck. So your process of 24/7 does not work. Due to this, I ended up sitting there waiting for it to open in order to get the truck. So an hour and a half of my time was idle that morning. I found the entire process very frustrating to say the least.
