Uhaul was beat up. Engine was rattling. Paint peeling off. Multiple dents. Drivers seat lopsided. Would have liked a better maintained vehicle.
Elise SThe App used to do a mobile pick up is not intuitive and not that easy for the layperson to use. After the second time of being bounced back to the beginning, I decided to just complete the pick up by just going into the rental office. Also, I received an email with a link to remind me to check the vehicle over. It asked me for location access and I must have touched the wrong button because I could not access the link. It would not let me retry to approve location access. Eventually, the link itself expired.
Debra GDon't show truck is available at other pick up locations on website when it is not. I had to drive further and spend more gas then originally indicated on line. Also, truck had NO gas upon pick up. Tank should have been full.

JANICEMITCHELL TThe vehicle was dirty in and out. The inside of the windshield was so filthy I needed to clean it to see to drive. The pickup gas was on empty. The interior smelled so strong of cigarettes I smelled like I smoked afterwards. I rent a good number of U-Haul trucks and will rent one in another two weeks. I should get some money back for the nasty pickup I am reviewing. Howard Baker

LATORIADENISE HI had a huge issue which cost my time and money. I had booked a 20 foot truck with a dolly, appliance dolly, and furniture dolly at this location, and the app didn't notify me that there is no 20 foot trucks after hours, nor any dollies, so it changed my reservation. I had to take the 10 foot truck because I was desperate, and the people helping me only had that day available to help out. So I ended up only taking essentials, and the rest I have to maybe hire someone to help me tae out from storage and into my house. I am very disappointed. It is not the locations fault, it is the Uhaul app's fault.
AYMAN AVehicle was clean but the virtual reservation was awful. The app wouldn't work so I had to use the website. It took 45 minutes to verify us so we could get the keys when I had called and spoken to a representative just minutes earlier to add an additional driver. There were also 2 employees that came out to clean vehicles that never offered or asked if we needed help.
Demond WThe app is incredibly slow and difficult to use. It took over an hour for me to pick up the truck because of the app. It is always a problem. If ever possible, I try to pick up from the counter to avoid using the app! To get an "early start before the location opens, I have to add an hour earlier just for the app problems I know I will encounter. I dread it. The location is great, the app is terrible.

Joseph GThe truck was terrible!! No heat! Broken windshield! Broken side view mirrors! Truck couldn't get out of second gear burning twice as much gas! Dried vomit in cab of truck! Dried blood on walls in back of truck! Absolutely disgusting! Battery died and roadside assistance never showed up, at night in 25 degree weather with no heat, 40 miles from home.. horrible, horrible, horrible!! Will never rent from an authorized uhaul place again!!

I was waiting in the parking lot for the store to open and the owner submitted my out bill before they opened causing my bank account to overdraw and I am still waiting for the refund from Uhaul. I have rented 3 trucks from this location and all have never been cleaned and all I get from the store is a "I'm sorry ". This is unacceptable. I spend a lot of money with Uhaul and I will be going back to my original pick up location on Elm Drive in Mechanicsville Va

Michelle CBefore I picked up the U-Haul, I got an email saying to bring my phone with U-Haul app and account and my license. When I started the process, the app said I have to verify myself in addition to my drivers license. I didn't expect that. If I knew, I would have brought my passport, which was one of the options. I did choose that they call my husband so he could verify me. That worked.

Patricia Jthe 24/7 pick-up was very complicated. We lost an hour because my phone's location setting was not set right. The truck was over-heating on and off the whole day.
Steve DOnly issue I had is that the gas was almost on E when I got the van, which delayed me in moving because I had to make an extra stop. Other than that the experience was great!
Tracey BThe uhual we rented had low to no power steering and the other truck they had out there and was renting out to other people had no gas cap. When it was brought to the shop attention the rep stated it will drive fine without it. As if they are aware that gas cap was missing and still renting out the vehicles. They need maintenance or a new fleet of uhual trucks. Also I requested dollys online. When I got to the location, the front desk lady stated they don't carry this equipment because they are smaller compared to the other bigger locations. If I had known this before hand I could have the option to rent somewhere else. If all locations don't carry equipment to move furniture it shouldn't be an option to choose online as well
Priscilla LJust like the last two times I've used uhaul, the morning of pickup, I get a call changing my location. It's a pain in the a$$ to have to adjust. They changed location because they didn't have what I needed. Where they sent me didn't have what I needed so I had to go to a third location which was a backtrack from where I was going. Complete sh!t show as usual. Threw off my entire schedule and put me an hour behind. Get it together uhaul
