Fix the online system. It fails (times out) during id verification. I attempted 10-15x at pick up and had to go inside to complete the process. The man inside was very knowledgable, efficient. The trucks engine sounds like it isn't maintained as well as maybe it should. The exhaust was quite loud as well. This only really made me concerned for a possible breakdown on my move. But none such thing occurred. I only mention it as it was quite noticable.

Carl NI was charged a cleaning fee even though truck was returned as clean as it was when checked out. When I complained I was given a credit towards my next rental for the amount of the fee instead of a refund of the cleaning fee. Total scam. I would not rent from them again.

steve rMobile check-in was awful; poor reception in the area where trucks were parked made it hard to go through the process. The added unpleasant surprise of needing not one but two additional people to be contacted to "verify my identity" was absurd and additionally complicated the mobile check out process. The alternatives were all things I didn't have with me because I was given NO INDICATION that it would be necessary. This location was fine, but in general UHAUL continues to find new ways to suck.

Ralph PThe app pick up was horrible. It asked the same info that I had given previously leading me to have to call. The person who answered could do nothing except "walk me through" the app, which still wasn't capturing my info. I spent an hour trying to pick up the truck, with little help. Thus caused me to miss an important appointment. Pick up, silence I had already given all information except payment should have taken no more than 15 minutes. I am appalled at the lack of help offered, and the length of time this transaction took Mr. I will not recommend the location or the company as a whole. Due to the lack of service, an app that wasn't working, and a waste of my time, you list a customer.

I have rented many trucks and trailers (15+) over the past 20-years in various states, but this was - by far - the easiest, fastest, and most cost effective Uhaul rental I have ever had. I will be renting my Uhaul needs from the Louis Doe Home Center from now on. Carolyn SPrices shown on my reservation was not what I was charged on the contract at pickup. subsequently, on return, prices charged were closer to those I anticipated and as shown on my initial contract. If you are going to pre-charge for higher milage initially, you should let people know that when they make the reservation, not when they show up pick up the rental. My reservation pricing was $295 for the week with 750 miles, but when I showed up, my card was charged for $295 with 750 miles, plus and additional 100 miles, (which I never needed, my total milage was only 625).

Mark WBest U-Haul experience we've ever had! we chose pick up & drop at Louis Doe's in Newcastle, Me. . They had a brand new van, and UHaul service person that makes sure you get what you need and oversees the reservation! it made all the difference. They have a low cost around town service too. Will definitely use again in the future.

Orlando SThe specific location is great- HOWEVER, UHaul has made a mistake by attaching the dolly and moving blankets to the inside of the truck. I specifically did not ask for these services so that the truck would be EMPTY b/c of the space I had specifically measured. The dolly and blankets take up precious cargo space that I needed every inch of. Really frustrating to have to call back and get permission to remove and not be charged. Again, the location is great and we have rented from Louis Doe many times before.

Tom HOnline reservation system caused me rage and discouragement. I had planned to pick up my rental at about five am. I was running a little late but since the rental term was for 23 hours I was not concerned when I arrived at about 5:30. I was on the phone three times over the next three hours (mostly on hold) unsuccessfully attempting to pick up my rental. The rental desk at the location opened at that time and they were able get me on the road within two or three minutes.
David FProbably the easiest pickup and drop off process in the industry. The truck was clean and tidy and had plenty of power for what I was hauling.

Mark DUsually the U Hauls we have rented clean inside but this one had not been cleaned in a long time . The dash , cups holders were filthy built up coffee drink spills, caked dirt from previous people. Made me very uncomfortable with covid being a concern that the cab had not been wiped down in quite sometime.

steven fWhen I booked the uhaul, I was given an option of getting moving help. I choose this and my card was charged 225 the day before my move. I was sent an email with the local movers' contact info, and I called, emailed, and texted to confirm the time. They never called back, contacted me in anyway or showed up. Louis Doe's gave me a corporate number for the moving help and each time I called, I was put on hold for over 20 minutes then cut off. I never spoke to anyone. This appears to be a major scam, my advice is do not use their moving help. It was a major fiasco.

GERALD BRented a 26 foot truck online to pickup in Brunswick and so was called the next day and told it wasn't available but if so drove to another town they would have a 26 foot truck for me and they would give a special rate of $119 plus 40 cents per mile over 170 miles. Went to new location next morning and there was no 26 foot again. They rented me a 20 foot truck which was not big enough to take to NH to pick up what I needed it so I took at and drove back to Brunswick to rent a trailer to pull behind the truck. Still did t fit everything because of the low height of the trailer and I wasn't able to stand curio cabinets up. I had to drive back today with my pickup truck and pick up last few cabinets. I was also charged the regular rate of 39,99 plus 1,09 for every mile. Really bad situation. I called the Brunswick Maine terminal and they said they would call me back. At this point I will try to get in touch with the district manager. John Berkeley
JOHN BI will not recommend uhaul because of excessive calls and e-mails from the time of booking to truck pick up. Also the self pick up is a joke.
JOSEPH JI am tall, so the seat could have gone back a little further for better comfort in the floor area.
