Agent had information incorrect on receipt and couldn't provide correct receipt. Had him pencil in correct info on receipt and sign. If I hadn't done that, I would have been charged incorrectly over $141. The drop off location did correct error and I ended up satisfied with overall rental.

The trucks were parked really close together so I was not comfortable backing the truck up in the spot I pulled it out of.

The equipment was very clean, but heavily damaged. My most disappointment was that the equipment I ordered online was not available when I got there. I was told it had been stolen. Not the fault of this location, but I wish the inventory was accurate when placing an order. I had to call around last minute for alternatives. Overall I received good service from this location and for sure would use them again.

Nehring Auto was not onsite when my rental time was guaranteed. I was to receive the truck at 1:30, doors locked, little sign on door said "Out to Lunch, returning at 1:15", but they didn't return from lunch until 1:40-1:45. I was dropped off and forced to wait in the freezing cold for over 20 minutes. This breaches the "100 % On Time Reservation Guarantee". I rented online, opting for a $7 Furniture Dolly, but when I finally got to check in at Nehring when he showed up, the man showed me what it looked like and talked me into switching my contract to a Regular Dolly instead, assuring me that he'd successfully changed it on my Account...but closer examination of my contract copy shows that I was billed for both! He failed to remove the other one. I was only given qty1 Regular Dolly for use with the U-Haul. The 20 ft truck has some sort of transmission slipping...revved up long and loud at acceleration after every stop sign, street light, and random slow down, and when finally automatically finding gear, it jerked some-which caused us anxiety and concern the entire rental. Thought it was going to choose our rental transaction to finally break down and leave us stranded during a haul and somehow financially liable for its demise! After returning the rental on time, in clean shape, and with ample additional fuel replaced, my bank account was billed an additional $43.33. I called the rental place to ask why. A lady started to claim that we failed to return the Furniture Dolly we rented and I told her that we did NOT rent that, we returned the only equipment we'd rented and we were clearly overcharged for that one. She then stated that she had to clean the truck which I found absurd because it was swept out prior to returning it. She said that she took photos but said she wasn't able to provide these to me...I firmly disagree with her claim and with her inability to prove that it was in any kind of disarray. She then claimed that there was some kind of shelving that was left behind, which they had to remove and likely invoiced for. I advised that she was mistaken, we did not leave any such thing in our rental Uhaul. She couldn't provide any photos of that for my review either...then proceeded to recant, and stated that "well, maybe it was another truck rental that had shelves left behind". She added that we opted for a 10 mile rental allotment but that we exceeded that by a lot...saying that we drove it over 27 miles! This is both impossible and grossly claimed because Google Maps shows the distance between our old house to our new house to be 3,9 miles, which we hauled our belongings to and fro only TWICE! My son and I also drove to Walmart for bed screws and wingnuts on a trek, per Google Maps, of exactly 4 miles. We then had it parked in the driveway unused until returning it the following day. That's a total of 11,8 miles! She was, again, unable to provide me with photos of this massive overage of mileage usage for my review. She acknowledged, slightly, about our contract being overcharged $7 for Dollys, said that because she had to "clean out" the back of the truck she was adamant about her billing me $25 for her "sweeping", albeit a very mayyyybe that being a single leaf or two that perhaps blew in on that cold, windy day while closing the doors a final time (not a "pile" of dust she claims was inside, nor were there any shelving left inside from OUR rental, with 100 % positive verification, that's for sure), didn't at all seem to care about me pointing out that my Reservation Guarantee was not met, nor did she discuss further of her claim that we'd doubled our mileage quote...somehow..in this small town, and that she couldn't provide me with proof of it or show me this $25 pile of dust she swept up...she only referred me to their Area Mgr's telephone #, saying that she'll call him first and have him call me. That was hours ago now. Still waiting for that call to come, frustrated, disappointed, overcharged, and feeling increasing dissatisfaction as time passes. I was a consistent, loyal customer before this transaction, having rented Uhauls in 2021, 2022, and 2023. I am well versed in the rules and protocols involved. I would appreciate some clarity on how I can begin to see some financial and consumer reprieve ASAP.

The app needs some work. I couldn't get the trailer turned in on the app. Initially the location wasn't picking up and then the pictures wouldn't load.

Make sure gas gauge is properly working because when I filled it up and I filled it till it wouldn't take another drop the gas gauge would only read 15/16's of a tank and I was worried about getting an extra charge on my card for not filling the tank! But all in all great experience!

The air conditioner did not blow cool air at all. It was 85 the day we moved and had to ride interstate with windows down. Not a good time.

I just want to say that we never went to your instructional website until after we had returned the U haul, locked it up, and was on our way home. That's why alot of what you wanted us to do, never got done. Otherwise, our overall experience was great!!

They said I left the truck Sorry and that's simply not true. I wiped down the inside and swept the inside of the truck. I have 10 people who watched me Do it.

Tried to return the uhaul and when I scanned the barcode it said that I was at the wrong location that I should have returned it to grinnell Iowa location 19 miles away. Did I keep the truck an extra day yes. Did I put extra miles on the truck yes.but with the cash deposit I put down should have covered it with about $30 left over. But did anyone call me about it NO!!!.This is what you guys like to do is scam people out of their hard earned money

Overall my experience was good, the staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately noticed that once I arrived at my destination that the left tire of the trailer had a large chunk of rubber out of it and the inside of the tire ply was showing. With the full load we would have had a big problem if that tire would have blown.

just the same uhaul

The vehicle was not safe. shifting into gear was a challenge as it was very loose and would go into wrong gear. you had to be very slow and precise when shifting. Door was previously damaged and repaired, but wind would howl in through gap and made driving experience unbearable . key would not go in ignition easily and passenger could not be opened or locked with the key

Maybe have knowledge when a customer expresses a concern about equipment. It seemed he had no idea what I was talking about, and didn't give me any information on someone to contact regarding the issue.

The headlights are horrible One of them painted 4 ft to the ground in front of me The other one on high beam barely did anything so is unsafe to drive at night

I asked the hours that they are open. They said 8-5 I got there at 4:20 on Friday 9-23-22. the doors were locked. I found a guy from the shop he said they are closed. I told him I was to get a trailer. He said the person that ran the office had an appointment and left for the day. I had to drive 30 miles to come back and lost work time. NOT HAPPY!

Our trailer had issues with the hitch. Nearing's tried to repair, but decided to give us a different trailer. Great to work with; really took great care of us!!

I never have had a problem with this location in the passed. I had scheduled my uhaul to be picked up at 8am.. i arrived at 8:05am apparently they "guy" that does rentals wasn't there and the mechanic had to call..his mom to wake him up... he finally got there.. it took close to 20/25 to get through the rental process paperwork and finally around 8:35 I got the keys and left 35 minutes later.

the auto shop was great and the guy who worked there was very kind and helped me even though they were closed. uhaul customer service, however, was tough to deal with and couldn’t answer my questions or figure out what the problem was. it took me forever to get the uhaul and it took me forever to return it because the check in/return kept refreshing for no reason. very unhappy with UHAUL but i will be using nehring auto for any future vehicle concerns!

You charge me extra miles for picking up a truck 150 miles from where I should have. You need to fix this bullshit charge.

The gas tank was only 3/4 full when I picked up the truck. I was told that if I returned the truck to the drop off site within 6 hours, I would only have to pay the 6 hour rental, or at a minimum the 1-day rental fee. When I called the service center after the return, which was within 6 hours of the pickup time, I was told they wouldn't honor what I was told.

The ratchet straps : the ratchets are rusty so it was super hard to get them to release I would recommend taking the ratchets apart and sanding off the rust and oiling the mechanics of the ratchet part.
