Mike shop was closed by the time I got there plus it was on a Sunday so didn’t interact with anybody but drop off was super easy.

No one was there. It was kind of scary. I took pictures just in case there was an issue.

Dylan HSmall auto repair shop, but the owner is very knowledgeable and packs a ton of Uhaul trucks and trailers into his location. If you need anything Uhaul related...he's got it!
Troy LNot only was the location not staffed, but U-Haul attempted to charge me for an additional day. Fortunately, I don't trust any company except the one I work for and took a time-stamped photo of the truck when I dropped it off (which was before the agreed-upon drop off time). What a racket! Won't do that again...I'll rent from Penske next time.

Thomas CMike was great and super helpful. When the original truck I had reserved turned out to be too small to fit what I had to move, Mike was able to get me the next bigger truck.
eric hThis was an easy rental. The truck was available when needed and the reservation was quick and easy. The only issue we had was that somehow the rental got canceled after we returned the truck and I was not billed. I contact MIchael at the shop and he was able to easily and quickly resubmit and bill me. It was very easy and friendly. Merci.

GARY TLocation was dingy at best, and the guy who runs the place doesn't really care about customer service (it's a garage that rents out U-Haul trucks. Just imagine an oil rig worker staffing the front desk of a Hampton Inn). Also, I DID NOT sign up for the "Safe Move" coverage, but I guess it 'snuck in' when I was signing the form on a small tiny screen of an iPhone. It was SOO hard to see the screen that you just wanted to get out of there. That was an extra $15 that I wasn't planning on spending. (The total mileage used was less than 5 miles!).
George SThe location looks like a junkyard, there is absolutely no parking, and the trailer smelled like oil and grease and was dirty. I had to broom out and air out the trailer before using it. The trailer itself was fine. The business owner also damaged the bumper on my brand new, 1 300 mile vehicle while attaching it. If I thought I could actually get anything done about it, I would have contacted someone to have my car fixed. Uhaul's trailer was great, but they might want to rethink their relationship with this business.
Alex SIt was a mechanic shop and the man seemed annoyed that I interrupted him. He didn't have much to say except that I'd get a receipt from uhaul in my email.
Mary NGet better locks or use some wd40 on them! Took nearly 1/2 hour to pry it open. Lot so full nowhere to park. My truck was at an old Cumberland farms across the street in an unmarked parking lot. Visually the place was real run down & no covered area to work on opening lock. It was torrentially raining & I got completely soaked. It was awful. Broke 2 fingers nails trying to open it. Lock was like cemented shut. I thought I was given the wrong code. Lost service. Just awful experience & will never self check in again.
Florence WWe had problems with using the app to return our trailer. Our cell phone reception was poor, and it was Sunday so there was no one there to help. But it seems that U-Haul was understanding about this issue and did not charge us $20 for being late.

Bill BMike (he never said ?) at Portland Street Service Center has very poor communication skills - barely speaks. Location is dingy and run down. After a few brisk grunts for information, he handed me the keys and pointed to the truck. After seeing there was evidence of previous damage, I returned inside within 2 minutes to show it to him, but he was nowhere to be found - he had driven off on an errand. His helper was nice, and we both took photos.
Brad VAt this location, ONLY ONE PERSON was able to process our UHaul pickup, and he was absent for over 45 minutes when we were trying to get the truck, and had a schedule to keep. We have used three other UHaul outlets relatively near to us, and they each seemed to have someone at the desk who could process the pickup, so waiting was minimal. Of course, if this is the only outlet with the equipment available, I would use it again, and recommend to others. Other than this issue, I have no complaints with them.
Bruce WWhen I reserved at my location, which I picked there but gat a call to puck up further away and wasn't impressed with that. But all worked out.

Clifford aAllow you to upload a picture not require you to take a pic in real time when you drop off. It will have a timestamp so you can see it's legit even if it's an upload. I had gone around and done all the pics required and then had to do them again because app did not allow uploads. Just a pain. But not the end of the world.
Matthew AMike was very helpful in getting the truck evaluated and ready to go. Pickup and drop off was easy.
Moya HFix your website/app! Please!! Sometimes drop off is nice and easy, take my pics, submit things, and its done - other times I have to try the app a few times, spend time on the phone, call in, and talk to someone... and it takes a lot longer than just dropping it off.
