This location was horrible. The location was not will marked from the road. Once found, it was dirty. I literally had to walk through dog manure to get to the trailer to hook it up. The location was basically in a fenced in backyard of a residence. The gentleman helping me was not aware of my arrival to pick it up. Once the trailer was hooked up and ready to go I asked him why there was no safety pin for the hitch release. He told me that was U-Haul's new policy and configuration. After showing him the hitch could easily be released without the safety pin, he went and got some wire and ran it through the hole to prevent the release latch from inadvertently opening. Completely unprofessional and I can't believe this is U-Haul's policy. I truly feel like he was lying to me. Someone from U-Haul needs to visit this location and see the conditions where the trailers are stored. Additionally, the gate to drive through to access the trailer was tight and not conducive to most drivers pulling a trailer.
