Jared J.Don't close early when you have clients with appointments. The check in process (self check in) was a nightmare. And no apology or even an acknowledgment that they left me hanging. I had an appointment to pick up a truck at 4:30pm, and they were slow, so they left at 4pm. Very unprofessional.
Stacey W.We rented a trailer for moving in Idaho. When we returned the trailer we were charged an extra $15 for cleaning. I don't know how you expect the exterior to not be a bit dirty after driving 10+ hours on highways! It was not excessively dirty and I was not informed that they expected it to be returned washed !! I am very unhappy with this.

Unfortunately I don't recall his name. He was engaged, happy to be working at the site, extremely helpful, and anxious to assist me with the rental. That type of experience is rare and memorable. I'll be a fan of Uhaul and that location for a long time because of that experience!

fraser H.Why are there 2differant charges pending on my Bank account for my u haul yesterday, one is for $71 ,which is about $10 more than I usually pay for a THREE HOUR RENTAL and one is for just under $6, your vehicle was returned with slightly more fuel than it left with.? I will be disputing the second charge seen on my account with my bank.

Melissa T.I got inside the truck with 24 miles till empty. That in my book was really a shitty way to start my day. Then not have my equipment I ordered 3 weeks in advance and to be able to see the equipment stacked behind a shipping container was cherry on top.

Gas prices are high they should rent trucks out with full tank so it's easy on customers to return the truck with the same amount of gas. Customer service was great truck was clean.

I have been renting from Sierra tire and U-Haul for several years now for various incendiary reasons they always remember who I am and they always treat me like a friend

Marilyn F.Considering the incident described in the pickup location comments, Destiny, at Sierra Tire & Trailer Center was the ONLY person who seemed intelligent enough to understand there was a mechanical failure with the truck. There is a notice on the ac controls that indicate the truck's power is reduced when the ac is on to save fuel, however, we had the ac off. We turned it on for a couple minutes in Yuba City but turned it off because it was blowing hot air and my husband doesn't like ac. Sometimes when the ac isn't working properly, the compressor will turn itself on/off. That could explain why we didn't have power going up the hill but doesn't explain why the truck kept rolling backwards with the gear shift in FIRST with my husband pressing on the brakes. Both of his hands were on the steering wheel so I reached across the seat to pull the 911 brake but that didn't seem to do much either. My son was outside of the truck, he said it was rolling back like it was in reverse. Luckily, the dirt on the side of our driveway caught the bumper and stopped us or we probably would've blasted through our lower neighbor's gate. This is the testimony we're prepared to give in court.

Charles L.This location didn't bother to refill the gas tank to the standard 1/4 but told me to return it at 1/4 of a tank or more despite it being at just 1/8 full. Had I not noticed this I would have paid more to refill the tank beyond my responsibility. The woman who checked us out for the vehicle gave us NO instructions. We returned the next day 15 minutes before our return time and within the shop's hours of operation only to discover the shop had closed more than half an hour early. The woman who checked us out said nothing about hanging on to our copy of the contract or how to complete the after hours check in so we had to figure out how to return our vehicle online while standing outside in 100+ degree weather, which turned out to be a long and tedious process and by the time it was completed it was 1 minute past our check in time, so I'm concerned I'm going to be charged for another day. The online return process also asked me how I wanted to pay for the rental despite my card already being charged at the time of checking the van out, so I am also worried that I'm going to be charged twice. Additionally, because the location decided to close early I was unable to speak to a representative and get a refund for the difference in mileage. We overestimated our mileage to be safe and I will have to call UHaul on Monday to get the refund which is extremely annoying. This was an overall really unprofessional and hectic experience that is marketed by U-Haul as being simple and convenient for the customer. I will not use this location again and I cannot recommend it to anyone that I know.
