They lied and said the tank was full when I got it. It was a little over 3/4 of atank. They charged $11 extra when I returned for gas I didn't use. They also didn't credit me back the money from the mileage I didn't use. I paid for 50 mikes and used maybe 20 miles. Also the clerk was rude

The initial amount of gas that they determined was nore than what was in the truck when i got it. My first reservation wasnt honored so i couldnt move on time as i had planned. The brake pedal required me to lift my whole leg up to reach it, very unsafe. All in all it was a bad time

Communication great text, email, call verified reservation one-way trip. When we got there, said only a very large truck available for one- way & for size we got we'd have to bring back(?) so asking for $50 credit due to break in agreement. Otherwise, all great

I assumed that they were going to hookup the trailer and verify that my vehicle and hitch was good and lights were working. In stead they told me I was good to find the trailer and hook it up myself.

I rented a 6x12 box trailer that was parked down in incline through and against a fence. It took myself and a gas station customer 20 minutes to get it hooked up. The trailer didn't have a front tongue stand and they didn't have a jack to get it off the ground.

Did not like that I had to take it back to the place I got it from when I drove by four other U-Haul places to take it back there and then I got charged for mileage to do that it was b*******

When we dropped truck off person said I just need keys and that was it. Great for dropping off. Not so great for the check out process. Would have like a receipt or record of truck being dropped off. Did receive the final invoice several hours later but they didn't even check odometer when dropping off. I know this is a small thing but as far as renting, the attention to detail will assist both renter and rentee as far as claims are concerned.

I had the absolute worst experience with Uhaul I rented a uhaul that was in terrible shape in the back filled up with trash. Sent me back and went to another location and couldnt get acccess to the truck there. Finally had to drive 25 miles away to find a truck and never got any compensation or anything. I was very disappointed with Uhaul for this You can see my account in customer service

1st off I picked up the truck at a gas station. The woman that waited on me was on the phone with I guess her U-Haul boss and waiting on customers getting gas, coffee etc. very unprofessional. 2nd I had reserved a dolly which she told me there wasn't any, when I asked if that was deducted she told me to look in other trucks for one. I didn't know I now work for U-Haul.

It took an hour to do the questions on the computer and then had to do it all over again by telephone with the owner. And I was supposed to get a car hauler trailer but it was gone so had to settle for a car dolly. Not happy.

The woman who worked here was nice but it was a weird gas station location pick up. We had to change our original pickup to here last minute because our truck we reserved could not be confirmed at the original location even though we booked out 1 week in advance and it was further from home.

Service was terrible, U-Haul was dirty, did not have appliance dolly I had reserved, I had to wait for the lady that worked there to get off of the phone (sounded like a personal call) to locate the key for my rental. 20 plus minutes later after she finally found the key she just handed it to me said here's your key and walked away, didn't point me towards my truck or anything. Employees there had better things to do than assist customers.

I was charged for a hand dolly and there was not one on the truck. I didn't realize this until I got to the location where I was picking up the furniture. I had to rent a dolly at a local hardware store for $10.00. When I returned the truck to the U-Haul rental location, I told the person at the counter that there was no dolly on the truck. She pointed out that the dolly was sitting on the side of the building. I went outside to look, and it was still there. It would have been more logical that they have the dolly already on the truck for me. Even if I saw a dolly sitting outside how would I know I was supposed to take that one. I went back and asked if she could take the charge for the dolly off of the bill. She told me that she could not make any adjustments to the contract upon return of the truck. I'm disappointed with this situation. It cost me additional money and time to find a dolly to rent. I think any person in this, or a similar situation would believe that everything paid for on the contract would already be loaded on the truck and ready to go and should not have to look around the building.

Was surprised that clerk didn't go over vehicle with me at pickup, just gave me the keys after checking my ID. Did state that the fuel was at 1\4 tank and that's where it had to be when I returned vehicle. Returned vehicle earlier than expected, put 24,7 miles on it and put enough fuel back in it to return the level to 1\4 tank at this businesses gas pump. Went inside, told clerk I was returning a vehicle, gave her the keys and asked if she wanted to go over vehicle with me and she stated "no" and that I would receive a receipt later in my email. I should have made her check vehicle before I left, my mistake. I got my receipt later and to my surprise I was charged a fuel service fee and charged for 4 gallons of gas and the level on the receipt indicated fuel level between 1\8 and 1\4. I should have taken a pic of the level before giving the clerk the keys, again my mistake for being too trusting. I put almost 3 gallons of fuel in to return to the level I received it. So with what I put in and the additional 4 I was charged would make a total of 7 gallons. 7 gallons of fuel for 24,7 miles. That is roughly 3,5 mph. This is a total rip off and I will not rent from this location (13500 Tesson Ferry, St Louis Mo) again and strongly recommend taking pics of everything for proof. Also, check the security cameras as it will show I was at the pump at 3:35 pm putting gas back in your vehicle.

The personnel told me I didn't have to wait on the final inspection and that I would be sent the receipt. When I got the receipt, they charged me for a full tank of gas even though I dropped the truck off with a full tank. If you drop your equipment here, be careful they don't rip you off.

Had a reservation to pick up the truck at 7am. I signed up with online to get my key but was not given a code to the key box. I called the phone number provided on the internet for assistance. She was nice but could not get a hold of the local office to help me get access to the truck. I had to leave to meet my movers at 8am and had no truck to assist with my move. When I called the U-Haul pick up location at 9:30 to see if I could get the truck again, I told her the story of what happened and she didn't apologize for the inconvenience. She made it seem like it was my fault that I couldn't get my truck in the morning. It was frustrating. So I went to get the truck and she told me the reason I couldn't get the truck is because the he team that transferred my reservation to this location from my original order, did not make it a 24 hour reservation. Once I got the truck and did what I needed to do, everything was great.

There was a lock that was on the truck when we picked it up at our pick-up location. Upon dropping the truck off at the drop-off location, there were no instructions as to what to do with this particular lock. Since the entire process was contactless, we weren't able to ask any questions and had to do the entire process on our own. With no instructions as to how to handle this lock, we simply left the truck as we found it: with the blankets in the back of the truck and the lock back in place on the back door. Apparently the person at the drop-off wasn't given the code and had to call us to question why we placed this random lock on their truck. <insert eye roll here> We assumed that since it was UHaul that placed the lock on and had the code within our paperwork for pick-up that the code would carry forward to the person who received it at drop-off. Apparently not so. It was a minor portion of the process, but between picking our truck up from an abandoned/empty lot to having to do all documentation ourselves (and hoping we did it correctly) to not knowing what to do with the lock, it was all just a bit frustrating. There needs to be better instructions.

There were several other trucks available and I was given a truck that I believe was not fuel efficient (exhaust fumes). Trucks should be full with fuel when picked up, instead of half I feel it's a scam.

The attendant was not able to disconnect the ball from the hitch nor was I at first. The attendant left to call for help I thought but never returned. I realize there was a store front to run but the time for aide was there. Once I got the trailer disconnected and placed in a marked spot, I went to the store to find her. She asked if I was all done? No help. No tools, I used my own. She gave me the receipt up front.

They told me the girl was a little OVER half full. I pointed out to them it was actually a little UNDER half full. I returned it with half a tank. They charged me over $11 for two gallons of gas that I didn't need.

I had a reservation (23433457) for 8am Saturday and I showed up to pick up the truck and they were not open on Saturdays, I tried to call and got left a message for them to call back and nobody ever did. I had to go 10 miles extra to get a truck half the size and make 2 trips costing me more in mileage.

Initially I had reserved my rental through the Imperial location at 6645 Hwy 61/67. They failed to place the key in the lock box forcing me to drive even further to find a rental. I would NOT recommend the imperial location but the Tesson Ferry Location pulled through.

Not crazy about the ultimate change of location 45 minutes before pick up, like seriously, it would have changed my entire day if we would have known and it wasn’t 2 miles difference from my original location as the customer service indicated

The employee was unsure how to hook up the trailer. He had to watch a you tube video to help us. When we dropped it off in Lawrence Kansas, the employee there said it was hooked up incorrectly. That scares me that it could've came undone while we were drivingZ

Not only was the truck not clean, I had reserved a dolly, furniture dolly, appliance dolly and moving blankets. The attendant let me know after I got there that she had none of those items. She tried calling U-Haul, but ultimately told me I should try the downtown location and fend for myself leaving all items on the contract. I got downtown and they only had an appliance dolly, but offered to clean the dirty truck for me. They really were terrific. Had I not been asked by UHaul to switch to the Tesson Ferry location for a guaranteed rental, the downtown location was my original location. All of this put me behind schedule on my move. I paid for a dolly, furniture dolly, and moving blankets that I never received.

I reserved my truck online. A few days before the move, I was informed that the 20' truck had to be picked up at a distant location, but date and time (8:00am) remained the same. When I arrived on the day of the reservation, I was told they did not have a 20' truck, but one "might" be returned by 10:00am. Since movers were scheduled well in advance of this move, I accepted the next largest truck and had to make two trips to move instead of one. In short, my bill for the move nearly tripled because I had to travel to a further location to get/return the truck, and had to make double the trips. Can't be trusted to comply with their own contract!

The customer service is friendly and helpful. The only con I would say would be not having the cup holder area cleaned out from previous customers, other than that it was an easy experience and very affordable

If you are not mechanically inclined or have the strength to pick up the trailer tongue, there is no help or guidance hitching the trailer. My experience was pay your money and good luck.
