Randy SSet up to have mobil checkout. Key was not in lock box, store was closed though they were supposed to be open. Redivert to another location, pickup truck. Glass had crack in it and ramp did not function.

Patti RI hate sending bad reviews but have to on this one. The staff were very nice. The truck was awful. It had a cracked windshield. It was filthy inside. The check engine light was on. It slipped gears going up hills. It was so loud that we could not have a conversation. We actually were concerned about making it to our destination. Thankfully we got there and back. We did ask for a different truck before we left and were told they were all going out. That truck should have been cleaned up and repaired, or taken off the road. It was in awful condition. Sadly, while the staff was nice, we spent a decent amount of money for an unsafe truck.

Jon EMy disappointment is with U-Haul not the rental location or return. My wife and I flew from Georgia to Tuscan expecting to drive our rented 10ft truck back to Georgia. The reservation was made 1 month in advance at a location 1 mile from the airport.The day before We landed in Tuscan we recieved a text that the closest available truck was 70 miles away. We were on a tight time schedule with no way to go pick up a truck that far away. The original local u-haul dealer was great and found the exact truck u-haul could not find only one mile away. After spending 4 hrs loading and securing our load we noticed the light for tire pressure guage was not funtioning. I purchased a tire guage to monitor it myself because there was no time to find a new truck and transfer my furniture. It turned out the monitor was the problem the tires were fine. The contract included 2100 mile and 6 days.. We returned the truck in with 1900 miles and in 5 days. U-Haul charged me $5,7 for gas because I was 1/8 of a tank off at the return. On both ends we worked with good local dealers but the service from U-Haul was extremely disappointing. I hope in the future u-Haul allows local dealers to make decisions that rectify obvious issues to make the rental experience reasonable. They actually interface with the customer.
