The people that work there were very helpful because you guys screwed up my reservation, which was at a different location bought the vehicle itself. The transmission didn't work very well and slipped and the back right wheel. The bearings were going and leaking bearing grease all over plus something was leaking underneath the steering column, which got all over my shoes.

During my use of storage facilities everything was above average yhe elevator was down at least 4 times in december and January but they have alternate elevator just inconvenient but it worked out for me well thank u definitely will use again

I feel nothing needs to be changed. You have great customer service for polite employees. Very satisfied with location. Way better than location at 435 Manheim Rd. location so poor in business. This location at Melrose Park is my favorite place to rent U-Haul equipment.

I had a bad experience with the workers. I dropped my rental off 6 hours before I was even needed to return it. I left the gas exactly where it was when I picked it up. Walked the keys inside and handed them to an employee behind the desk. The following day I received a phone call asking if I planned on returning the truck because I'm late. Even though said truck was returned early the day prior. Then received a second phone call from employee saying I didn't return the equipment from the back of the truck even though one of the items I didn't receive at the time of rental. Then I received a final bill stating I left the truck on empty and had to pay an extra 30 dollars even though I left the gas exactly how I received it.

Miles on the truck were nearly 20miles off from my paper work. I returned the truck same day. I had the truck for 4 hours and they charged me for an extra day. Plus a late service fee. I have contacted U-Haul. They respond saying we will call you back but never did! I have to call repeated times.

4 movers at $200 an hour were stopped because the lock on the door was locked without a key I reserved the floor the week before and the unit that day online. Locally they gave a couple a lock which was used for my reserved unit. It took an hour to get it straightened out. Cost me 200. I was supposed to get 1st month free but I was charged and no one can tell me if I get the 2 nd month free Not ideal

Only one issue, customer service rep was friendly but not helpful after processing ppwk. I was confused over how the access the ground floor outside storage and no directions given on how to gain access to unit or where lock was. Turned out you had to break a twist tie to get into unit, which wasn't easy, and the lock was inside after lifting the door.

Only a problem I have is that the Iowa lights don't stay on long enough they don't see movemin some cases. I live in PA and rented an outside parking space at U-Haul in Melrose Park, IL to store my car while I rented a different vehicle for a work contract in the upper midwest for the winter. I've always had a great experience with the U-Haul facilities I've done business with and this location absolutely upheld those standards. I was very nervous to leave my car in one of the most populated areas in the country for a few months, but Christina eased my worry by pointing out the good lighting and the security cameras when she showed me where to park. I picked up my car on a Sunday during business hours and everyone was helpful with my questions and my car was exactly as I had left it. I don't know if the inside storage units operate the same but note that there is not a prorated rate offered, only a monthly rate - this information is in the contract so I knew ahead of time and planned accordingly. Very happy with this facility!

It was too expensive for such a small unit (5 x 10), when the (5 x 5) unit is $60. The 5 x 10 unit is literally double the price. And there wasn't a freight elevator so some of my property couldn't fit in the elevator. I had to be creative. However, everything else was great.

Christina is very personable and friendly and made my experience checking into UHaul at this Melrose Park, IL location relaxed and easy. I had two vehicles I was managing along with an Uber ride and had to use up 2 parking spaces for about 1/2 hour while managing all this and they were very kind and understanding. I reserved a unit to store my vehicle and Christina helped me feel confident that it will be safe at this location.

The service of the people at the 975 north Avenue location was horrible rude and disrespectful. The only excellent review I will give is for the Manager Ms Christine she was a great help very understanding very professional and a great person to work with. Shaniyah Gable was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. She exibited patience as I processed the information given to me. She made sure I did not carry purchased products by offering me a cart and assistance. I asked to meet the manager Christina Quintanilla. Upon meeting Christina I quickly understood why I recieved such great customer service. She was as pleasant and professional as her agent. I also saw pride and teamwork. I have relocated from a smaller community in central Illinois where I am used to great customer service. In my three years of living in Cook County, Shaniyah Gable was the first person to meet and exceed that level of service.

Each time we went to the facility over a four month period, something was out of service: the elevator, the automatic sign in, the locking system. The staff seemed to be accustomed to these break downs as if they were usual fare. The whole place is clean inside. Outside, the parking surfaces are uneven and bumpy. The computer systems seemed to be regularly down when we were dealing with the front staff.

This is a busy facility that is under staffed. In addition the staff that is there is not that knowledgable on fees, etc. And because they are so busy nobody is really nice. We told them we werecgoing to drop off after hours. They Never went through the process of having to go on line and check it in or there would be an additional $20 fee. In addition opening our locker same day as rented kept setting off the alarm. We were told the system needs a day to process us.

I decided to move out from this location due to very high prices and fees, on the last day of my contract I was being charged almost twice as much., I tried to show the attendant the emails I received with the right amount but he totally ignored me, on top of that I had to wait for 1 hour for them to remove their lock.

Have better customer service. Explain to people the right way. Not fair how we pay extra to not even be able to access to put our Stuff in the storage. Got charged for nothing and want us to hurry up because someone else had that truck reserved. Not our problem. Been calling all day and night and no pick up. Calling right now too and No pick up again. There's no carts to carry stuff to the storage absolutely nothing. Don't pick up the phone but they are texting on their mobile device?? Unbelievable. Worst location.
