The site was out of padding/blankets, which I had ordered. No biggie - I used my own blankets, but it was a little disapointing.

Patricia H.I waited 45 minutes for assistance which threw my plan for the day off. This is the second time I used this location. The first time I got charged for gas that I paid for and the company refused to reimburse me. The manager was extremely kind and friendly. Staff was extremely kind as well.
Adriane H.We got told to leave by the end of the month because they were closing down. The elevator was broken so we had to carry everything down the stairs. Meaning we had to leave some of our items because they were simply too heavy to carry down. Then we were told we were going to a new location. I thought this meant we would pay as usual the first of the month just to find out we got sent to a whole different company.

However, I was given another charge when returning the vehicle and there was extra gas that I was told could not be deducted from my total bug there would have been no problem adding a charge if I has not put any gas in the vehicle at the return. And I was not notified prior to getting to the place to p/u the vehicle that they didn't have a dolly. I had to go all the way to the Bronx for a dolly . I recommend anyone to find another truck rental company.

Patricia H.Employee behind the desk was asleep when I showed up, and did not wake up to help me. Then who I assume was his wife had to help me. The vehicle was covered in dirt and scratches, and the passenger side mirror was cracked and basically unusable. Even the alley where the vehicles were parked was full of trash. Worst Uhaul experience I have ever had.

Adam has a great personality and made me feel comfortable through the entire process. He was polite, courteous, and very professional. If I need a UHaul again, I will definite come back to this location.

ANGEL A.Everything was good until I returned the vehicle and was told you don't give credit for a full gas tank. Everyone else does, and I feel it's imperative you change this practice. It's not fair to the customer. Of course, you charge people when gas tank is less than when vehicle was taken out, why should you not give credit for tank that's fuller than when vehicle was taken out? It's looks cheap and you taking advantage of customers.

PORFIRIO C.I have rented from this location 2 times now because in the site it shows it opens at 8:00 am. The first time the person from the office showed up 49 minutes late. There were 5 people waiting to get vans. This last time he was late again (same person) 25 min. Last time at this place, if I have to wait, I may as well go to a closer location to my house even if they open at 9am.

It looked like it hasn't been cleaned in over two months it's still had over eight receipts on the dashboard For side street parking the vehicle had cracked glass on the side. It has dents all over the vehicle and the back door had two bullet holes I've been renting from U-Haul for over 20 years from different states and this is the first time that I was completely disappointed, and I was told there was nothing else available for me. The person that took care of me was not customer friendly at all. I think his name was David but I could be wrong. By the way the vehicle was in need of an oil changed it kept popping up on the dashboard. It's so sad for a company like this. Who's been around for a long time let this go on, I will never use U-Haul again

Jordan L.I was charged for 70 miles when I drove under 10 miles. Instead of being charged $1,99 a mile I was charged $125. Customer service has been no help. I will not be using U-Haul ever again.

ALEXANDER E.My reservation was cancelled without warning or direction and without my knowledge. Luckily when I arrived, the worker was incredibly gracious and understanding and was able to help me with the reservation. I had been running late to pick up the van since this is new york and I cannot get the van until I am ready to double park it and move out. The truck itself wasnt particularly clean and there were no directions on the return procedure (late fee? Do we need to fill it with gas like a rental car? Can we return to another uhaul location? How to return the car) There were no clear directions on returning the car. We returned the truck on time, and a Uhaul employee took the truck from us to repark it. I was not able to “check our†at that time or by using the app which I guess is what is expected. So I was notified on the app that the reservation was still active and the truck had not been returned which was entirely incorrect! This very much stressed me out because I did not want to be charged a late fee for a truck that was delivered on time. The check out process needs to be significantly improved. The app asked for my IPHONE LOCATION to confirm the vehicle drop off which is entirely a privacy violation. The truck should have a location tracker that is used to ping the location. Further this is not a very good way to go about confirming if the car was returned especially because location services are faulty in NYC.

ELAMIR M.Vans/Trucks should be ready AT the time of pickup. I was given a broken vehicle at that. The gas tank is broken. I don't think I should be paying for this horrendous experience.
Wren R.The location overall was absolutely filthy. Where the unit was located there was human feces and general trash and debris everywhere. The interior of the location was discovered. The unit rented has numerous safety concerns to include a low battery, broken mirrors, non functioning door locks and the heavy presence of gasoline fume. Generally I'm happy with UHaul but this location missed the mark by a mile.
