Madleen KThe app sucks to return equipment. I had to bring the key with me because it doesn't tell me where to drop the key off or any code to the lockbox. I call customer service it says wait time s less than 5 min I been on hold 17 min and I am on hold while I write this email. This app also doesn't show me how many miles the speedometer started out with so I can calculate what I owe. I called customer service and they were just clueless. So irritating

Bobbette CThe gas was extremely low when I picked it up (just shy of 1/8 tank) and I realize you only have to return it with what you used but keeping them full and having to return it with a full tank like a rental car is a much simpler way of doing it. I had to guess how much gas to put in and then got a gas credit. It's the same thing as having a full tank, it's just a more complicated way of doing it.

The location is not in the best part of town, but the employees make sure that your belongings are safe and that you feel protected. I hope I do not move again anytime soon, but if I did, I would use this location because the employees are great!
Shannon DPlease do your best to put a utility dolley in every uhaul van and have enough for rent at every uhaul location. The staff at the 5024 Olive location did their best to find and locate either utility or Appliance dolley for me. They called around to the other uhaul locations in West Phoenix, around Glendale and Peoria, all was in vain. I was surprised to know that there were no dolleys, utility or Appliance dolleys in this particular geographical area. That is the height of inefficiency considering what a great company uhaul is. I am a builder. A few months ago I rented several uhaul vans from The North and South Phoenix areas. I didn't have to worry about dolleys. Every van I rented had a utility dolley in place inside the van. They also had Appliance dolleys for rental, especially the Cave Creek/FWY101 location. The staff at the 5024 Olive location in Glendale told me that the reason they no longer have dolleys in the west Phoenix and Glendale locations is because people steal the dolleys from the vans. Theft is no excuse for inefficiency or failures of corporate responsibility. As a matter of fact, most times when I rent a uhaul van, I do that to gain access to a dolley. Now you can understand why I am angry that I couldn't find a dolley in the entire Glendale and West Phoenix areas. Uhaul is synonymous with efficiency, Appliance dolley and Utility dolleys. I have no doubt that theft is your reason for removing the dolleys from the vans. I was just wondering why you have failed to buy more dolleys to replace the stolen ones. Yes dolley theft is prevalent. But that's not enough reason to lose all the revenue that comes from dolleys rental. Replenish the dolleys and keep enough at every location. You have enough space to store them. Alongside with asking the renter how many miles they are willing to prepay, ask the customer if they would like to rent or buy a dolleys for their move, too. If the customer opted to rent, then insure the rented dolley and charge the premium to the customer. If the customer failed to return the dolleys after their rental, the insurance on the dolleys would reimburse uhaul for the cost of the dolley. If you don't want to insure the dolleys, then add the replacement cost of the dolleys to the rental agreement and reimburse the customer if they returned the dolley intact. Simply.
Ugochukwu OI reserved a hand dolly but when I got there there was none available. Called several different stores none available. Robert Riggs responded to a message for a fridge dolly and I had to drive there and he was just standing around, which as a Mgr he could of message me bc I was already an 1,5 into a move with no dollys and he said no dolly available. I thanked him for being so professional and not responding to the message and walked away upset
Lori MAlthough I reserved a dolly there wasn't one available. I was never notified and the staff didn't seem to care that this was a major inconvenience. I had to go to Harbor Freight and buy one for $70. With all the fees you guys throw in, a rental that you advertise for $19,95 cost me over $150 with the new dolly. Next time I'll rent from someone that doesn't snowball me with fees.

What I want to be addressed is UHAUL not pro-rating for the unused portion of the month. I have been renting for almost a year, I was on auto pay, and followed all policies. The employees at this location said that they do not prorate, if I knew that was the case I would have moved my stuff out a few days earlier or pushed it back so I could utilize my space and get my monies worth. I was also told when I rented the unit that any unused boxes could be bought back, now I'm told that I need my receipt. I bought them the same day I rented the unit and the moving truck. I'm sure it is in your system that I purchased the boxes, however I was told they couldn't look for me and it would be hard to find. Not if I have a contract for the unit and truck I think they could have located my purchase if they looked. Or if I was told that I needed to hang onto my receipt to get the but back, I would have. Please have someone follow up with me via email. I have tried settling this with the location but I guess this is out of their training or authorization abilities. TLMonaco68@gmail.com Thank you

This was a problem, there really weren't other options which makes one wonder why you even make reservations with U-Haul… but the gentleman, Behind the counter was able to find something that worked. It will cost me quite a bit more not thrilled about that. This is not the first time that I've reserved Some thing from U-Haul they didn't really exist when I got there. Yes I do still use U haul services but I have to say you need to get better at knowing what you have in inventory and making sure you don't double book! I said that I wouldn't recommend U-Haul to a friend there was no maybe offered, I may recommend it but I would let them know that even though you book ahead what you've ordered may not be there so be leery! It ended up OK and I have a storage unit but it's costing me way more and it's not a drive up one I'm a senior didn't really wanna have to put everything on a cart and wheel it around in the buildingAnd made reservations so I wouldn't have to do that but now I'm doing it anyway at a higher price not exactly thrilled. However that being said, the people who actually worked at the store did the best they possibly could with an impossible situation that start it from your 800 number

When I was ready to move in (during business hours 2 days later), I learned that I was given a refund because they had double booked the unit. The refund wouldn't show for a few business days so they wanted me to pay again. I can't afford that. I didn't receive a call or text and unfortunately I showed up ready to move into no unit.

Nancy C | Premières impressionsI went there earlier today to rent a storage unit and was helped by a new employee. He was very friendly, but he missed quite a few important details. After completing the transaction, I went to check out my unit. I was not offered to be shown where it was by the office staff, and when I tried to get in through the doors, they didn't open. The janitor informed me I needed to use my card. I was not given a card. I had to go back inside and ask for my card. Not a big deal at this point. I was given my card and was able to get in. When I went to the basement to view my unit, it was locked. I was informed by the personnel in there that I needed approval for them to remove the lock. I spoke with the "manager" Coty, and she said it was approved. So I went to get back in, and the door would not open. After standing there for a few minutes, I went back inside and spoke with Coty again (who was too busy to make sure I had everything I needed to complete my transaction). She then informed me it would take 24 hours for my card to open the doors even though it was checking me in and out. She then pointed out a door that I could use that was in the office (would have been helpful to mention during the rental transaction). I then went and found the janitor and let him know that Coty authorized the removal of the lock. He removed it and asked me where my lock was. I told him that I was told they weren't provided and would have to buy my own (and was not told they sold them there), and he told me that it should have been. I returned to the office again, and asked Coty if I could ask her a quick question, (about the lock), and she told me I'd have to wait until she finished helping the customer she was with. I then told her that I had not been fully helped, and she ignored. I only wanted to question about the lock. At this point, I was thoroughly frustrated with this entire ordeal. When it was my "turn", I inquired about the lock in which she told me "how am I supposed to know you weren't offered a lock?" in a rude tone. I then told her that I would like a refund since if it's this difficult now, why would I want to continue this agreement. She then told me, and in a very rude tone with angry facial features that "Don't take this out on him, he's new!" I said I wanted a refund again, and it was processed. The issue here is that they had a new employee with no training, the "manager" didn't care, and the rudeness when trying to get everything straightened out. I don't work there, so how am I supposed to know the procedure? Coty is a terrible manager, and if you, the owner, check this, please re-think your employee decisions.

He made it to where I couldn't get back in that night. I was trying to organize my stuff and clean up and grab some things on the way out. He made that very difficult for me! I never had a problem before that, but I thought that was very rude to do that behind my back.
